I like how you always reply to a thread just saying what others have already said, without adding anything :|. If you're not a pure and/or maxed, just using a whip on controlled is the best. If yes, just follow what troacctid said. I have seen so many people claiming that controlled training is the best method, but only attack and strength increase the rate that you get xp, so wouldn't training attack and strength up individually and then training defense while you have a higher attack and strength be faster than training all three at a slower rate? Bingo. I used to do controlled, then I (a) sold my whip (but I almost have it back) and (B) realised that my old method of att-str-def was actualy faster because I get the same end (1 up each level) but each level I get helps me train a bit faster. Even the def level helps since it means using less food, but I think att-str-def is best because the attack level gets you the most out of your strenth level.

The tip it mods seem to be resonable well educated (at least), and all of them are capable of speaking english. Aparently the acerage joe can't use a sentance where thus would be used because any synonoms would be even 'fancier' (ie therefore).

I don't bother reporting for offensive language since people have obviouslyu been kind to me over the years so I figure I should return the favor (exception being racist remarks and spamming). As for the others, I will report at my own discretion. I don't hunt for rule breakers but when I notice something that indicates teh game would be a truly better place without that someone I will report. I average maybe a report every month or two.

There is a difference between a teen who makes a dumb mistake and one who kills someone. There is also a difference between a teen who is on their forst offence and one who is on their 34th appearance in court (I am using a local example here). The first in each case do not need to be tried as adults, they can have the chance to be sorry and fix their mistakes. The latter in each case need to be punished. There is a girl in the city where I live who has commited 20 offences in the 2 years since she turned 14 (before which you can't be charged at all). That is one conviction per month with teh exception of two months a year. Obviously the system is not helping. Our youth justice thing is great for the people who make dumb choices and are sorry, but once they prove to everyone that they don't care, its time for something else. Once we see there is no remorse, stop trying useless rehibilitation and start using some actual punishment.

For MSSW at your level attack will likely have the biggest impact. You could raise your max hit by one, maybe 2 but I think only 1. You won't get you deffence up enough to make a difference if you get pilled or picked on by a few high levels. Attack will help to ensure that you do some dammage before you die thus benifiting the team (sorry if this was bleak, but your stats mean [cabbage] if you cant hit our enemys).

I don't think Runescape will decline around 2010, or even 2011 for that matter. Tons of people still play Diablo 2 and that game doesn't even get updated that much, so it makes sense that tons of people would continue to play a game that is updated almost every week. Plus, with new forms of advertising, such as the German commercial, more people that may not have even heard of Runescape may decide to give it a try. I think that Runescape will in fact gain more players in the coming years. Thats like comparing an elephant with my marble collection. Diablo II is just a freaking awsome game that comes around every few years. Few games can rival the success of diablo in terms of lifespan. I can think of two: Netrek(barely) and Continuum (which is still popular in some circles). But I do agree, for better or worse, alot of people will continue to play RS for many years. I do not however, expect a cult following on the level of Diablo (though they did wright a book, and the great games like Diablo series and Halo series also have their own novels with back and future story).

I don't think I have ever been reduced to noob calling. All I have ever seen that achive is 2+ people calling 'noob' and 'reported' in alternation. I have always said nothing or found something witty that actualy works. If I say noob I am just another 8 year old playing the game (which is 10 years under my real age), not something I want to be. And regular mail takes how long to reach HQ there? Oh, and teh majority of their player base is probably North America, specifficly the USA, so why not cater to them first? You may yet see these cards in the UK. JAgex has not released them there yet for many possible reasons. No company will sell for a price that is low enough to be acceptable (because markup is very important in this situation to Jagex and players), they don't think Brits will buy them, or the USA is a testbed for many other countries.

As nice as this is, I have to wonder if it is there to distract from the fact that he had access to credit information. CaseA: He just wanted to play around on a high level account for a while because he dose not have one himself. CaseB: He wen't through an awful lot of effort to get credit information (possibly). And getting a password is hardly hacking. It just means he was keylogged or had a bad pass.

