How safe it is to use keyboard to "click" instead of mouse?
You can't send them questions any more because they were getting asked questions answered by the KB or stupid questions on par with phoneing 911 because they cut their fingernails to short :wall: . All that while they ignored the 6 perfectly sensible questions I sent over a 5 year span (havent been able to send for the last year). I got a response once, you ARE allowed to post RS videos on youtube unless its promoting rule breaking which would be removed at Jagex's request. You can probably mail them, like real mail not e-mail. You could also try and visit in person, but I doubt that would work.

Chinchompa questions.
Last I cheacked, which was unfortunatly months ago, greys had gained value on reds after the implimentation of the GE to the point where it was about as profitable for me to catch greys as it was to catch reds. I might have made a little less but with near 100% success of greys I was more entertained and not fighting for space. Anyway if greys are still up, then they might not be more cost effective (or not by all that much). Definatly slower though.

Question on Ice Gloves
The 50 mining should only be a current level reqirement. I can only think of a few times when you need the base level for just an act reqiring skill. When npcs have reqirements though (to start quests), often you must have the base level.

Remember When...
I rember when wearing god armours meant you were pretty freaking rich. By the time I got around to buying a set, they were not much more than they are now, but their relative worth was higher. That was 2 years ago when I was f2p.

The G/E babies people
First off, saying 'if you have nothing good to say (meaning support) then don't post post' is like putting up a big neon sign saying "hey look at me. I have an opinion but I don't wan't anyone chalenging it because they might win". Not that it really matters for this topic, but I should hope if you post in the rants forum that you won't include that in our post. Aywhoo, yes it does make everything alot easier. Ok, maybe it does make people lazy, and there are perhaps a few things I might have produced myself that I don't bother with anymore. But, for me it also made clues doable since everytime a uri clue comes up you can garuntee if I haven't had the clue before, I probably don't have the items(s) he needs. He asks for a dimond ring and I have a Ring of Life. He wan't blue vambraces? I have those...[bleep]ed. He wants and iron platebody...why the hell would I have an iron platebody in my bank? It's just, every week something comes up and I need an item to do some (normally small and short) important task and I don't wan't to cross Gielinor on some epic quest second only to one small favor (the key ring was barely worth it, but I need that bank space now so i'm good). But where it really gets me, is when I skill or collect loot, I just dump in the GE (I like the ankous) which is good because if I take all my armour off, I need to withdraw a few items to get it all in. But if I were catching chinchompas, maybe I would take a 10 minute break, go dump in the GE and be back catching chinchompas instead of wandering the RSOF and world hopeing trying to find someone to buy my stuff. Also with chinchompas, if I get tired at 1978, I can sell them all, I dont need to go back again to catch 22 more so I can meet the 200 minamum quantity buy limit. So ya it makes people lazy, but our real life society is the exact same thing, making everything easier and more conveniant. So maybe your charecter wander the world is fine, but when you want chicken for supper do you wan't to have to go out back, kill one, de-feather it, and then cook it. You would have to start making supper by lunch time.

Circus Info
ddly enough the RSOF supports this. I found a 'guide' ammounting to basicly the same thing but didn't know if I could bring myself to trust anything comeing out of the RSOF. I think I might give this a go.

G.E. manipulation by Jagex?
I don't suppose that anyone has considered that for maybe one whole day, people were actualy happy with most all prices and so they didn't change. Anyways sicne were there not changes to the way some things were priced that day (granite and new sheilds), that maybe a market freeze was needed to allow somethings to catch up.

Leaf-Bladed Swords with a use at Corporal Beast?
Correct me if I am wrong, but I would think that the speed bonus of the leaf spear to the zammakorian should make up the strenth bonus. Everyone spends so much time trying to max there maximum damage they forget that being able to hit faster and on more hits is often better. In the SFCIII game, there are 2 versions af all primary and one secondary weapon. These are fast and slow versions. They have the same accuracy as their counterparts. The fast versions have 70% of the max damage as slow versions, but fire 50% faster. If you do 2 slow rounds and everything hits perfect, you get 200 dmg (using easy numbers, not game values for damage) with a slow and 210 with fast. If you average out the damage dealt vs time, you will find that consistant med-high hits will ultimatly be better that sporadic high hits. If you miss with a fast weapon it is not nearly as big a deal as getting a bad hit with a slow weapon because you recover faster. I recal 2 handed spears being resonably med speed so I figure the leaf is probably around 50% faster. It might be a little bit worse in the long run, but for that cost it really makes you wonder if the zam spear is worth it.

