Rudyaard
ICE TROLL KILLING GUIDE note: this is my first guide ever and i know it might have some faults. but please don't flame me for those  chapters: 1 = why kill ice trolls? 2 = recommended and needed skills and quests 3 = What to wear? 4 = What to bring? 5 = where do i find them? 6 = drops 7 = getting away 8 = extras 1. Why kill ice trolls? trolls drop items that you could sell for quite big bucks, like granite shields and rune kites. it's now confirmed that the low-level runts also drop these. if you have gotten this from a femal, please report this 8-) lavaownz reports you can get shields from females :D i'm killing ice trolls because they have quite good drops, such as granite shield and rune kiteshield. i have gotten several of both so far, and more they'll be. i've notice the drop quite alot of raw sharks also, and addy full helms, wich you can alch for 2112 gp 2. recommended and needed skills and quests needed: completed The Fremmenik Isle Quest. recommended: 70 range, 40 defence, 43 prayer (for lower levels) 3. what to wear? This is what i personally wear whil doing this: but you can of course take what you want, if you dont want anything of this what i got > what you can use instead head: archer helm > robin hat > leather coif > leather cowl > anything that doesn't give negative range stats back: achievement cape > fire cape > obsidian cape > legends cape > any cape >awa's ackumulator (thank's screechingmu for that) neck: glory > fury > power > accuracy > any amulet quiver: steel arrows > any arrows body: black d'hide body > karils body > any d'hide armour legs: Black d'hide chaps > Karil's leatherskirt > any d'hide armour hands: Mage shortbow > karil's crssbow > crystal bow > any bow hands: rfd barrows gloves > any d'hide vambraces > any rfd gloves feet: boots of lightness > whatever boots you want ring: Ring of Wealth > ring of life > any ring 4. What to bring? this is what i bring. i'm 80 hp while writing this and you can change the food as you want the fires and nats are for high alching items, as they drop qute much "alch junk" like as addy full helms and such. feel free to take more or less if needed / wanted if you can't see the picture (or just too lazy to see) this is what it is: 14 lobs 10 nature runes 50 fire runes (wich you of course can replace with a fire staff) 1 pray pot (2). just for getting there and away unharmed  one lletya teleport stone, just because you never know what will happen... 8-) Where do i find them? first of all; get to Neitiznot or Jatizso. once there, use the bank and retrieve the items you'll use. then just follow the red way. i made ways to all caves because i dont know if everyone can enter the eastern cave. while getting there, run and range pray. Once in the cave you should run quick to the safespot showed below, still range praying. the safespot is behind some broken barrels, while standing south of the most southern barrel the rangeing females won't be able to hit you or, if you don't want (or can) enter the cave, this is the map for you the blue dots on the map is really good if you want the drops only and don't care 'bout the exp. wait for honour guards to attack/ be attack by the trolls, and when they're fighting, just hit the troll sometimes. the important is to actually hit the troll, since you'll get the drop even if you only hit a 1. if you're training slayer with this method, be sure to hit the last splat, since you won't get exp else. creds to darkstar4441 for this map : this is the mining cave just northwest from Jatiszo this place is really good, due there are lots of rocks and other obstacles that you can use as safespots thank's ilakbomb for the pic : when running out for drops make sure you put on range pray, because the females, as you can see, will aim you, but can't hit you when you're in the safespot. but that will be a problem only in the beginning of each trip. when you've been there for a while they'll ignore you - become inaggressive. make sure the troll waiting for you wont get into the safespot while you get the drops, as you'll might to use need food / pray pot then Note: the rocks in the picture won't work as safespot. the trolls will walk straight over them 6. the drops! big bones, granite shield, rune kiteshield, adamant full helm, adamant axe (hatchet) raw sharks (noted), law runes, nature runes, earth runes, seaweed (noted), steel platebody, money, ball of wool (noted), rune warhammer, heb seeds, mithril warhammer, steel warhammer, adamant med helm, black warhammer, raw mackerel (noted) 7. Getting away to get away from there, simply follow the way you used to get there, just reverse it. remember to save some food for the run back! 8. Extra! i noticed that people going to kill / have killed the troll king while doing The Fremmenik Isles Quest. they might drag the trolls with them, so be careful as they can move from their spots where you are safe, to a spot where they can attack you. however, when you get uesd to this you'll only find it a bit annoying i also noticed that you don't get any range exp from these, i have reported this to jagex i thought you'd like this: it's what i got from a quite average trip (the seeds are irit and jangerberry) (didn't get fires, lobsters or teleport stone) happy troll slaying!

guzoliub
I was also disapointed with the no exp thingy, but: The ice trolls outside the caves give experience. Question - do they have the same great drops? Someone found a safe way to slay them (outside the caves)?
Rudyaard
Fury is better than glory, you should put the fury then the glory on the suggested equipment thingy ma bobber : i didn't say that glories are better than furies - i wrote what i personally use and what you can take instead if you don't want to take what i take
Freesia
Why achievement cape > fire cape? Fire cape totally owns achievement capes in terms of combat stats excluding prayer. I see that you are not that into praying, so fire cape should be better.. :-k Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(. Question - do they have the same great drops? Someone found a safe way to slay them (outside the caves)? Yes, they do give as good of drops. (I was going to bed, killing like 15, and got 2 Granite shields and 2 ranarr seeds... before that I got 1 rune kite and 1 rune warhammer). As for safe place to kill them, I found a decent place... let me post it, gimmie a second. Alright, got it. Here you go, freshly made :D.
