  1. Heck, unless you check the source of these messages, you can't tell the names (as displayed here) apart either! ~Mr. Devnull
  2. RuneScape did not cause the death of your old computer. Anyone thinking this IS an idiot. You can be reasonably sure the old one died due to some kind of hardware failure or software failure caused purely by age. ~Mr. Devnull
  3. well nobody said devious mud has great game play, because nobody has played it #-o halo sucks by the way :| <*slaps malo2, rather hard*> :x Dude, we are all playing the 3rd incarnation of "Devious MUD". It is called "RuneScape", but it is still based off that, and in essence is that! :| Please, before you say stuff like that, think! =; ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  4. Chat Name: DeltaPrime 8-) (The "P" is not uppercase due to RuneScape's design.) RSN to Enter: D_V_Devnull (Channel Owner) 8-) Primary Use: None, to be honest. :anxious: Additional Comments: Channel will be open, monitored or not, 24/7/365, except under extreme and special circumstances. Just come in, talk, and keep it clean. Since I am a nice guy, 'Rule 1' abuse will probably go ignored, seeing as I like to allow people to vent, long as bad language isn't directed at people. I won't always come to my own room, either. But I admit, I do get lonely, even with a minimal count of friends online or none at all. :P (Chat name would also have been a clan name, but clan died due to parents. Don't ever ask me about it. Will result in insta-kick.) Come on in and enjoy! ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  5. I was in the middle of reporting it when you nailed it. Thank you for handling that, QueenValerie. <*hugs her*> ~Mr. Devnull Nice work DV!! *hi-5's* What would we do without you  : LOL  @ Jemathonical ... Have you noticed my siggy lately? I was just telling QueenValerie that I happened to be thankful she got that. You didn't need to go around insulting me. :( ~Mr. Devnull [/hide] I'm just saying it is great that you are helping the mods. And that wasn't an insult, by the way. Take a compliment and stop being so defensive all the time. Ah, alright, thanks. :) ... You're right, I am a bit 'defensive'/'overly paranoid', definitely beyond the limit of what is healthy. I'll have to work on that. :-k ~Mr. Devnull
  6. For WinXP, try: Start > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices Once there, look under: Volume > Speaker Settings > Speaker Volume Make sure both of those sliders in there are equal. If not, run both down to zero, then click the checkbox at the bottom and run them up to where you want them. (BTW, never touch the balance slider for the Master Volume in your Volume Control Program ever again after this, or this problem will return!) Now if none of this works, you're going to need to give anyone reading the thread a lot more info on the system you're on. Good luck, let me know if this works. Also, if you're not on WinXP, you'll need to mention that too. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull

  8. Plenty well in the "Off-topic category" at this point... <*Loses his mind and rattles unkn0wnwarrior's neck due to frustration at the mime...*> I wish I had your luck with that [bleep]-ing mime!!! :x ~Mr. Devnull Hehe, Stronghold of Security is a great place for them :) Stronghold+cutting a gem yup. Guys, I got one problem on that kind of thing. Due to all the random event clothes currently in my stuff, I can't even buy good melee battle armor or carry enough food to go down there for long enough to cause the mime event. (Looks like I'm [bleep]ed... :( ...) ~Mr. Devnull

  10. Semi-off-topic: I was in the middle of reporting it when you nailed it. Thank you for handling that, QueenValerie. <*hugs her*> ~Mr. Devnull
  11. i think that would work out well, as i have 12 bank spaces occupied by random event clothes. :? I'm sitting on 16 spaces myself (Including equip slots!) that I would like to have back and will occur by one of three ways at this point... 1.) Mime shows up twice more and completes my emotes. (I'll have no choice but to dump my random clothes if that happens. I really need the space back badly.) 2.) F2P gets the ability to save random event clothes elsewhere. (Immediate put-away of clothes at that location if that happens. I'll be able to switch back into 'combat-capable mode' near immediately.) 3.) F2P gets the bank space. (This would afford me far better future options for both skilling and combat, as well as ability to select about one or two sets full of random clothes to keep but no more than that. I wouldn't mind dumping zombie :-X either, seeing as I have near all of the random event clothing. It looks awful as it stands.) Well, I guess I will see what happens then. Honestly, I hope situations #2 and #3 both happen at the same shot. It would nullify (yes, personal name joke) my worries for years to come. ~Mr. Devnull
  12. Uh, no, I still have to tap "Alt + Print Screen" to get just the window. And "Print Screen" alone has always been a global for the whole screen. BTW, I've used 3.1, 95, 98SE, ME, 2000, and XP, and I know what I am talking about. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  13. Off-Topic: Has anyone realized this whole thread has "Metroid Prime 2: Echoes" written all over it??? :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  14. He's just having fun! Every so often you have to abuse your powers in a game such as Runescape :D You sure he didn't just make an honest mistake??? :-s BTW, I wish JMods would show up in F2P a lot. Would help to get rid of a lot of autoers, especially at Rimmington Yews. : ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  15. F2P: 2 rune rocks in wildy P2P: 3 rune rocks in wildy (2 normal + 1 in the end of maze), 2 at hero guild, 1 at dark beasts and 1 at the neitiznot island. = 7 rune rocks in p2p That proves it. Mining Guild needs an upgrade, BIG TIME!!! :-k +3 in the 3rd floor with as heavy a requirement as Nje03 is asking? No question, it would still be balanced, and would only help P2P for full certain in the process. Totals would become F2P @ 5 and P2P @ 10, and F2P would have a non-wildi option finally, like there should have been in the first place! ~Mr. Devnull
