Immature high lvls and others Pt1: CW

Don't get me wrong not all high levels who play CW are immature but I find that most who play are. I guess I will talk about some problems I have with CW.

Which is true. It used to be a fun community game. A lot of my friends I made came from playing CW and helping each other out. But now...It seems like people find it the best place to blow off steam with others.

I always am nice when playing it and don't complain when people kill me because O.K I am dead. Yipee. But apparently, this affects others in different ways. Some people don't like when I kill them.

Its a game that basically revolves around you stealing a flag while simultaneously killing enemies who are trying to get your flag. But sometimes people cannot accept the killing part.

EXAMPLE:

[hide]I was playing and fighting where my teams flag respawns with a level 79. (I am 66). I fight him and end up killing him. He had a whip and dds. He PMs me complaining that noobs are not supposed to kill high level people in the game. Well, I had nothing to say to this but "If it ticks you off so bad that you are getting killed by people, then don't play CW." To which he responds "I don't care about getting killed, its getting killed by a noob." Well I am sorry that I killed you. I am sorry that I have not played as long as you.[/hide]

I think noob is sometimes misused. It is used to describe someone who acts like a child who is pathetic at this game. I don't think it should be used as a way to describe someone who has not played as long as you. I only use it in game if someone is acting so stupid that I would like to slap them. No flames about this I am just stating my opinion.

Heres another thing that annoys the hell out of me:

Respawn attackers

This is what I have always called high levels who sit outside your teams respawn and attack you once you come out. They act like they are all that until they finally get killed. And then they usually complain.

Another thing I find stupid is higher level people who feel the need to run off from some battle with another high level person in order to kill me. I think its stupid considering

a. I am a low level and you are not gonna get much experience by hitting me with a god sword twice and killing me.

b. I think its stupid for high levels to attack me in general. Especially when I am attacking someone my level and they feel the need to jump in.

Another thing is when high levels hit you when you have like 5 hp and say pooned noob.

No point in the comment.

Anyway, underground, I have problems with those potions. Some guy on your team randomly kills someone on there on team with it.

a. Stupid and then you complain about people PMing you with comments about you acting nooby.

b. Its just a waste of time anyway.

Thats funny. Big abuse. I bet Jagex knows that there potions kill people. And I bet they knew that some idiots would use it to stop there own team in order to have some fun.

Anyway, now that I think I summed up my castle wars problems (and I know I am speaking for a lot of lower levels) I think I will make a group who will support a level beginner CW game and a normal and expert game. I think it might be a little better and I dont know if anyone on these forums would support it but I think its worth a thinking about. If I wasted anyones time, sorry, just stating something I am thinking about. Plz don't turn this into some flame war and I have other things I will complain about to. And these don't all have to do with high levels. Anyway, I will start the campaign for 3 seperate (or more) CW games.

Next I guess I will fume more problems on minigames and I will do a brief summary on how Jagex should stop macroing. Its probably not my problem

Also it's honor mainly getting killed by alvl 66 is degrading to a 100 or w/e.

Some people are having fun by w8ing for u to come out so they can own u but calling u noob is outragous!

PT 2: MACROERS

This one everyone know about. But its something I have to talk about if I am gonna do a rant about stuff I hate.

Macroers were not as used when RS2 first came out. At the moment, they are some of the most annoying things on Earth. Or Runescape. Jagex needs to find some program that detects this. Because this is one of the biggest problems Jagex has. And adding more and more randoms will not just stop macroers but annoy the living hell out of other people who actually play the game. There...

I really think that Jagex's way of stopping macroers is really affecting the player a lot. Most of the randoms come around like 20 times an hour and you could care less. And what if you just started fighting something, or got a rare drop and it happens?

if all high lvls ignored the lower lvls in cw the lower lvls would be able to make it to their base, grab the flag, and flee as quickly as possible...they jump in to kill you cause thats what they joined cw for: killing people whether they are lvl 3 or lvl 126. and also to prevent the number of people who are on their side of the castle from getting too large.

All spam/flame bait removed if you want to argue do it in private chat keep it off these boards.

Not only was that inappropriate to share amongst Tip It members but it was outright disturbing to read such a post.

On Topic: I will admit that I am basically speaking for low levels in this thread. High levels probably could care less.

this rant basically IS spam/flame bait... you are saying high lvls should fight high lvls ONLY? i like spawn killing especially with blood + ice barrage because it distracts the other team, making it easy for my team to score, also its fun and i dont care if i die, i just run straight back. i simply dont see the point in not attacking someone in a combat area simply because they are low level. btw the lvl 79 you said about is a jerk, and people who pm people saying owned etc are also just jerks. also crushing the rocks isnt "Bug abuse", only complete noobs crush it on their own team though.

People do love killing lower levels at CW, and they always misuse the term "noob". But it gives the little kids self gratification. :anxious:

Honestly, you're trying to debate the fact that a high level should be similar to maturity. It ain't happenin'; I thought that Pest Control would have proven that to most of us.

Just realize that in life, there are nice guys and there are jerks, and you can choose to either ignore the bad and accept the good, or complain about one and let it overshadow the others.

