Adult swim sucks
I don't live in America either but it annoys me that you can't watch the shows on their site anymore. Actually I was just watching Metalocalypse (not anymore, cause there's no other place I can see it.) Been waiting for a [cabbage] load of time for the new episodes too. Oh well.

Backstage Passes
Not a backstage pass, but we managed to meet Nightwish randomly (not all of them, just Tuomas, Marco and Jukka) outside the venue after the show was over. Actually, it was Ewo (their manager) who spotted us and called us over. (This happened before the Tarja business). It was awesome, one of my friends got a hug and we chatted a bit.Whenever I think back upon that night, I get an euphoric smile on my face, even though many things have happened since then and I wouldn't be as happy to meet them again, still, that was a great moment.

Two Questions can u anwser?
I have an overwhelming urge to poke fun, but I'll try to fight it. 1. Who inspires You? It's more events and situations and such that inspire me, rather than people. How people behave in certain situations. 'Moments'. Because no-one is perfect enough to be awesome all the time, but everyone can have their moments of awesomeness at one point or another and I like to watch out for them. Music inspires me a lot. And beautiful things like nature, flowers, animals. Sounds corny but that's it. 2 Do u have a role model and if so who? No. There are people I admire at times, but I wouldn't consider them role models.

The song that got you into your favourite...
^Yeah, pretty weird. Also pretty weird that you've come to like their other songs. :P The song that got me into NW was The Riddler. Yeah I dunno how exactly...I was listening to Oceanborn and hating Tarja's voice at first. But then, I got a crush randomly on this song, I thought it was awesome (I still think so, btw). And the rest is history. :P Then...for Sonata Arctica, the song that made me really love them was The Power of One. For Thin Lizzy, it was Roisin Dubh (Black Rose) A Rock Legend. Nocturnal Rites: Shadowland Ensiferum: Guardians of Fate Windir: Arntor, ein Windir Moonsorrow: Jäästä syntynyt / Varjojen virta Turisas: The Messenger Within Temptation: Never-ending story Sentenced: Killing me, killing you Pantera: Cemetery Gates Blind Guardian: Nightfall Deep Purple: Soldier of Fortune That's all I can think of atm, but I think it's enough ;p

