  1. You are so wrong. The low level person won't be training their skills, they'll be training their friends. They WON'T get the xp. So yes, your rant is incorrect. They can't advance their own skills 'mooching' off other people. They don't get any xp when they mooch.
  2. My character is named after a Star Trek character. I just did the An Enlightened Journey quest, and guess what? Auguste (the balloon guy) is a double of Captain Picard, my character's human form. There were also many Star Trek references in the dialogs with him. Also, my favorite line comes from Throne of Miscellania quest. I can't remember who you talk to, but you say "Selling Ring of Poverty, 30 mil."
  3. The icons aren't new. They've been on the German servers since they've been out.
  4. Exactly. People think that the guy borrowing the skills is getting xp. HE'S NOT! How it used to be is like this: Low Level: Make steel bars. Here's the stuff High Level: Okay How it is now: Low: Lemme use your skills so I can make steel bars, while you can do what you want instead of spending your time on me. High: Okay High Level still gets the xp, as if he had done it himself.
  5. "Now this rhyme is all dandy and fine until you decide you want to use that allocated time to sit down and just play games." That word is missing.
  6. Done deal. You refuse to end the flame war and you are actually egging it on.
  7. I'm just waiting to see what happens, but I don't think it'll be put into the game until the end of the month, seeing as how it's a huge update.
  8. Most items already do have a set guideline of price. Such as how full rune is always 180k, give or take a few. You're right. People won't sell for more than the competition. This is why you sell less. Jagex has been leaning towards player-made-exchanges rather than shop buying. So in order to get lower prices from players, the players have to either make it themselves or buy it low and sell it for a profit (merchanting.) Jagex is probably more interested in the players doing things independently and creating the product. I think that that is a good thing. It creates competition. There's a limit to what prices will drop to, though. Using full rune as an example again, it will never drop below the price that it costs to buy the bars or ores to make full rune. The ores won't drop in prices because they're still hard to get. People have been asking for player owned houses and shops for a long time. They got their houses, now their getting their shops. But like I said, I think Jagex wants players to be more active in creating what they're selling.
  9. Same to you. You're stereotyping as well as just plain insulting. I on the other hand had a reason to call someone stupid because they post without thinking or bothering to read what they're posting about. You just came flat out and flamed on your very first post. Yes, very nice way to put it. Might as well say that my thread just sucks. Because there obviously aren't less rude ways to say it. So YOU came here and YOU started the flaming. Now if you don't stop, then I will report you. I am really pissed off that you come here and started this flame war and won't flipping let it die.
  10. If you're going to flame, do it somewhere else.
  11. I prefer to put my separate ideas into separate posts, instead of creating one gigantic mass of letters. 1. People do use macroers for a job. They're called gold farmers. 2. Obviously they've overcome those unmentioned variables. 3. Are you stupid to think that Jagex hasn't thought of IP banning and someone such as yourself has? Every hear of a proxy? Jagex can't do anything about it.
  12. Actually, I only called one person a moron. Twice. Why? Because he didn't read the post, just the title. "Tip.it is not official. there are no official fansites of runescape." This has nothing to do with the RuneScape Bugs thread. By the way, I hope you didn't break your leg jumping into our conversation, so you shut up. Mmkaybai.
  13. I think it's Jagex's response to the player-owned-shops that people have been wanting for several years. A good idea I think.
  14. And by the way, Archer11, you might want to update your first post. It's been 8 months since you posted that. Change it so it's actually up to date with the current bot-busting situation maybe?
  15. First off, where they hell did you get those numbers? 3mil for amount of players. 5000 what and from where? 5 what and from where? I might as well say: Hey! There's 3 million people in RS! 3mil/5000 = 3000 3000/5 = 600 Teh z0mg! Only 600 bots banned? Where the hell do you get those damn numbers?! Why don't you just say: 3mil/1mil = 3 3/3 = 1 Teh z0mg! Only 1 bot banned a week!
  16. And I love how all the dates you listed happened MONTHS!!! ago. "Teh z0mg!1!! Seven months ago in April, there were teh sooooo many of teh botties!1!!1 Prices for sharks were 450gpea!!11 z0mg!!!" Guess what? It's October, and shark prices are back to 1kea. What does that mean, you ask? Less bots in the game, says I. So stop complaining.
  17. Jagex says to go ahead and report them, and they will investigate it. You're asking how do you report them? Um, there's a little item called 'Macroing'? You don't need them to speak.
  18. So, what if you get a second one? Then the first one you worked so hard to get is no longer worth it. Also, you can go pking with the godsword and not worry about losing it, because you can tele back and get it. Ooh, I just though of a new, expensive way of 1-iteming :P
  19. Amulets of Accuracy, Arrav Shield Halves, and the Certificate you get from the Shield of Arrav quests are all discontinued in RSC. Well, technically they aren't, as people who haven't done the 2 quests can still get those items. But there's probably only a few dozen accounts that haven't done them and they're probably not being used anymore.
  20. ^ | Another moron who doesn't know how to read.
  21. Just so you know, Jagex has around 144 servers. They can't hold 400k+ now, and there's no way in hell they could before. You're exaggerating too much, and 200k is still a large number. I just checked right now on the RS front page. 178,365 people playing. And that's with all their servers being used at 800+ population. If you know anything, the numbers have been growing. So stop pulling your numbers from thin air.
  22. I've been playing for 5 years over many different accounts, and it's people who're newer to the game who think that the game is degrading and that us grizzled ancients think the same. Yes, there are some old timers out there who don't like it, but if they're as old as they say they are, then they shouldn't be complaining about where RS2 is heading and just stay in RSC.
  23. Great, just what we need. More spam in the RSOF rants page from noobs dieing.
  24. Oh really? Most other MMORPGs don't bother with their bots, or even get bots. They mostly get gold farmers, which is also what Jagex has to deal with. And gold farmers are hardest to deal with for several reasons.
