  1. Sure, I'm pretty sure these are all the ones available. If I have missed anything, apologies. Theives' Guild Hanky Points, number of points available to claim. Manage They Kingdom, approval rating and coins in coffers. Circus, which of the Ranged, Magic and Agility sections have been completed. Bork. Skeletal Horror. Phoenix. Tears of Guthix.
  2. I really like it. I hope the rest of the site is as nice looking as the front page.
  3. Also, probably more commonly, it will be a quicker way to find out how many Dungeoneering tokens you have, as well as giving proof to others, without the need for the ring of kinship or the rewards trader. Quickchat actually has a lot of uses.
  4. I disagree, this is a major problem. New players will often be put off by outdated audio, and a significant proportion of the population don't listen to the audio. Honestly, there's a limit to how far you can take this, and it's gone way over the line.
  5. https://chrome.googl...fehjfmnlkpepfmp It's made by an independant developer, but it uses the information about the GE and so on from Jagex's databases. I'm guessing the friend's list and other updates will be added in a few days :D I love it when Jagex makes information like this more open, although I think a friend's list feature is fairly limited in use compared to the GE and D&D features. Still, no harm in it at all.
  6. We, or rather Jagex, might have found a serious weakness in bots, and it can be exploited a lot. Bots can't handle changes where they're used to something permanent. I approve. If they can make these elements change more frequently than the time it takes for the programmers to recode their bots and have them do work, Jagex will have the upper hand. How to go about it though, I don't know.
  7. We have come to the point in technology where the claim of 'We need to keep the file sizes low, so they have to be in MIDI' no longer applies. The audio files need to be replaced, preferably MP3 quality. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Jagex is in Cambridge, which is full of music students, with a huge amount of experience in orchestras and sound effects. They don't really have an excuse now.
  8. At the time of posting, they still are broadcasting about it. I think they've been focused solely on the story since the first miner. EDIT: Also, kudos to Chile for handling this so well. I wish the 'los 33' the best in the future.
  9. Australia, because I love the culture, and Japan, because I also love the culture. Seriously, you two are awesome, you should meet up.
  10. So the KBD Lair is supposed to be a schoolyard playground, then? IMO the KBD should be f2p, but that aside, I agree with Dangazmlp that revs are too weak to pose a threat at higher levels. Mainly, their max hit isn't up to par. Whether you like this or not, is another isse. My point is that very few enemies are going to pose a serious threat to high-level players anyway. But this isn't about what things currently can do, it's about what we would like things to do. Would you want a more dangerous wilderness? Yes, I would. The Wilderness should be very likely to kill you if you're unprepared, and a challenge if you are prepared, equipment and food wise. I think giving revenants the ability to run will fix a lot of that.
  11. If Jagex intentionally used a text that could either mean 'Desert' or 'Wilderness', they deserve serious credit for their ingenuity.
  12. Huzzah, a hunting update. Should be good. Also, huzzah, the Champion's been adjusted. It was overpowered, so hopefully this will fix things.
  13. I agree with this guy. Levelling should be enjoyable, and the rewards should be enjoyable. After all, this is a game.
  14. And here... we... go! Nice reasoning there... Your argument completely validates your points due to its well thought-out piece of intelligent TROLLING THAT YOU DUMP ON THESE FORUMS!!! Go away, noone wants you here... I happen to like the first article. The 2nd and 3rd article too, but since everyone already agrees with me there, I dont feel the need to discuss those... I like it because it takes a controversial point of view, and manages to explain it in a coherent and intelligent and UNDERSTANDABLE way... It is one of the articles out there that has the potential to change someone's mind about how they feel about, in this case, putting a "taste of minigames" in quests... The author saw it happen twice (three times if you count Diaries) and thinks this will become a trend to "promote" otherwise unused content in the future. He feels that if the content is unpopular it is not a fault of under-exposure, but rather of what that content itself has to intice us to play it... Well done. Woah, calm down. Think about it this way: Should quests not be allowed to include content or refer to its minigames, just to satisfy those with the idea that doing so is just promoting the minigame? It's not so wrong to use them as sources of content, and Jagex haven't promoted a failed minigame after it's become apparent that they've failed. Soul Wars, Conquest and Pest Control are pretty popular, if not up with the most popular minigames, so treating them as failed just isn't right. If minigames were completely non-canon to quests, I'm pretty sure the storylines would suffer from it.
  15. I'm in exactly the same position as the OP. I planned to alch my way to it, but I don't know what to alch. I'm interested in Hunter Kits though, even if they are 2m. What's the most effective method?
  16. The chaotic crossbow is only marginally more accurate than the rune crossbow, since the strength lies in the ammo. Considering the costs in its maintenance, it's not worth it. I'd consider either the staff or the maul. Difference is not marginal. It's about 15-20% more accurate based on grimy/my accuracy formula. In pvp i notice a significant difference. Don't get the maul unless you plan on using WF's for 99 summoning. I have one and I'd much rather have a CLS or staff. Wait, really? I swear it was just +10 over the rune crossbow last I checked. *checks* Ok, ignore my post about the crossbow. It's +30. That's exactly why I was suggesting the maul. I imagine waterfiends to be really fast if you use it, but ultimately there's no right answer to this question without knowing what the goals of the asker in question are.

  18. Me too. After that quest I always imagine that my character has some kind of psychological trigger whenever anyone mentions a 'small favour'. He just stares for three seconds, perhaps with an eye twitch, before snapping back to reality and resuming dialogue.
  19. I'm 18, and I'm certainly not too old for this game. I still suck at it. I figure the main age demographic is 16-18 year old male casual players, although it can accommodate broadly above and below that age range. The thing is, it's probably people who are in that demographic that act as if they're 12 or younger. To be honest, I don't see what's wrong with playing it when you're 50, at least it means you aren't one of those stubborn people who refuse to enjoy the technology of the next generation. Also, Runescape taught me to type quickly as well. It's like being in a foreign-speaking country and learning the language really fast out of necessity. Runescape is just a world where people communicate by trying to type at about 70+ WPM, so you learn how to do that naturally after a few months. It doesn't help when your cat falls asleep on the keyboard though.
  20. I can't take this post seriously, so I won't. fun fact: lrn2googlemudslinging. I loled at all those ads. I did say that I have no clue about American politics. I suppose the question I'm really asking is "Do these ads actually work?" If they don't, than that would put me at ease.
  21. I don't understand American politics. How can you have a political ad without talking about policies or having rational arguments about political issues? Is it really so much about personality now that it's ignored actual politics? How the hell is America still functioning?
  22. It's not boostable. I drank a Wizard's Mind Bomb at 78 mage and I couldnt start the quest. I appreciate the tip, thanks. There's no real harm in getting 80 magic anyway, I'm only level 77 at the time of posting.
  23. Quick question: Is it possible boost to the 80 magic requirement? I don't really feel like training it when I don't need to.
  24. Sorry. :( I can imagine that there would be some reasonable situations where a really high level in a skill is required, it's just that we're not ready for that yet.
