swordb88
Think about his. When someone dies and does not reach the gravestone in time there stuff vanishes. Well, that means less will be in circulation. Ive noticed a lot of gravestones lately, because people think they are safe. THATS NOT TRUE! one minute is not much time at all tbh. So less armor in circulation = higher prices correct? discuss LOL invite? PM me :)
Makoto_the_Phoenix
I'm willing to bet you haven't seen anything above the God-tombs (Armadyl, Angel of Death, etc)... I guess that armor is falling because people need to replace less of it at one time. (Verac helmet: 2.1M. Bummer if you lost it at KQ, which I have twice.) Think about this, too -- there's significantly more armor in circulation than you're led to believe. This means that prices will lower. ilya
No gravestones don't affect prices too much at all. WAY more armor is brought into the game (smithing, monster hunting, barrows etc..) then is being lowst. The prices are down because people are trying to get rid of their stuff because it's so easy now with grand exchange.

qeltar
There's going to be a tug-of-war on armor prices. Fewer people getting them but also less demand. In the last few days armor prices are generally down. wakka102
angel of death lasts 5 minutes....1 hour if someone blesses it....if anything more people will be getting their stuff back, and with the GE making stuff easy to sell prices will go even lower...you are waaay off
BBC3
the opposite is happening to your theory, since people can get their armor back and since more and more is being put into the game then prices are being lowered. 4000000657th to 99 cookin555555406th to 99 flethcin
Avatar200
there should be more armor, since there's bound to be a lot of solo monster hunters for now (till lootshare is changed). so we can safely expect barrow armours to rise for a while, due to ppl equipping their chars with gears to hunt monsters. then after a while, prices will drop since everyone will hunt monsters. i already see a lot more ppl at barrows than i used to... qeltar
i already see a lot more ppl at barrows than i used to... Hate to break it to you.. but that actually means Barrows prices are going to go *down* -- even more than they already are. Most people are going to get more items from the Barrows than they need to buy in order to do it. (That minigame is way too easy and needs an overhaul, but that's a different subject.) Latinoking
Do you know what your talking about? 5 minutes is plenty to pick up your item unless your in like DK or Mithrils maybe. But do people really fight these monsters without prior exp? No I am Teh_King[My dA][My Last.FM][My Twitter]
Artemis1330
Prices are now controlled by Jagex. They will only go down if Jagex gets off there [wagon] and changes the GE price. It's been 4 weeks, and I have seen little to no price changes on most items. I am not a skiller, but i do some skills.
Will H
As other people have said, the opposite is happening. You are much more likely to get your gravestone blessed by a passing stranger than that same stranger picking up your stuff and selflessly giving it back to you before the update. Greed used to be a factor, and it normally severely outweighed common courtesy, unless it involved very low leveled items. Now, courtesy is the only factor, and most dignified people would bless a gravestone if they had the Prayer points to spare. It results in a friendlier atmosphere, no more arguments such as 'OMG give me my stuff back noob!', but at the expense of the reduced chance of your stuff disappearing, causing the demand for replacement items to drop, and ultimately prices for weapons and armour which would usually be dropped would fall. So, it is a bad idea to invest at the moment. Prices will continue to fall until people realise that barrows and similar weapon/armour rewarding activities are not profitable enough. ~ W ~
Sephariol
Prices cannot rise for any item over 3k, as Jagex has put in set prices for all the items, and soon they are going to release a system in which you can borrow armour from a friend for a set time or until one of you logs out. Firstly, the price variation over time is not 3K, it's 5%. 3K (or more according to your qps) is just the amount that you can vary away from this price. And yes, they are working on a lending system, but many flaws have been pointed out with the whole idea of it returning is one of the participants logs out, so it isn't going to be like that. ~ W ~
sparky1_2007
the only items that will go up in price, are the cost of the boss monster drops, ala bandos armor, armadyl armor and all of the godswords. for the simple reason of not many teams are still doing them now that they cant share loot. retired 12-31-

mainiac2k3
Theres a lot more to the economy than just gravestones. Compared with the influx of supply and the different factors that must go into the price of materials, saying armor prices are going to rise is like saying the U.S. economy is going into a recession solely because of subprime. There are so many factors that need to be accounted for and the economy cannot be reduced to a simple analysis of gravestones.
primadog
Why speculate when the data's already there: It does appear that high level armours received a nice rise earlier, but it definitely stopped and in fact is dipping. The best reasons I found thus far is by Duke_Freedom If I look at the armour that dropped in price, it is mostly armour that can be mass-made, but which used to be a pain to sell in mass on the market. However, thanks to the liquidity that is now available, this issue has been taken away and thus their prices could drop quite a bit. High level armour may have risen as a result of the lowering rares prices. Another explanation may be that they actually dropped in price the weeks before the GE (as a result of the change that was made to dueling) and that they only regained what was lost. I haven't actually tracked their prices to know that though. All I learned in life, I learned on Tip.it

baalboy5
Your theory might be true but I doubt that many people are stupid enough to die with their rune/barrows. They either have a spare or are over confiedent(sp?) about their grave. But, after experience with the grave, I'm sure they won't think of dying agian cause it's safe :P Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
luker2d2
If you die somewhere were you're friends arent and its quite discreet, then you can run to get it back. How ever if it does vanish, then you need to buy a better gravestone. Kiss me, i'm part Irish!
