March 9, 200719 yr correct me if i'm wrong, but whenever someone visits a website, it's stealing bandwidth from them. This is from spy-ware does, is it steals your bandwidth, making your internet connection slower. It is not in a sense stealing any money, but they are probably paying more money for more bandwidth...Here is what jagex needs to do...make there own worldswitcher, complete with there own adds, own tools...everything, Why doesn't jagex make a client that does more then just open runescape up in a browser with no browsing ability? As for dynamic sigs, all jagex would need to do is create a feed. They're not going to do that tho, because there to proud and stubborn to help out their fansites, and would rather make it more difficult. They choose to get rid of the problem by rather then compromise, just doing away with the dilema completely. Jagex, fun nazi's of runescape.
March 9, 200719 yr OMG Bloodveld I've driven through Intercourse PA before, I live like an hour away =p*wonders what moron named it that* Exactly what I thought the first time I was there. lulz @ rs
March 9, 200719 yr Author What's this I hear about bookmarking world 2 not working anymore? You do know you must disable JavaScript in your browser for that to work? Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
March 9, 200719 yr If its true half of their bandwidth is taken up by 1% of users just spamming highscore look ups for their sigs, then HELL YEAH stop that. I'd rather have a LESS LAGGY GAME than be able to see whatever the hell random-person-i-dont-care-abouts stats are today i am pretty sure the server that host your game and the server that host the website and hiscore is different... a while ago, an earthquake has broken the undersea cables to America and asia. at that time, i can still access to the main page (really slow of cause) i can also got into some game worlds, but speed depends on which world i choose. however, i got no access to usa game worlds... so you can see spamming highsocre dont really affects the game, but just cost jagex more $... oh, btw it also proves that the "best" world thing is a joke, it direct me to a USA world that i cant connect at that time... March 9, 200719 yr I think Jagex seem to have become more overprotective of the younger players who still own their accounts, after the game was made 13+. I think they have become to parent-like with censoring words like dam and crap. Its hard to imagine how a stat sig and an IRC chat channel can destroy the community, but I would rather be extra careful and not run the risk of being bombarded by angry adults whose computers have Trojans due to dodgy software. I think we are dealing with a double sided sword fellow 'scapers. I Quit. You should too.
March 9, 200719 yr I also believe that most players would happily give up their high score related sigs for a faster more effiecient game. I Quit. You should too.
March 9, 200719 yr I also believe that most players would happily give up their high score related sigs for a faster more effiecient game. oh no... i repeat, the game servers and the web servers are different hosts... check their whois information! from what i know, draynor.net change their update time to 24hours per update... March 9, 200719 yr i personally dont use em anymore, i think most people is a bit lazy to click my username. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER.
March 9, 200719 yr Well that sucks... I wonder how they are going to fix them? (I just wanted to post to check on the status of my sig :P) EDIT --- it's still working, do I have to take it out? I'm going to take it out ^.^ What about the calcs on tip.it, they automatically gather data as well, don't they?
March 9, 200719 yr If you want a Dynamic Stat Signature, then just make some picture, or just a URL link... And link it to the high scores board, rather than the data on it. By all technicality, by clicking the link, you are requesting the information. It's not being uploaded for everyone to see when no one would want to see it... Just look at my signature... don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat

But, i also beleive that dynamic sigs are lame...I'd rather make my own signiture...I've actually had mine for over 2 years...I just think it kind of sticks with me...When people see the santa, they know who it is posting...you know? I have others, but don't change em just cuz i like the association between me and my current sig.

I have others, but don't change em just cuz i like the association between me and my current sig. You just proved my point. Not all people want to see people's stats. That's what Jagex is trying to accomplish: Stat signatures that show stats and access the server when they aren't necessarily wanted. If you wanted to see my stats, you'd have to click the link to see it. This would be a valid request, and would not put strain on their server because few people would click it in the first place, and they'd only click it because they wanted to. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
March 9, 200719 yr I think that those stat sigs are boring, I don't mind not having to look at them. (thx for the sig idea bloodveld) you know there is a place called outside, better graphics 100% pvp and no fee to play :-w
March 10, 200719 yr Well that sucks... I wonder how they are going to fix them? (I just wanted to post to check on the status of my sig :P) EDIT --- it's still working, do I have to take it out? I'm going to take it out ^.^ What about the calcs on tip.it, they automatically gather data as well, don't they? calculators are allowed if you had read what andrew has written... calculator dont automatically gather data, they do it manually... when you press the get stats button... also, most "working" sigs now delayed their update time... most are around 24 hours per update, so if you lv up today, you need to wait for 1-24hours to get it updated... for those broken ones, we still have to wait until they come up some bright ideas.... March 10, 200719 yr Bones_Zero Yours rules. It's so random its awesome. Nice trend you started, bloodveld. Credits to Skully Sc for the signature.
March 10, 200719 yr Custom sigs ftw :XD:  So, is there any way that Jagex can enforce their rule short of taking legal action?
March 10, 200719 yr Finally. Stat sigs were always so annoying and unoriginal. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

March 10, 200719 yr Finally. Stat sigs were always so annoying and unoriginal.Amen. I think that those stat sigs are boring, I don't mind not having to look at them. (thx for the sig idea bloodveld)I actually lol'd at yours. Also, thanks for your swift payment of $19.99. I think "someone" *coughwizard111111cough* has forgotten that I need MY PAYMENT! That's it, I'm calling the penguins... :^_^: I drew that smilie, btw, along with a few more used by this site.Classic bloodveld for lyph3! Although I do like the new ones.Like a ninja, here I was, gone I am now.BUT! I may be back! Add my new account, Dr Bloodveld!
March 10, 200719 yr Emm yeah, my payment is in the post...I hope you accept the payment in rice. What about some compromise? Every time someone looks at my sig you can have some sort of royalty? If that doesn't do it for you, I have a back-up plan involving a red pen and the dinosaur in question... @Trade_With
March 10, 200719 yr i've gotta say, i'm loving this new sig... though i don't post enough anymore for anyone to see it...