That kid that went to your school.
Raluca, girl, primary school - she dressed like a guy, walked like a guy, played football, cut her hair short and did everything in her power to resemble a guy. I don't know if she was a lesbian or not. Her best friend was a girl who looked and acted very 'feminine', she was her complete opposite. One time, our class went camping and there we met a bunch of other kids from other towns. Everybody who didn't already know Raluca thought she was a guy and some of the girls got crushes on her. It was funny as hell for the rest of us. Andrei, boy, primary school. He wanted to work for SRI (our secret services) when he grew up. He was fascinated with everything German and he frequently swore in that language. He wasn't a bad dude or anything, though. He was pretty smart. One time, though, he brought some tranquilzing spray (?) to school and sprayed it around for fun during a class. Some of those who sat close to him started to have trouble breathing and the teacher noticed something was wrong. Because of this he got his mark at 'behaviour' (we have a mark for 'behaviour' which is usually 10) lowered to 8, and for him that meant he could no longer enlist for SRI or police or anything like that. So this bit of fun ruined his dream and I thought it was a bit unfair; after all, no serious harm had been done. Last I heard of him, he's doing something with computers. Ines, girl, highschool. Her ambition was to become an actress but everyone pretty much agreed she was the most inexpressive person ever. When she talked, her voice was always even, her gestures seemed forced, stuff like that. One time, I forgot what she had been referring to but she made a remark like 'Ewww, this thing smells like detergent.' Which was funny because most of the time she smelled of sweat, so afterwards we were like 'uh, yeah that explains it.' Oh yeah, and about her name...my mother who is a teacher of English always pronounced her name while putting the accent on the last syllable: In-/es/ (you can imagine....). I never noticed that but my friends told me later that everytime mom said her name, they were trying not to laugh. When I asked mom about this, she said she hadn't noticed it either, that if she had known, she wouldn't have done it... Anyway so Ines is indeed studying theatre at the moment. Mihaela, girl, highschool. She seemed pretty nice at first, and quite smart. But no less than a year had passed, that she changed all of a sudden, she started to miss classes a lot, got bad marks, started to talk very dirty, and even stopped washing apparently. Naturally most of us took distance from her. Only after graduation, while I was talking to mom, I happened to mention her in less than favourable terms and mom told me the explanation for her behaviour. Apparently Mihaela's mother had told my mom, to explain her bad marks and lack of interest in school, that at one point during the 9th grade, she had been gang-raped on her way home from a party. I was pretty upset that mom didn't tell me that sooner, cause then I would have most likely tried to be nicer to her. Last summer I saw she was a saleswoman in a clothes shop (she didn't go to any college after highschool). Cosmin, boy, both primary school and highschool. For some reason in highschool I was in an almost all-girl class, and only three or four boys. This guy was acting as if he was in his own private harem, making moves on every single girl, regardless of how (un)attractive she was, and making all sorts of snide/sexist remarks. Sometimes he was funny, though. One of the things I remember him saying was 'I've seen all the porn in the world, except sheep porn. I'd like to see some of that now.' I think he had a crush on my deskmate because he seemed to pick on her most than on the others. At one point he told her something like 'I see myself, years from now, calling one of those hotlines, and thinking whoa, this voice sounds familiar...Dora, is that you?!' (Dora was my deskmate's name). We all laughed of course. In primary school he shared a desk with the guy I had a crush on back then, so there was a lot of teasing going on between the four of us. His favourite subject was history, but he hated the idea of being a teacher. He went on to study history at uni, and it's most likely he will become a history teacher, however. :P Andrei, boy, highschool. (no relation to the Andrei mentioned above, it's quite a common name). He was a rich kid, quite good looking, always dressed nice and was quite polite and fun. He had a very 'relaxed' attitude towards school, however: well to tell it plainly, he didn't give a floop about school and missed classes a whole lot. He used to send one of the smaller kids to bring his backpack to school at the beginning of classes, and at the end of the classes, he either came for it himself or some other kid brought it back to him. So the backpack basically sat there in his seat in his place and most of the teachers used to make fun of that. He had a girlfriend who was older than him and very smart, and she was the only person who seemed to have a bit of influence on him. But still, she couldn't make him come to school. : p I have no idea how he managed to finish highschool but he did, somehow. As I said before, he was rich, and his mother had quite a bit of influence. : P He's at a private university now, something with law. Well that was a nice trip down memory lane.

A kiss?
Yeah, older / middle aged people tend to do that, if they're close friends: kiss each other on the lips as a greeting. I've seen it happen. However, I think that's pretty odd. I don't even like having to kiss someone on the cheek every time I meet them. If they're doing it, however, I have to do it as well. As for guys/girls who are not involved kissing each other on the cheek - I've rarely seen that happen, unless the girl is one of those super enthusiastic weirdos who has to kiss everyone she meets and then guys usually comply, but look kinda embarassed in the process. :P I tend to hug people that I haven't seen in a while, both guys and girls. Oh yeah, I don't like people (again, usually older people, like, middle aged and over) who move in to kiss you on the cheek and then just kiss the air in an affected manner, or just press their cheek to yours instead of kissing. If they really must do it, at least they should do it properly. : P

MSN vs Google Talk VS other
Meh, the smilies on MSN are only surpassed in ugliness by the new smilies on this forum. I'm not liking it so much, but it sure beats Yahoo. My absolute favourite is Google Talk, though. Simple and nice is all I ask for. Too bad most people don't use it.