Is there pride in pixels?
Pride is an emotion. Anyone can be proud of anything they wan't. Someone can be proud that their a serial killer, that there a nice person, or that they can be proud of how they sit on the couch and eat popcorn when there not working. Heck, you can be proud of pissing your pants in public too. Compared to all that, its pretty easy to be proud of a RS charecter. Not the 'pixels' per say, but what they represent, hours of dedication (can hardly be called work) is definatly something to be proud of in anything. I am not proud of the 'pixels' on my screen since lets be honest, the RS server gave my comp a bunch of wireframes and a shading algorithem so my laptop is doing all the work and dedication there. Now that being said, I most certainly am proud of what my pixels are representing and thats good because they represtent a couple hundred hours of my life so not being proud would be a pretty big jip.

What makes a good friend?
You are quite right but at the same time you are so terribly wrong too. Ok, yes, you do not truly know someone (or more to the point, you don't 'know' if you know someone) until you have met them. Not a picture, not a phone call, not even a 5 minute real life meeting and certainly not text. But I know that the text interactions I have with some people are of a higher quality than some of those I have with people I know in real life. I have recieved and given more than one act of kindness and all that stuff. The point of this post \/ My point is this. Say my 'friend' is a petophile trying to hunt me down. Say he is also my best RS friend and we have both acted in a way that constitutes friendship. A friendship does exist, albiet a one sided one built on lies, but a friendship none the less.

What makes a good friend?
From the 3 best friends in RS, I know I can ask any a question (well not any but you get the idea), and expect an honest answer even if it may be 'I don't know". One in particular was indespensible when I strated members since he was able to explain how things work, and gave me a decent ammount of items that I needed for quests and was having trouble aqiring them. There is another one who I rarely see, but we have a ritual greeting now and we probably have the best conversations. Then theres the one in the middel. Not so good for items but a good conversationalist and gives good advice. I have older friends too, and we chat sometimes.

I need help to sleep.
Melatonin. It's the hormone that tells your body to go to sleep. You don't need a prescription to buy it. If you use it, DO NOT expose your eyes to light if you can help it. Any light makes it less effective.

Google releases Google Chrome
On this PC, you can easily notice that Firefox runs double the speed of IE. Well I got chrome, and that works about 3x-4x faster than Firefox, and with spell check (thats automatic), Chrome rocks my socks.

Google releases Google Chrome
That may be true under xp, but for a Vista user, Explore kicks Mozilla 6 ways from sunday. And since chrome is google, I would expect it to kick any other browser into sometime next week.

High alching steel body confused?
I don't know off the top of my head, but I bet that by looking up the high alch price on tip.it and looking up the price of steel bars on the grand exchange (and maybe coal and iron too), and doing some addition you could find out

Is Ice Barrage Overused in PvP?
Latino has it. Melee'ers rarely have the ability to mount magic defense even without metal armour. 20 seconds freezing means the mage in question can sing a song and do a dance and still have time left over to kill an opponent.

Clearing up the latest website problems.
Either someone wen't and bought some hefty servers to handel the sheer size of tip.it, or your hoster is just really good. Its kinda funny that someone is launching a large scale attack and failing so misribly. I hope it costs whoever hired the DDOS more than it costs you guys. I do wonder, if the police were informed of a DDOS in progress (assuming there are high node count bots involved) if they migth investigate for free anyways since I belive some of the large ones have been taken down by police in several countries.

Dimensions
It should be immpossible for us to concive the workings of any higher physical dimmesnsion then the 3rd (except mathmaticly on paper) simply because our brain works using only 3. Its just like trying to immagine what an infrared or ultraviolet colour would look like, or any other part of the EM range other than that we can see. The brain can't just make up a new colour that has never been precived before. For all our creativity, there are definatly limmits. One example of something that you have never experianced but can immage is 360 degree vision. Its pretty chalenging when awake and I doubt many people can concentrate hard enough for long enough to do it, but while lucid dreaming it is possible to do. The reason this works where new colours and physical dimensions work I immagne would be because 360 vision is merly an expansion of vision, so we have some point to work from.

