Summoning
Thank you very much! I think I'm going crazy with GWD and get high summoning later, as I'd like a balance between slayer/bursting/fiends :P. Nice calculations, very helpful :) Calculations are pretty accurate, but I've found the charm rate a bit lower then what he says. Still, if you make more then 650k an hour (easily possible at GWD) its better to barrage - faster charms means less time training summon and more time making money at gwd\whatever. Is it fast? Yes. Is it expensive? Yes. I spent around 150m on 90 summon, although that may be a bit higher then normal because I was still learning the ropes.

[STABLE] The Tip.It Firefox Addon
Sounds interesting, I'll have to try it :

The wierdest thing just happened...
Never tried it, but "served your sentance" may mean that after 24 hours or something random events are considered "complete", i.e. the person was trapped there with no way to escape. As for stats, just commit suicide or duel, and everything will be back to normal.

bandos question!
Tank: Full guthans Melee: Godsword, V helm, K\d hide top, V skirt -> Full Veracs For both: Fire cape -> Skill cape -> God Cape, D boots, Dark (Barrrows) gloves, Fury -> Glory, Ring of Life -> Berserker. Summon: Unicorn -> Titan -> Bunyip -> Fruit Bat -> Void Spinner -> Nothing The best outfit period, unless I forgot something. Don't bother with whip or DFS; Veracs outhits them easily and Godsword will trump both of them. Full Guthans is a MUST for the tank, don't even think of anything else. If you don't have guthans, don't tank. If no one on your team has guthans, get a new tank.

Rune knives/Dragon darts at Aviansies?
Rune Knives > Dragon Darts. Rune knives, depending on your range level, have slightly lower profit but somewhat higher XP then addy bolts. Still, you can get on lucky streaks with knives - think 8 0's or 4 15's in a row. My personal favorite is a [censored], but I've never seen anyone else using one their. I'm always testing new ways, though.

Best God Sword For What I do.
+10% strength all the time from SGS? No way, even with maxed prayer bonus. SGS is way, way overrated. I suppose it had to do with high expectations, but when I first used it I thought I was experiencing a glitch of some sort.

Best God Sword For What I do.
Barrows armor destroys bandos in every way - if you want strength bonus, wear v skirt + proslyte top and pray +5-10% strength pray. Verac skirt\dh top already provides more prayer bonus, and FAR more slash defence then bandos, nowhere close to being worth +6 strength bonus.

I'm not so sure you can attribute what I said to "luck", I've methodically tested all of them : Like I said, AGS really isn't that good for much of anything - +6-7 extra damage isn't going to help a whole lot. Duals don't count - most people don't take duals seriously. I've won upwards of 99% of my duals, simply because I pot and use the best armor\tactics. SGS does not allow piety flash on every task, nor anywhere close. You use much more then 3 prayer points per minute with whip + piety, even with flashing. Besides that, its a horribly painful method, having to click 4 times every 3 seconds just for piety. Just go with +10% strength and click on a prayer potion every couple of minutes :wall: SGS is fairly useful for DKS, or so I've heard (haven't tried, unicorn works fine for me...), but if you get a unicorn for a slightly higher price you'll have 9x the healing of SGS. ZGS spec has decent accuracy boost, but you wouldn't notice that on guards.

Don't use godsword for PVP melee at pits - Veracs will easily beat it on higher defence\better armored players. It is the best wepon for CW, though. SGS heals on average 15 prayer points and 30 hitpoints per 5 minutes on low-mid defence monsters, so it won't help that much with piety (60 max hit / 2 = 30 average hit, = 7.5 prayer points - 20% deduction for missing X minimum 5 prayer restore = 7.5 average prayer heal, X 2 specs = 15 per 5 minutes, X 2 = 30 HP). It becomes much worse on higher level monsters where you miss half or more of the time. While this may help a bit with high level monsters, remember that the HP recovery will be 1/2 to 1/3 as much - only 2-3 HP a minute, or 1/4 to 1/3 boost to a bunyip. Marginally useful, but certainly not a huge benefit (Compare that to unicorn, which dosn't cost much more but requires time, which heals in the range of 22 hp a minute - nearly 3 times what bunyip does, and over 7 times as much as SGS on low defence monsters.

