[hide=] If it was at least partly rational, then this wouldn't be thread-worthy. But it just happens to be a hilarious and irrational one, which kind of exposes how immature RWTers can be. Immature? These people are business men. Gold farming is undertaken by actual companies, in both Korea and China. Theyre the ones making money everywhere off gamers like you, its hardly stupid. Im sure you can make amazingly smart sentences in Chinese. Oh and of course you can write flawless Korean and Chinese and can come up with amazing selling lines. Theres nothing funny in laughing at foreigners English, at least they tried. The world doesnt revolve around English, and in poor Asian countries they barely have the money to live, learning English is far from cheap or easy. What they wrote was very good considering. For Americans, gold farmers are nothing else but an annoyance in a game. But for some people in these countries, its what their survival of them and their family depends on. Its almost impossible to find a job in China, and when you do, there are people ready to work for even less than you do. Just let them do their silly websites if it helps them; you dont have to buy from it. And obviously enough, they wrote that to push people to buy their product, it isnt their actual views. They dont speak English very well but theyre not stupid. [/hide] Actually, I wasn't commenting on their spelling and grammar at all, there are much worse English translation examples out there. I was commenting on their very poor argument, it's so bad that it could be sarcastic. Surely if they were capable of English to this level, they should really know how this sounds: Using 'Somehow' in an argument suggests immaturity to me. Just a bit. I just can't believe that this would be a grammar error.
  2. No, I am almost certain that this will be p2p. Jagex only updates f2p when they have to, or when excluding f2p would be more of a waste of time than including them. This fills neither category.
  3. Tip.it has helped me fill in the gaps where I have spare time, but I don't feel like playing RS. It's probably prevented me from pernamently quitting yet, because I love it's great community which is often difficult to find, and I don't want to leave it.
  4. Since elves are immortal (or an elf has never as of yet died of old age), it wouldn't surprise me if Haluned was alive in the present. Anyway, weren't sheep supposed to be the first creatures on Runescape, followed shortly by cats? Then again, since we know that Guthix was not The Creator, we could even doubt that. P.S. I loved the reference to Portal (Examine Portal: There's cake through here, apparently) =D>
  5. QFT. Tip.it has significantly less immature posters than most forums out there, specifically the RuneScape Official Forums. We don't have Jagex support, but our community makes up for that by far, and that is our purpose- To deliver forum-wise where Jagex hasn't.
  6. PM'd the recordings for my lines.
  7. Here's my new and improved picture - (*Big voice*) In H-D.
  8. False. Source: http://www.random.org/randomness/ the term is pseudo random number generation Omali and extracting 'randomness' from physical phenomena would be impracticle for a game like runescape. they don't have a warehouse filled with dice rolling machines. yes yes i know he said "computer program" but we're talking about runescape, stop it. But Runescape does have lots of pretty random input like the direction that a certain player of an increasing rank in runecrafting is moving and the most recently typed letter in a chat box. Heck, that would give some biased probabilities which could prove useful. Jagex would never tell us what it is because then some people would repeatedly type 'q' to get rare drops or something. Actually, even though I am illiterate when it comes to code, I don't think that it would be that impossible, or even hard, to code. As for the 'anti farm code', it probably exists in some games, but I don't think that Runescape is one of them. Besides, if we are completely unsure on it's existence, it isn't doing enough.
  9. Most popups do that, but I'm sure it's fixable.
  10. Expand on this, it has great potential: If you want to 'use' an item on something in the game world, you drag and drop it onto whatever you want to use it on. Then your character walks over and performs the action. Also, if you drag and drop it somewhere on the ground, you character will walk over and drop it there (if it's droppable).
  11. I'd rather that Jagex did something about combination runes- not just elemental, and made the process cheaper and better overall. Besides, I think that there is a risk that this will easily be either overpowered or underpowered. Besides, it seems weird to be able to change the nature of the runes. I thought the idea was that they were the different aspects of the world that couldn't be interchangeable.
  12. This is a great idea! I guess maybe I could sing a line or something. Anything to be of help. I could do the 'I love big cities' and the 'I love the ocean' lines.
  13. It's like a love-hate relationship. I love to hate it, yet sometimes I just love it. Thing is, some trades which would have taken ages advertising now just go by themselves, which is awesome. The only problem is the whole +/- 5% issue which can be a real problem, but I guess that isn't the GE itself, it's the trade restrictions. Then again, without the trade restrictions, the GE doesn't serve it's true purpose. :| Meh. The important thing is that it's here to stay, and no amount of rioting will change anything now.
  14. The big question is-- who the hell is selling them?

  16. Really? That's good. Problem solved!
  17. Weird, it sounds like something to do with lag, and yet you say that you don't lag very much at all. :-k
  18. It's an ego thing, which is mainly pointless. Then again, leveling up a character normally is also an ego thing. I think that it's just part of the quest to achieve something higher and more difficult than level 99 in everything. It's not worth the time though, because the game is much larger and more available (and more fun) if you level normally.
  19. This is one of the thousands of reasons I don't bother with social networking sites.
  20. Those f2p updates are either about replacing the Wilderness and enticing the PKers back, or are about enticing newbies into playing the game in the first place. Only semi-exception is the Strongholds, but they're about teaching players about 'Safety' and 'Security' (probably to further improve RuneScape's image in the predator/hacker count category, which often drives players away), and they had to throw in a dungeon to make people bother doing it. Every f2p update has an absolute clear purpose, unlike p2p things like new quests.
  21. What kind of *special* donuts? Are they good? Oh, and on average what is better, Western restaurants in Eastern countries or Eastern restaurants in Western countries?
  22. Never had chips ahoy, but I have had Oreos. And I love them.
  23. I am loyal, but only to the people who are loyal to me, which works in the vast majority of cases because you end up with a close group of friends rather than a huge group of people who might backstab you one day. The reason why I avoid 'going with the flow' is that often I don't like where the 'flow' is going. Just because a 'flow' exists doesn't mean that it has to be followed.
  24. I completely agree with you. No-lifing isn't defined by a number of hours, it's defined by what priorities you place below playing Runescape.
  25. Or you could simply take 10 or twelve seconds (waiting to skip advert) and click "Skip". Not everyone has computers that are able to run Runescape + multiple ads smoothly and cause no lag. I do but I know many others do not. You do know activly blocking adverts are against jagex rules right? It was Jagex's fault that they decided to sneak in an unenforceable rule. I used to right click the ads and mess around with it, and eventually you could stop it from moving and lagging. Now, I play on members.