I think the real problem is as follow:

Steve is bored. Steve goes to CW. He grabs some bandages, then goes to fight. At some point, he is teamed on by 5 persons of the adverse team. They laugh at him, and insult him while he dies. Steve is pissed off now. He goes back, tries to get revenge, but gets killed again, feeling even more frustrated. Steve keeps playing through the late evening, and is now, like the people who did with him, laughing at the people who die, to evacuate some frustration which he build up during his stay at CW. And thus, the cycle goes on and on.

Don't get me wrong not all high levels who play CW are immature but I find that most who play are.

This is what I have always called high levels who sit outside your teams respawn and attack you once you come out.

If you don't want to die then stay inside the room until the high level is killed. Or don't play CW because dying is a part of the game.

If you target the lower levels you get an enormous kill count at the end, something like 50+ whereas if you target higher level people (p.s. higher level is at least 110) then you get very few, if any.

I think it's fun to kill people. Why should you be exempt because you are lower level? No reason except in your head.

Also, I personally *always* go for the lowest level person available because they are the ones who annoy me everyday in Rs with begging, scamming, spamming chat, etc. It is also impossible to actually pk them since wildy doesn't go up to level 126. :(

Lower levels do that a LOT more.

yes i see HIGH lvs being immature, im a lv 101 and was using ancients to have some fun :twisted: and i was standing on the wall of our castle when i a lv 111 comes running, i blitz her and range her with my c bow. SHe says to me noob farcaster come down here nad fight, so i equip rune def with whip and my ahrims i blitz her ( after i killed her the first time) and i start whipping her so i kill her and she's like noob. LOL i did what she sayed and couldnt think of anything to say. Pathetic and immature.

Back on topic the "lv 77" isnt a high lv i believe high lvs are 100+ but yea ive seen alot of 80-lvs being immature.

Ok, for starters, a level 79 is definately not high.

Also, if they made CW into divisions for levels, where would be the fun in going there and 2 hitting some noobies!?

i agree with you there. after going to my new account which has lower level im about to play castle wars to see the reaction of others but on my old account ( 93 ) i respected players but then when a certain 101 comes up to me and says "rune is for noobs" i laughed when he hardly hit through me while my measly dds pierced through his torags. i just simply said "im sorry whos armor is nooby?" but there are people who vent anger in both good but bad ways.i vent it by enjoying something i like to calm down while others see it as an opportunaty to kill and laugh. one point i will most def' agree is people sitting outside the respawn room, havent you got something better to do then ruin the fun?

I think that they should do so that the teams can't communicate with each other, that would solve a big problem of CW.

This thread is great! Now, I want to go to CW asap and attack every low level I see! I want to spend hundreds of bloods and deaths on ancienting the enemy as he respawns! I want to find the lowest level I can, and kill him! I want to annoy as many people as I can just by playing the game the way it's supposed to be played!

It's weird how a good, valid strategies become "noobish" and "immature" when it works against some people. Just like in the wildy, when you eat you're a safer and you get flamed for it just because they can't get your stuff.

Also, generally speaking, I think higher levels are more mature. But I ain't looking at the combat level when I say that, more the total level. To have high levels in most of the non-combat skills, you do need patience, method and not a little savvy (unless you scam people and buy your way through in which case you are the exception).

Meh, C wars is meant to be a fun game for everyone but it is up to each player how they play it, no one would be complaining if the high levels on their own team were outside the enemies respawn room and killing them. Also with the attitude towards noobs/inexperienced players, its just one of those things that comes with the game, you just gotta get on with it.

Its like those pures who stand and watch you get piled on by 10 enemies and say "l0l 0wned" when they didn't manage a single hit on you, just give them a lol and comfort yourself that you aren't degrading yourself to their level by staying courteous and having fun.

You called a 79 "high level"? Wow. Please. Don't judge high levels by somebody who'd die in the first 10 seconds in the fight pits. 79 isn't even close to high, that's the lower end of moderate. He was acting like a totally immature level 79. Seriously, I'm not shocked.

I've probably guilty of all those "mean high levels" actions you've mentioned. I've respawn camped before, I've broke off a fight with somebody to kill some random noob. That doesn't mean it was without reason.

If I'm respawn camping, that means the game is completely over. My team has either done horribly and there's no chance, or done so well that haven't got a prayer. I'm just passing the time til my tickets.

And that innocent noob running by? I usually ignore them, but if I'm upstairs, I don't want some level 60 grabbing the flag while I'm preoccupied with a couple 115s, so yeah, I might break off for a second and barrage the 60 in place.

Seriously, what are you complaining about? The fact that people don't like being killed? Cw isn't ruined. It's far from ruined. I've made plenty of friends there.

And if you want to complain about a high level finishing you off with a 5 and screaming owned, then I have every right to complain when after killing somebody 15 times at the respawn they yell owned after I run out of aids.

If a low level is fighting a low level, of course I stop by and help my team mate out. Unless he asks for me to level him be, I will aid him. Its called "team work."

Actually, it seems like the majority of people who ruin cwars are lower leveled, mostly because they complain about getting killed all the time.... And its also usually the low levels who say stuff like '0mg 0wn3d j00 n00b' when 7 or 8 people just piled someone. And if you don't like it when people jump on your fights, ask for them to let you 1v1, I respect that, and so do most higher levels. And y'know, if you don't like getting killed, then there is a simple solution: Stop playing cwars, and go train. Thats what I did, and now I'm fine.