Thanks for your PM, Chuz, but I'm going to put this up here so that it may answer others questions as well. [begin controversial advice based on facts] Well, if you plan on slaying\PVP here is my advice. First of all, don't get bandos for slayer - use proslyte top\veracs skirt and pray +10% strength for significantly faster kills at a much reduced cost (with a large prayer bonus, your prayer points drain very slowly - I can do most tasks with 4 or less prayer pots), so the prayer potion cost\hassle is negligible. As for DFS, only use it for range\mage in PVP - for slayer, rune defender is far better. Your bunyip or unicorn will heal you more then you will need, and even so the DFS defence bonuses really don't help all that much. Trust me, I've owned one for several months, and while I love it for mage\range, tests I've done have proven that defender is superior for melee in all situations. Buy your BGS and spend the rest on summoning would be my (controversial) advice, leaving yourself with around 10m to play with. If you have decent cash flow, bursting lobsters is better then waterfiends for time spent overall (earning money + getting charms), and if you have a significant income (1m+), barraging is better still. 70M may not get you all the way to 88 bursting, but it will be fairly close, and you should be able to make the money back. Believe me, spending 150M on 88 summoning was the best investment I've ever made, and I haven't even gotten the pack yak yet! [end controversial but sound advice]

Laws - Sell or use?
Well, you could sell them for 3.2 million, then use 1/0th of those coins to get 73 magic, or else use all of them to get much higher. Alching is probably the best way; its been a while since I tried to train magic economically.

Fight Pits (PVP)
Yeah, but then the next round you get piled. Good for world hopping, but I'm not that patient. Ice spells are fun to mess around with, though - and if done right can guarantee a win without offending other players (damage them\heal you just enough so that you know you'll win, then melee them).

Best God Sword For What I do.
I have spent quite a bit of time (around 550k tokul at the moment) in fight pits, several dozen hours at the dual arena, and a few dozen games of castle wars with ALL of the godswords. I can gve you this summary for PVP. Zammy godsword: Decent for castle wars, but hard to catch the flagholder to spec him. I usually prefer to barrage. The spec is sort of useful in the fight pits for a quick KO if someone is at low health and you can't seem to hit - the accuracy boost from the spec is quite evident. Bandos godsword: Fairly useful for fight pits and dual arena, but not that good for castle wars. The special seems to have been updated to boost accuracy, and it hits reasonably often and mid-high on high level players. It can really change the outcome of a fight, and is the one I currently use most. Saradomin godsword: Not very useful for PVP, special is inaccurate and does not help much. It can be OK at the fight pits for healing off of low level players, but misses too much to be useful on high levels. Armadyl godsword: Fairly useful for fight pits, dual arena, and castle wars. Very overhyped, as people do not look at it critically - if you would normally hit a 40 and spec, you will hit 50 instead. People forget that you would hit nearly as high normally, and quote the 78s as an example, but in reality you would hit 62-63 anyway. As an average, eveen with hitting, a special will boost your hit by around 7, with maxed strength bonus and piety, super setted and 99 strength. In reality, a special is raising your average hit about 6. Whee. Fun, but not all that useful, considering that about 70% of your hits on a high level player are 0s. For slayer (Spent around 25 hours slaying with the godswords) Don't bother. Zammy, Bandos, and Armadyl all are far out hit by a whip + defender, and the SGS spec is so overrated I can't even begin to describe it. Perhaps I was expecting too much, but I've found that any monster my unicorn won't heal me enough on (waterfiends for example), the SGS would help very little. I frequently specced 0s on waterfiends, even after trying all 3 attack styles. Most other monsters were not high enough level for me to need it, and it did not really help at GWD (freqent misses, little healing). Summary: ZGS - Not that useful for spec, even on flagholder BGS - Fairly useful in many PVP or boss hunting situations; worthless for slayer SGS - Fairly useless in PVP; not that useful for slayer AGS - Boosts hit by 6 or so each spec, usually hits 0 on high levels in barrows armor My personal recommendation - Barrage rock lobsters for charms, train summoning to 88 and get a unicorn. \ . As for godswords, get a BGS, but leave it in the bank for slayer. Feel free to respond with questions.

Selling junk?
Bad idea - if they are truly junk, then they can be used to rent or sell other undervalued items - I can easily loan my bgs out for 200k for several hours, but I don't have the junk so I can't.

Selling junk?
Waste of time - who is going to buy "junk"? I had someone trying to sell me 40k maple bows (u) for 20 minutes until I put him on ignore and he moved on to the next victim...