  16. WoW indeed... It has a few interesting skills that could be added: Tailoring - I mean seriously, rangers have crafting to make armour, meleers have smithing while mages are left with none. Riding - Not a trained skill perse, though it does involve non-riding requirements such as a set amount of money and a combat level. Machinery - How big are they going to make the already-huge crafting skill? I know a lot of engineer-oriented items are being put in there too like the toys. I could agree with all of that. Medieval Bicycles, anyone? :P ~Mr. Devnull
  17. Thanks for the constructive criticism. You are not alone in saying less rune ore. :-k I still think a few would be great. Quick Note: P2P Heroes Guild has like 2 to 4 Runite Ore spots, versus the limited 2 in wildi. So, I think the mining guild having a super-high level requirement for the 3rd floor (90+ or 95+) warrants 3 spots of Runite Ore. ~Mr. Devnull
  18. Glad to have you on-board. :) BTW, are you sure that 48 bank spaces was not a pre-RS2 number? :-s ~Mr. Devnull
  19. And here comes the dents in your statements... (BTW, I have had to correct a lot of your post's formatting. Ended up seeing all the bad line breaks while trying to quote you. None of your actual message was changed!) Shade robes only have a prayer stat on F2P, and that is ALL that they have. Are you sure you're not talking about "Ghostly Robes", which are P2P only? :-s (I have this serious feeling your armor memory is a mess.) Wrong, casting speed is slower than a scimitar and a rapid-fire shortbow. I have seen this bad luck too many times while trying to fight in wildi with mage power, and have ended up running on the norm. Are you sure you're not experiencing lag? :-s Somehow, range is hitting harder than that, in my experience. Again, as a mage, I end up running instead of being able to fight. Quick something to point out there... as it stands, this makes melee the strongest and fastest. And yet again, I end up running as a mage. Wrong. Only +7 to all defense. And only +1 to prayer. Don't ever forget it. We'll see what happens, won't we? :-s I wouldn't be too sure of this. Especially with things I have pointed out above. And BTW, I get too many "0"s against melee, when they should be easy hits for me. :( I think at this point that you're just lucky. [bleep], I wish I had your kind of luck! I use a power ammy, no matter what mode I'm in. Saves me all the trouble of "Ammy Swapping". Also, I'm usually using 2 sets of battle armor while in wildi, so I can function properly according to my mode. Darned food strain for me, that and the mage armor causes melee troubles. -.- Enjoy yourself. Thread's been hell-bent. ~Mr. D. V. Devnull
  20. What about current mining guild congestion? Did that inspire it too? :-s <*is curious*> ~Mr. Devnull When I make a suggestion, 90% of the time it is regarding the skill I am working on at that time. When I wrote this up I happened to be going for 85 mining. I had tried to mine coal with not much success due to that very point - congestion. In the end I powermined iron and mined adamant ore in Al Kharid. I never did like the wilderness and I know there are others like me that feel the same way so I figured I would create something OUTSIDE of the wilderness where players could effectively mine higher level ores. (Given that they have a good mining level) Once I hit 85 mining I felt no desire to raise it any higher because there is no ore reward for doing so. Hence the lv90 requirement for the highest level. Point understood! Yikes, I feel like you just hit me with a Runite Warhammer just for asking a good question! :ohnoes: ~Mr. Devnull
  21. And hurt large numbers of innocent people in the process to handle a small group of rule breakers? ... Are you mentally underdeveloped?!?!? :x (Pardon me, but you really make me angry with your insensitivity.) ~Mr. D. V. Devnull How do you mean "hurt large numbers of innocent people..."? Okay, think about it this way with these steps... 1.) Jagex picks up on Rule-Breaker violating Rule 7. 2.) Jagex bans both the userid of the person that broke the rule and the IP (or IP range) associated with the Rule-Breaker. Unluckily, this happens to be the IP (or IP range) of a cybercafe or library or just a whole ISP micro-net. 3.) ISP/Library/Cybercafe goes into serious legal uproar for something they have been wrongfully hit for (and already by law and/or TOS can't be responsible for), as its' far larger number of innocent users now no longer have access to RuneScape. OldJoe, this is what I was referring to when I said "hurt large numbers of innocent people" ... This is why I am against IP blacklisting ... So, is my point made? :? ~Mr. Devnull [/hide] They can't sue JAGeX. The accounts and the items on them belong to JAGeX and JAGeX alone. We are only "renting" the accounts basically. I've never heard that you are allowed to sue to get back other people's items to you.. :-k By the way, this is all in the licence agreement that you agreed to when you created an account. killerred005, this is NOT what I was talking about. The reason that Jagex would take a legal hit is NOT over in-game issues. It is over the missing internet connectivity caused by the IP bans, and how it affects those who did not commit the crime in the first place. Like I said before in a rather expanded form, "Don't hurt the innocent to nail the guilty." ... Point made? ~Mr. Devnull
  22. With more and more people maxing out, it's apparent that new skills are needed. ;) As for when that will be, who knows. Sepculation on a new skill comes up every couple of weeks, it'll be done when it's done. ;) That or Jagex could do something I heard a rumor about some time back, and blow the lid off the level 99 limits on all skills. Maybe even change the hp meter system. :-k This is going to be one heck of a nice discussion. <*Stays tuned.*> ~Mr. Devnull