For the record, anyone who pays by credit card should know that the price they pay and the money it costs are not the same. Any purchase by credit card is always subject to a fee by teh credit card company and if the monthly payment to the company is off by even one lowly cent, then you also get charged full interest on everything that card purchased in the last month. This is probably a bit more expensive than credit card (especilly if you have a perfect record), but for people with bad credit/no credit, or don't have a card (like many of the people who actualy play the game) this is a good alternative. Did people honestly expect this to be cheeper than credit card? Keep dreaming. It is worth pointing out that for people in Canada, I think this is about the same price as payby cash (where you deposit money in a third party bank account) which last I checked was a Canada only option. In the states you would have to mail the money, in canada sneaky little kids with bank accounts can do it themselves (actualy this was once teh way I did it, now I pay my dad who uses his card since its cheeper).

Ok the Strange Old Man, by my estimate, looks like he died about 200 years ago. Now Jenicas been dead a few hundred years, whos to say this strange old man is not the farm hand who ran away? I mean the Wise Old Man has been alive long enough to have interacted with many imcando dwarfs and he dosen't even look like he should be dead yet, and Trailborn is older still and also still looks alive. The strange old man could be animated dead, or someone who only still lives because some great guilt will not even let death come to him (much like how a ghost cannot move on only worse).

Over the summer, Jagex released a number of updates and information about updates later this year. As is to be expected, Jagex seems to prepare a few updates for the summer to help attract players and membership fees over the holidays. Now, for some people, they need not bother since these people will play more during the summer simply because they can. However, for many people summer is a time to be social, do some physical activities, or a time for many of the players in their later years of high school to get a job. The early summer was witness to one of the cleverer of Jagex's many marketing ploys, the membership fee increase. First, I congratulate Jagex on not changing the cost until now. If it were not for the sheer number of members, the price of membership would likely have changed well over a year ago. As a 'courtesy', Jagex gave a time, (which was later extended), for members to get membership back to avoid paying the higher price. Now this achieves many things. The first is that it generates gratitude toward Jagex for not making the existing members, also including those who renewed during the grace period, pay more. Under all this though, there is a drawback for those that do not play year round. There are a number of members who do not subscribe year round because they don't play during the school year, or during major holidays (especially during the summer months). Now these members must pay year round or suffer a higher price. For some people it is cheaper to pay year round even if they may not play year round. The other objective Jagex achieve through this was a major recruitment of new members through the grace period before the new prices went into effect. Basically, any non-members had to make a rushed decision on whether they wanted a membership now to get the low price, or risk staying free and becoming a member later at the higher price. During the grace time, the deadline was 'extended'. Jagex in turn, intentionally or unintentionally, created a fake deadline which forced people to be rushed even more and likely to start subscribing without thinking things through. Later the deadline was extended as a second chance, ultimately making those who didnt originally get a membership during the first grace period think about it for a second time and so even more players subscribed. Jagex has also started to work on fixing the player versus player placeholders that have been in place ever since the days of unrestricted trade ended. Clan wars now has options that rival the duel arena. Jagex hopes to satisfy the clans until the old worlds where pvp existed everywhere are brought back. The clans can then once again roam the world and wage wars much like they did in the wild, except that the battles will consume the entire world just as they did in classic. It is likely that major cites and some space around them will become the safe zones, and possibly banks in minor cites. Jagex is a clever company and the fact that Runescape has existed for so long and became such a success is a testament to that. For every person that disagrees with something Jagex does, you can expect 20 other to agree. To bad I here you cry, well not for long! As I have some amazingly fantastic writing about the RuneScape High Detail release over the summer, with views from other RuneScape players too! So, silence from the audience please... On 1st July 2008, the RuneScape High Detail (HD) members only live Beta was launched. This was a great hit for members who could use it, and 99% that could, did. And for Jagex... This was a great success. Members flocked in there thousands to try out the new High Definition version, and it was the talk of all RuneScape fan sites. Jagex had been working on this for 14 months before its release, gathering ad many graphic artists as they could, some even just dragged out of university! Ive found comments such as OMG, I love this update and It's amazing, though. But, I also found comments like these: Nothing great... and on top of that, many comments about the lag and frozen screens people were getting. Despite the negatives, everything seemed to go to plan, and was overall, a great success on the launch. Later came the launch of the RuneScape HD Full