YOU I didn't ask you. I don't have brown eyes. I don't have a big nose. I don't have a shiny red mouth. I do have bad teeth, but definately not as bad as that. Plus I don't wear a saucepan on my head. Seriously, at least the office supply guy could draw. I drew bad on purpose I know, and all I have to say about that is... :07: :uhh:

Definately not interested in seeing Bubsa in a thong, but I wanna hear Matt singing... In for later (home).

Ban! For posting RL pictures! I dare you to attempt to draw my awesomeness. Although I doubt you could capture it in any media form. 8-)

Counterstrike has always been free. The game you have to buy though is Halflife 1. And to be honest, with the amount of amusement you get from HL1 and CS1.6 I don't think you should be complaining at paying $10.

I can't wait... If it's anything like the show it'll be 5 hours long and just as the main fight is about to start... "Will Goku prevail?! Find out in the next movie of DRAGON-BALL-Z!" -.-

First of all, these reliable sources. Do they know anything of computers? It's got nothing to do with what make the computer is. It's to do with the components inside. Trust me, someone who has built and maintained his own computers for around 6 years now, that computer is not for gaming. It's to be used for normal family based stuff, going on the web, writing up documents and making slideshows. Editing pictures etc... BUT! If you do get the PC, install WoW and have little or no lag. You have my permission to bite my [wagon] off (with proof of course) and call me stupid 'n'stuff. And if you seriously are considering endgame raiding, you better get a decent dedicated graphics card. Sure you can handle the lag, but can the other 9 or 24 members of your team handle it? If you go DPS it might be tolerable for you to lose some damage but if you're tanking or healing, losing aggro or healing could result in a wipe and very angry people. :P

You'll be fine. Edit: Saw that your running Vista with that.. you'll still be okay, but you won't be able to Alt+tab very good or listen to music. I disagree, onboard graphics on it might not handle WoW. Especially in TBC (Shattrath). The good news is, if it doesn't work you can always go out and buy a decent graphics card for it as it has a spare PCI-E x16 slot. :)

Looked through it twice and I don't seem to see anything wrong with that. If you still experience problems post a screenshot of the popup and another HiJackThis log ran at the time of the popup and we'll see if there's anything we can do. :)

If you have a trojan or virus that your scanner can't remove, it's usually because it's running. I recommend shutting down and restarting in safemode. Your virus scanner won't be running by default but all you need is to start it up and do a scan. It should do the rest. If this fails you should attempt to manually remove the file in safe mode. Make sure that the file you are deleting is definately the infected file. Editing or deleting any files in the system32 folder could cause your computer to stop working all together. Again if you can't remove it manually or with the virus scanner you should do a Google search on the particular name of the virus. Most websites like symantec offer free downloadable tools for removing specific virus'.

Post a screenshot, if it looks OK to us then it's your monitor/video card. If it's the same as you're seeing it'll be software related. If it does turn out to be video card/monitor related the only actions you can take are to replace each one one at a time to find out the problem via elimination. Software? It could be anything... Drivers, software you installed, settings, bugs... Etc.

Download and install your graphics drivers from AMD/ATi's site... 32-bit Vista - http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catal ... ed-vista32 64-bit Vista - http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catal ... ed-vista64 Based on choosing Vista -> 32-bit/64-bit -> Integrated/Motherboard -> Radeon Xpress 200M.

I don't care how simple Ubuntu is now... If you can't burn an ISO to a CD you shouldn't touch Linux in any shape or form. :? Just keep using Windows. If anyone else in your family uses that particular computer they'll be just as lost as you too. Learning how to use different and sometimes multiple applications to do the same thing as you would do in Windows is just a waste of time. Also... Gaming, you're pretty much giving it all up unless you can install WINE or dual-boot with XP, which sorta defeats the purpose of installing Linux in the first place. If you're just trying it out, sure go ahead. I'm all for learning new things, but if you use your computer for anything semi-serious you'll be back to Windows within a month. :P

One of my guildmates is the best ret pally I've ever seen. I've BG'd with him and some world pvp, and it's amazing how many times you think he will die but he never does. This is the guy who chased a warlock we were fighting at the Hellfire Peninsula pvp back to Thrallmar, chased it inside the walls and killed it, then managed to escape the guards. Sounds good to me... I frickin' hate being squishy. -.- I always thought that squishy was Cloth... Leather is the new squishy. Hell, mail isn't much better either as I know for a fact that I tear through hunters and shamans with my rogue. It's always that damn Pala or Warrior that stands there thinking about what button to press as I'm furiously pressing all mine as fast as the CD's are up. I'm actually going to do an experiment. I'm gonna delete all the characters on my second account (Alliance) and create a nice new BElf Pala. Open up two windows of WoW and level my Pala with my 70 Rogue. Wonder how long it'll take. :P My only regret about deleting my Alliance characters is I won't be able to use both AH's anymore. :( Oh yeah and talk to Azvi. :o Also got a 2.2k HP level 19 NElf Druid.

Gah. What's a freshman? Sophomore (sp?) ? Senior? Why can't you people just use grades/years/ages like everyone else in the world.