Fight Pits (PVP)
So, what's your fight pits outfit? My favorite is full v + fury + guthix cape + d boots + berserker + rune arrows, with ahrims top and bottom, karils top, MSB, dd++ + defender, antipoison++, 1k barrage runes, 4 combat pots, 2 ice titan pouches, 1k Titan's Con. scrolls, then food or various other changables. I'd like to get some opinions on the "best" outfits, as I plan to (real life permitting) write a guide on the fight pits sometime. Note that I'm posting about the PVP minigame, not the Jad fighting minigame : Thanks, and post away! (No worries about flaming for stupidity :wall: )

Achievements: Latest, Greatest.. Pointless?
Himm, my "best" would be 90 summoning, spent 150m barraging\bursting lobsters :wall: My "best\latest" would be earning 540k tokul (and counting!) from the pits. Then again, I spent around 15m on everything from barrage runes to potions to scrolls\pouches, so I guess its not that great. Still fun, though. And I've made quiet a few friends their, so I guess that counts for a good achievement :

Void Armor- it's a disease!!!
[mini rant]No offense, but that's just sad. After having gotten over 2k points at OLD PC, and over 1k at new, I can honestly say that that's the worst statment I've heard in a long time. First of all, pest control consists of running around and killing portals\monsters in attempt to keep the void knight alive, and trying to work together with a team to win XP. Compare that to zombie monkies, where you stand there and click on your prayer and super set potions every 5 minutes. As for XP, under the new PC you get around 65k XP\hour, vs. 108k at zombie monkies (during which you click ~5 times every 5 minutes). I feel sorry for people that PC, but I don't look down on them.[/mini rant] Agreed, void armor is HORRIBLE. For range training it provides ~7% XP boost in a few rare cases (chins not being one of them, void and d hide are TIED there). But if you just spent the PC points on range instead, or better yet trained somewhere else, you would have way more xp. For any kind of PVP void is total rubbish; for melee, it has only one possible use (waterfiends, and proslyte + piety is far better there anyway), and for mage Ahrims blows it away in terms of accuracy and defense. I can't see a single use for void, much less one that would make it worth 10 hours of PCing.

Resizable window - Something you probably didnt know
Maybe they'll make one with 10000+ resolution in the future and we can see all of rs at once lol. I really hope they dont remove this though EDIT: Yes if you make it higher it shortens the width Yep, just finished testing. However, you can see the draw limit at the edges of the screen, so higher res monitors might not help... (Then again, I'm not even sure RS runs at 2056X1800 - never tested it!)

Resizable window - Something you probably didnt know
I'm running 1920X1200 also, only on a 17" laptop display (The DPI is incredible). Its been like this ever since fullscreen\hd came out, I believe. Very useful; its almost an "unfair advantage" for those of us with good screens, especially when farcasting\ranging. I need to get me a 38" 2056X1800... EDIT: Himm, it does seem to stretch out more then fullscreen does... Does it only do this when the height is low? I'll have to experiment, it might make Castle Wars even better :

Bracelet of Regeneration
Regen Brace = 4x. + Rapid Restore = 8x. + Dream = 24x. 24 HP a minute is about double a unicorn stallion, about quadruple a bunyip. Which both dozens of hours (hundreds for stallion) + 10-150m cash (bursting lobsters). Even without dream it equals bunyip, and increases unicorn stallion by 50%... Way overpowered IMO, 2.7m isn't supposed to be halfway equal to a 150m, hundreds of hours long goal that many people dream of (Ok, a little overboard, but you get my point.) That would make the current bunyip better then the current unicorn (which is already overpowered...), and the current stallion... way too powerful. Coupled with dream, useful at FOG and GWD means over double the healing with a unicorn - no thanks. Sorry, but 2x already has some uses (Agility, GWD, FOG, DKS etc.). People just aren't creative enough; the x2 prayer and the x2 regen bracelet offer some useful healing; with Dream I believe they make 12 HP a minute, better then a bunyip (Not positive it stacks, though - never tried Dream with them myself).

Fixing Runescape: The MegaUpdate!
Very, very nice. I love the GE\Trade\BH updates - they would completely and totally kill RWT for once and for all. Not sure about randoms, though - I've still seen quite a few autoers\auto account trainers\AFK people floating around, and I like the rewards of most of the randoms. Just lower the frequency on the long ones (Molly, anyone? I got her 6, count em, 6 times in one day of smithing. Lots of gems, but quite a pain, especially when I'm lagging from a download. Great ideas though! Even though some would not support, I would be cheering the day I saw all of these (word for word) on the front page of runescape.com. Seriously, its the best and most-well-thought-out suggestion(s) I've ever read. Good job. (But go easy in the rants forum  )

What do you wear when you want to look nice?
Whatever armor best suits what I'm doing, otherwise spottier cape + lightness boots. I'm not big on fashion :

Zilyana: Now This?
Meh, no big deal. I gave up trying to get another hilt from her anyway... It just means slightly higher danger\slower kills\faster trips\more sweets eaten.