version, where all players could play, members, and non members, and just from that sentence you can imagine how many more happy faces there were... maybe 3x as more? :) What amazes me though, since I cant play RuneScape HD myself, is how they did such a great job making those kind of graphics with Java. And since the trading rule update that was added in January, this update and the introduction of Summoning, has defiantly boosted everyones in-game spirit, and still does now. The main site look was also changed, in terms of graphical design, and has some very nifty new features, especially at the top where they have the drop down tabs, also theyve done a great job with the boarders, and icons of the news articles, and how theyre positioned. Like I said, overall, this was a great update for many players, and is still amazing now, as it was then, so, on behalf of everyone that likes this update, ie. Most of the people that play it, if not all... Passwords are like the god of gaming. Unfortunately, Runescape doesnt have them, so dont believe anyone who says otherwise. But then again, whos to say you should believe me about not believing them? We are in quite a pickle, here, arent we? Expect the next update to be Jagex introducing characters having to act like actual people, causing them to have to use restrooms, eat, and sleep on a regular basis. That would suck, so the next update will leave you a happy whatever you are. Dont expect every little thing to be a hint towards some big future update. More often than not, it was implemented for [cabbage]s and giggles (can somebody please change what that censor is saying when this edition is released?). Dont ask for guns in Runescape. The most you can ask for is some crappy flintlock gun that would only be useful if it summoned tornadoes to destroy everything in its path. Expect a weapon that could kill Jad in one hit within the next 3 years, at most. Section 2: You know youre a noob if You are too stubborn to believe that you are wrong. Twice, Ive been in huge fights with people like this on a Zelda forum that I visit. The second one was the worst, because the person believed that, since she was an atheist, she was automatically better than everyone else who believed in a higher power. She refused to believe that she was faulted in any way, showing her many faults in the process. If I could stab people over the internet, she would probably have 50 accidental holes riddling her body. You spend your time on Runescape talking in some completely impossible to understand manner and say that someone who is showing clear signs of intelligence is a complete moron. You think that it is a good idea to convince those annoying cousins of yours to play Runescape and join Runescape-related forums. All this will do in cause you to want to stick a bullet in your cranium. Your first thought going back to school was Im going to have so much fun today! His bare feet trembled their way back to his house, the only part of him exposed to the cold; hed over looked them in his desperation for them to shut up. There had been a major drunken row between the owner of the house and half of the attenders, and it had ended up her yelling Get out of my house! and them yelling abuse back before regrouping un-conveniently outside his house, and planning how to get back in, because they were determined not to be leaving. Getting louder and more ridiculous, one girl went to talk to the house owner. That was when the people had started getting so loud hed feared theyd wake the rest of his family up, so he set out to stop them. The door-knob twisted easily as he stepped back into the warmth of his home. Shutting the door quietly he flicked the latch back on so that it was effectively locked, then hurredly climbed up the stairs back to his room. Theyd been true to their word, and stopped being so loud. In fact, he could hardly hear them at all. But he still couldnt sleep. He tossed for a couple of minutes, then gave up. Pulling off his jeans and hoody, he was back in basic morning or late nightly clothing; he hadnt bothered earlier. He crept downstairs and switched the kettle on. Leaving it to boil, he moved through the hallway to the small lobby-type room with a computer in. He pressed the button and it flickered to life slowly and he clicked his account. In fact most days you could find him on it chatting away on chat rooms and forums. Sipping the now-ready hot chocolate, he shrivelled his nose; it was incredibly weak. He walked back over to the pot with it in, and pouted as he realised there was less than a tea-spoon of the powder left. He put it in anyway, then stirred it, and sighed. By the time Myles had got back to the computer, his profile was fully loaded. The old version of a messenger program he used had popped up, automatically the boxes of his email and password were filled, along with its why not update message. On my laptop, I run at HD with evverything maxed out (anti-aliasing 4x included). On my PC which I think has a GPU rated just under the minimum, I run it full out too. It takes it a couple secs to load an area, but turning down the graphics while remaining HD makes little difference. Its worth noteing I occasionaly dual screen using resize. My laptop is 1280x800 and my PC monitor is native to a 1280x960 (I think, maybe its 1200x900). Anyways it works nicely since I have plenty of height to work with on the 4:3 monitor versus my laptop widescreen meaning I can line them up to account for placing one monitor behond the other (to get screens closer). Since my graphics card was made for high deatail rendering specificly it is very good. I have noticed though that when I use such a large screen I must turn of antialiasing or suffer a frame rate of about 10 persecond (quite visible). There is also angular distortion from veiwing such an angle because I am seeing at least a 140 degree arc from a single point.
