Ra Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 I dunno if this is a rant or what, but really I've just been starting to think that Jagex forgot about this series.. The only other time that they didn't release another quest in the series for this long was when they released rs2.. As of mid April this year it will have been 1 year & 6 months since the release of Mournings Ends II.. These are the quests & release dates for them 17-Oct-2005 ME2 19-Jul-2005 ME1 07-Feb-2005 Roving elves 20-Sep-2004 Regicide (runescape2) 03-mar-2003 Underground Pass 23-Oct-2002 Biohazard 27-Aug-2002 Plague City As you can see The only big break was with rs2 in between.. and that was over a year & 6 months... maybe I should have been more patient with this thread, but I've really been wondering about it.. Dunno if anyone else has heard anything or has been wondering.. but it really has been a while.. agentster Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 maybe they are making it wayy better so it would be funer? or maybe they hav to finish their make over before they get into the "quest mood"? still a good series like this is probably hard to program.. quest cape achieved 4/22/07 only had 6 months of members so... ha! Those places are so huge and so detailed its rediculous...so my suspicion is that MEP3 will be released within the next 3-4 months, and it will shut up every "LEIK PMG JAGEX h8Z HIGHER LVLS!11" saying person. Only that Mod Dylan has been working very hard on training staff within our Content team, and he's not had so much time for developing elf stuff as a result. He did, however, create the Elemental Workshop quests, which seem to have been remarkably popular. And a little later... I mean he's been investigating new game engine features, training the rest of us on how to program with them, reviewing other developers' code for bugs, working on a bigger job involving the music interface, etc... while also producing Elemental Workshop II... but not having time to sit down and play with his elves. It's amazing how much time a programmer can spend NOT programming. There WILL be more in the elf plot. Just... don't hold your breath. Piman Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 it will probably be a long time... jagex keeps coming up with new storylines, and not finsihing them There are a bunch of unfinished quest series that they might get to first, if at all, like: dwarf series (red axe company is planning something big) white knight series (there has to be more things on the way) morytania+vampyres (nobody knows what the vampyres are really up to) dorgushuun goblins (more stuff coming out this month) elemental workshop (extra doors that hint at more things to do) digsite/varrock series (whats up with the old city beneath varrock) gnome series (we don't know what ancient glouphrie is up to, or glough for that matter, probably has more demons up his sleeve) tower of life (theres mysterious stuff in the basement) yeah theres probably more, but jagex just keeps adding new quests and plotlines without finishing up old ones, so don't expect anything for a long time. I got so mad after the first 3 hours. I hope they release the next part of the serious, even though in my opinion, the Mourning End's series is sort of off track than the Plague City ones.