Brimhaven Agility Arena
For a perfect 1 hour session you get 59 tickets giving you a base of 15160 xp for that hour by trading in 2 groups of 25 tickets (for 6,500xp ea) and 9 groups of 1 ticket (for 240 xp ea). Now if you go 1 more minute and get the 60th ticket you get 15480xp for a perfect hour and 1 minute. Now, thats not all the xp you will get, but it is the only xp that can be precalculated. Now to make my life easy I am going to assume that a) you have an equal chance of having to cross any obsticle (and that you can cross any obsticle), and B) that the average obsicle xp is 18, being the average of 6 and 30 (the highest and lowest xp rewards for obsticles), and c) that you will cross an average of 4 obsicles to get to each pillar. This gives you 4392xp for your hour +1 minute. The conclusion of my post is that if you do the course perfectly, you will get 20k xp +/- 1k xp every hour. Of course if you save the tickets you do get more, in fact just over 2 hours could net 34,500 xp in tickets + up to 10k xp in obsticle crossing. Is it fast, yes but only for a select few levels (maybe). But it is not as boring as other methods so you might not feel like your brain is dying while training this way. This is a fun alternative, not hardcore training.

gotta love 1 year+ teasers!
Sometimes I wish Jagex would take their teasers and shove them up their [wagon] where they rightfully belong. I can live with one month teasers, and I can deal with the ones that are only released to clarify that the people running Jagex are infact not morons, and are actualy in the positions they are in because they are mostly competant people (there will always be exceptions of course). Having your players figure stuff out for you is both brilliant and the sort of bull [cabbage] only very lazy people would pull. They should be proud and ashamed of themselves for being brilliant [wagon] holes :?

Banning for unabuseable bugs.
If the bug were unabuseable then there would be no way to do anything with it. A summons in the GE is definatly the manipulation of something that was not ment to be manipulated in that way, thus no matter how incosiquential the bug may be, you are abusing it none the less. An unabuseable bug would be one that is applying to everyone, such as all people bringing summons into the GE. You abused a bug, albiet to no consiquense, therfore you should be repoted no matter how petty it may seem.

Is rs in a recession =0
I think that so many people have lost money since the fall of pking and with them many skillers, that prices might be catching up with the funds people have. Sure, in some ways making money is easier because the hastle of selling warers is gone, but the money made is definatly less. Maybe in time it will balence out. And I must point out that while many markets are falling, many more are rising up to their former glory that was exorberant prices common to the heyday of pk'ing as well.

Tip.It Times Presents: The Gold Crunch
This may simply be a return of prices for the whole pking market. When Pk'ing was abolished and the GE implamented, herblore probably took the biggest hit of all. Fishing/cooking also suffered seriously with dramatic price drops making the skills poor money (fish/cook) or in the case of herblore, not profitable at all, at least not without long and slow leveling techniqes that would allow you to reach level 99 shortly before the sun becomes a piece of coal the size of a human fist. The monster hunters have had their glory, and the rewards of those elusive drops are still nothing to be ashamed of, but now regular people can ammas some small wealth of their own without merchanting or prior funds from before the GE. Now that herblore may become profitable again, the monster hunters can always resort to making their own supplies the same way the large non-rich portion of members has been doing for years. I have had to fund all my activities thus far. Now I can make the money I need without exorberant ammounts of my time on the line.

Advanced (?) Mathematic problem
y = (x+300*2^(x/7))/4 4y = (x+300*2^(x/7)) 4y-x = 300*2^(x/7) (4y-x)/300 = 2^(x/7) log2 of [(4y-x)/300] = x/7 x = 7{log2 of [(4y-x)/300]} *the {} must be there. Do not simplify the 7 into the log. And no garuntee I did that right. I think it works but its been a summer and a bit since I did logarithims. EDIT: There are javascript or html funtions that can retrive that sort of data, but the best you could do would be a script that takes that data and gives an output in the same way as the tip.it calcs. Excel cannot activly look up info from the internet.

911 calls
Remind of one from some airline where they relesed some pilot reports with groundcrew responses. Pilot: Left fromt tire almost needs replacing. Mechanic: Almost replaced left front tire. Pilot: Inflight movie volume set unbeliveably loud. Mechanic: Volume set to more beliveable level. Pilot: Engine #3 missing. Mechanic: Number 3 engine found under left wing after breif search. for those who don't know missing means missfireing. Then there are some ones about flight attendant announcements. One of them them was just after a hard landing the pilot is sheepisdhly waiting for someone to comment on the landing. The last person off the plane is a little old lady who says: "sunny, did we land or were we shot down?".