Fergie auctions off her hummer to save the environment.
Chris replied to Craiglowery's topic in Off-Topic
If she gave a rats [wagon] about the environment she wouldn't have bought a Hummer in the first place. In all honesty, I couldn't give a damn about the environment. But celebs who jump on the bandwagon suck. Fast cars > Environment. -
This has become a popular e-mail scamm do not fall for it
Chris replied to supermegajake's topic in Off-Topic
Block? Delete? NAAAAAAH. It's more fun to f* with them first. Admittedly I've never gotten an e-mail back from the same person after sending one. But I'm an amateur. People get these guys to send proof that they're real and genuine by getting them to write stupid things on signs and do silly poses. A lot of it is quite amusing. I'm sure one person managed to get a scammer to go to the Vatican. The best thing you can do is make them spend their own money. :) ' Matt's right though, all you need is common sense. -
RIP. Another rogue bites the dust. Luckily there's a couple hundred thousand of us! You'll be back. To be honest, I've been having so much fun on my PTR paladin that I was thinking about rolling one. Only problem with that is I hated levelling the first time and I don't think I'll be able to do it again. Wish WotLK would hurry up so at least when I make a DK I'll be able to skip most of the crap I hated the first and second time around. :wall:

Hmz... Not sure I'd call it dead as such, just limited in scope. Despite attempts to encourage it on a grander scale, the rewards - compared to BG grinding - are just not worth it. Oh sure, the occasional Halaa brawl or fight on the Hellfire Peninsula gives some rewards, but the risk vs reward ration on those aren't nearly interesting enough to encourage more than casual world PvP, setting the hardcore PvP in arena's (and to a much, much lesser extent, BG's). As to why roll on a PvP server; Because the playstyle is radically different. Played properly you always keep a sharp lookout for a human opponent that will never hesitate to strike at you when you're at your weakest. They will exploit your mistakes, momentary weaknesses and vulnerabilities in a way that no mob ever could. It takes more effort, more thinking, more skill to get what you want done on a PvP server. Personally, I'd like to see the various faction cities remade to encourage world PvP. Make the leaders give tangiable - and considerable - honour rewards, make killing members of the opposite faction in your city zone give some form of mark you can exchange for honour or items, and seriously rework the neverending spawns of guards. Ever thought of working for Blizzard? :P Me and a bunch of random people took over Darkshire on the PvP PTR, it was awesome. Only thing that got us eventually was the frickin' guard spawn. Couldn't regain mana or heal in time because as soon as one guard dies another magically appears out of no-where. I like the idea of gaining rewards for killing people in their own city zones. But I'd expect that'd only go down well with large groups, rogues and druids. Leaving a lot of people out. The -8 level thing for gaining honor sucks [wagon]. It should be 4 at best. Unless of course you're 8 levels below your opponent. :P I think you get like 5 - 15? Honor per kill in World PvP. For the amount of time and hassle you might as well go into AV and kill a few mobs with your big [wagon] group. It does need major work, but it'll never happen. Blizzards way to fix "World" PvP is to add another PvP zone. Sure it's a step in the right direction, but I don't wanna have to fly/ride/walk to a seperate zone to play World of Warcraft. I wanna do it when I'm wandering about in Orgrimmar, chasing down an Alliance alt in Redridge. Hell I'd even settle for sitting in the war room in Stormwind (Which I've done a few times...) I suppose it's good to have these ideas but to be honest I do get Blizzards point of view too. If WoW was one giant warzone no one would be able to level, gain items or craft items. Think back to what RS was like when the only safe zone was Lumby. It'd be like that, or very similar at least. Poor little Joe Newbie would get to level 5/6 and leave his nice safe starting zone, walk out into Elywnn and get 'WTFPWNED' by a passing group of level 70 Horde. I don't think there's any real way to prevent this to be honest. I know the way the zones are the now are fairly well laid out. But contested zones start as early as 16/17. PS. That probably made no sense at all. Read if you dare. :P (Wait you should have done that already...)

Aye, I second the HDD in the new machine. Just unplug a CD/DVD-ROM drive and plug the HDD in there. 100Mb LAN isn't slow, but setting it up and transferring would still take more time than shoving the drive in. Assuming it's not a pre-built machine and opening it up voids your warranty. If so, LAN.

Download Windows Media Player 11. Assuming you have a legal copy of Windows. If you don't, PM me. Also you might want to download CCCP. I won't say guarantee, but this'll most likely solve your problem. It did on my laptop.

I already consider you an acquaintance, and that's more than can be said for most people here. I'm one of the many Dans from #darkwebz. You're 'the' Dan... Daan, Dan and DaN. As to be on-topic. Neither of you, because I'm a loner. Plus with the exception of some of the Scots, I doubt you could keep up with my drinking habits.

That would imply that buying things online is less secure than logging in to RuneScape, which simply isn't true. If something is sent over the Internet then one of the "postal workers" (routers) can read it (infact they have to), just like the FBI/MI5/whoever can listen in to phone calls provided they have access somewhere the call is being routed through. Logging in via the java client doesn't create a magical link to the Jagex servers ignoring space and time, everything still goes through atleast a dozen routers between you and the server you're playing on. The RuneScape client doesn't appear to send passwords in plain text, so they're most likely encrypted/hashed/encoded. That's not quite what I meant... I knew I shoulda just left this topic alone. Knowing that at least someone would get anal at me trying to explain things simply.

Stupid msn virus..? Please help me, I'm desperate..
Chris replied to JordanGM's topic in Tech and Computers
Dont swear then say excuse my language. Just don't swear. As for your problem, best bet would be to run hijackthis and get one of the 'experts' here to help you. A lot of them do know what they're talking about so listen and listen well. I could do it, but I'm afraid I hate reading through the logs. -.-