Guys and Long Hair
That's funny, I was just talking with my sister today about it and we both agreed that long hair is one of those things that really improves a guy. Just a personal opinion however. And I'd also have to disagree that it doesn't work so well on guys with blonde hair or if it's waist length. To illustrate, look at this guy right here http://www.germaniac.com/blog/images/atrocity.jpg

Music fans can say the funniest things!
Haha. I haven't figured out though, if the quote is stupid cause Korn are a pathetic excuse of heavy metal, or just cause liking Korn is stupid. Both work, though. :P

Metalocalypse discussion thread (I'm ROXO the clooownnnn...)
Sorry for the bump/double post but --- no one else really likes this show? Come on, people. That's just Sad :| Either you don't like this kind of music and stuff, so you can't appreciate what a hilarious parody this is, or you like this music and take yourself/the bands you like too seriously. So which one is it? :P Btw, @ ratchet573: now that I read the thread (sorry, I have a tendency to skip through threads :P) by your quotes I see you're confusing Pickles with Skwisgaar. Anyway, does anyone know when they're gonna start with the new episodes?

Metalocalypse discussion thread (I'm ROXO the clooownnnn...)
I've seen a few episodes, hilarious stuff. And the music is actually pretty good for a fake band. Really, it's good stuff. And the lyrics are funny as hell. :D I know I laughed with tears at this one (appropriately called 'The Lost Vikings') "Riding, and riding, we search across the land The snow, and wind, has frozen the hearts of man But we ride We ride Many days ago we left our home With swords to ride into the night Fighting side by side to destroy our foes And leave them without life We stop, consider the land that we travelled Our map's at home, direction unravelled But we ride We ride Many days ago we left our homes, With swords to ride into the night Fighting side by side to destroy our foes And leave them without life So much time has passed since we left our land That we've become concerned And we'll never find the battle That we should have fought and won But we won't stop searching Lost but still we ride Search until we die We ride We ride Hungry and tired the frigid plain yeilds little We trudge on further, eating pride and snow that's brittle We ride We ride We come upon a witch who takes us in To let us share her mighty fire She asks of us our story and we lie and say We ride around for hire She asks us if we'd like to have her map And points us in some direction But we are far too proud and strong so we keep silent And ignore her suggestion Lost but still we ride Search until we die All the fault of pride The gods weep in the night"

What movie(s) did you last see?
Rent If you like musicals, you'll love this one. It's a rock musical, it's flashy, dramatic, neat costumes, clever coreography and nice music. It's a remake of the stage musical by the same name which in turn was inspired by Puccini's opera 'La Boheme'.

What are the worst song lyrics you've heard?
The worst I've heard would get censored almost entirely by this forum, so no fun posting it. Manowar has some pretty unintentionally funny lyrics, like this one for instance: The parody band Nanowar made a hilarious cover of this called 'Other bands play, Nanowar gay' :P

Not again.. In Europe this time. School massacre+Youtube vid
Well, I can actually see some sense to it, considering he purged himself from it. He was the "natural selector" afterall. Speaking of, I thought this article was kind of interesting: ed-online.com/index.php?/behmnr/article/4057/]http://www.[bleep]ed-online.com/index.php?/behmnr/article/4057/

They were probably too effective. Medicine that's taken for depression in its first phase has the effect of making the person more active (depressed people are more or less unwilling to engage in any sort of activity), without eliminating the 'crazy' thoughts yet. So you have someone that's still having these depressive thoughts, but suddenly ready to act on them. Most depressed people attempt suicide in this phase. This is why, after they start medication they should be kept on close watch so they wouldn't hurt themselves or others. If they get over this initial phase successfully and they continue with the medication, they have high chances of getting better.

You people who think that this guy is intelligent and that you agree with his views...for crying out loud, open your eyes, it's just nonsense propaganda, the kind that you hear from neo-nazis and crap. How pathetic. And in Finland of all places. I don't know but I always thought of Finland as a peaceful country, interested in arts and stuff, not a place where something like this could happen. Horrible.

Hahahaha, that is awesome! Pretty hilarious xD I think that is more like intentionally meant to me'dumb'/funny rather than unintentionally dumb/funny :P

What are the worst song lyrics you've heard?
I think the lyrics to 'Smells like teen spirit' are quite fun. With the lights out, it's less dangerous, here we are now, entertain us ;d (these were Kurt's lines whenever he came to a party, btw). Weird Al Yancowic made a hilarious parody of this song: Smells like Nirvana (LyricWiki) Dumb lyrics are mostly those that try to be over-philosophical and 'meaningful'. Yeah that Linkin Park song, hahaha. Fits well.
