Nowadays I do them after the task, or if I need to bank mid-task. I won't leave a task unfinished for a clue scroll alone.
  2. I'd say 4 years is a good bet, but it depends on a few factors. A good cooling system and regularly sweeping out dust helps.
  3. It's not actual teleportation. This is quantum entanglement, which is different, and old news. The only 'advancement' they've made is getting one photon 10 miles from the other, it's a fancy optical cable. The thing is with quantum entanglement is that you still need to get a constant stream of photons from the 'splitting crystal' to the receiving end. You can't recycle the photons because they disentangle as soon as they are observed, but it still doesn't discriminate who observes them, so they can still be interfered with. It's just that the intended receiver won't get the message.

That doesn't mean that you should get an iPhone though. It's like Internet Explorer, it's what made desktop browsing popular, but it's no longer the best way to go about it. Thinking about getting an Android phone, the prices seem far more reasonable and has much more potential because it's not limited by Apple.
  5. Not that i am trying to start an argument or anything, but how do you not enjoy getting more xp for something you would do normally? I don't enjoy it either, although I'm not going to let the opportunity pass me by. When training a skill is strictly faster, it reduces the feeling of accomplishment at the end, which is the whole point of training skills. It just doesn't help.
  6. It's partly that, but you can't get into a real routine with quests. You have to train pretty much every skill to a reasonable degree as well as do the quests themselves instead of just do the same thing for a long time.
  7. Which is why it's best to have an ingame screenshot feature instead. The biggest issue is the time when it's just released, and everyone takes a screenshot to try it out. Several servers explode.
  8. No, that's not why they're there. It's only when something goes seriously wrong, such as when there is no functioning government at all for a long time. Democracy isn't foolproof, everyone knows that, so the best way is to cover all of your bases.
  9. and that with iron not steel titan (steel would give range exp :P). Gear like d hide or barrows would have made it alot easier also, although i admit this wasnt a level 37 it was in the spirit of an account that could be level 60ish ( with 1 att 1 str) No, the fact that strongsack was orange shows this was a nearly maxed account. Sorry, it's just not impressive.
  10. It does hold a purpose, we were close to seeing just that in the last election. If the MPs cannot reach an agreement about how to structure their government, then there needs to be someone to make the call and dissolve parliament again. If it's another elected representative, then they'll be equally undecided or unwilling to do their job for fears of unpopularity in their parties. On the other hand, if the government goes out of control and no longer works in the interest of the country, it can equally be disbanded. It's a failsafe, and it's harmless anyway.
  11. WOOT BTS IS BACK!!! EDIT: I'm a bit cautious about the set of updates at the moment. The court cases sound potentially great, but only potentially. I'm most excited about the quest about the Void Knights, though. Oh, it's compulsory.
  12. Wait, what? There's parents in America being too drunk to care for their child, much less teach them good values. There's parents in Iraq telling their kids to hate Americans and run around with grenades, there's parents in India who sell off their kids for money. Parenthood does not equal instant love and compassion. Now, why is it that those parents think it's good to go get drunk, or tell their children to hate others? Society. If that was true, then most people would think that it's morally good to get drunk and tell your children to hate others. That clearly isn't the case.
  13. It does make sense, even if it requires a slightly clearer explanation than Jagex initially gave, but I think that people have the idea now. The different levels do increase the combat levels of creatures you're fighting, but the style changes bring completely different sets of bosses and puzzle rooms. It just gives a variety, and people would be far more annoyed if you could just go to the highest level that you can and do it repeatedly for the biggest XP rates. Too many skills have fallen into that trap.
  14. It corrupts the individual human being, but we aren't just individuals that have nothing to do with each other between interactions. Part of being a human being is that of shared ideas, and those shared ideas come together to form a society. Society doesn't corrupt the human being as a whole, it defines it.

Want. Now. Oh, and a 1 out of 1 is still a perfect record.
  16. I did go on questing rampages until I hit the brick wall of master and grandmaster quests (5 to go at the time of posting). Right now I'm just trying my best to get the requirements, but once I start a quest, I won't do anything else until it's done. Currently, 65 slayer and brutally ripping a mithril dragon to pieces is my task, but it's nothing like a good quest rampage.
  17. It astounds me that this [developmentally delayed]ed way of typing is still around. But it's okay since it's said ironically. Which makes it funny... or something. Somehow. It's best to not dwell on it too much. The expression on the bird was funny though. 'Where are we going? Are there sausages? Where are the sausages? YAY SAUSAGES'
  18. That's fine. It probably is old news, but it just seemed a bit weird.
  19. I'm probably acting really stupidly about this, but what is the red text in the chat box about? I was playing castlewars when the update happened, and I've never seen it before.
  20. I don't believe that is true for Runescape. It's got nothing to do with rejecting reality at all, it's simply adding another medium to the world in which you can create something that you can call your own. It has many parallels with getting out a blank canvas and creating a picture to take home and enjoy. Is that an escape from reality? We might be tempted to call it that, but the result is not separate from the world, it is part of it. The world could be split up into billions of mediums, speech, music, architecture, technology, but none of them are separate from the others.
  21. Wait, what? Open Source? Jagex? This cannot be>£Q£"$_)___*£"Q$() >DIV/0 >LOGICAL ERROR >EMERGENCY SHUT DOWN INITIATED >BRAIN REBOOT SUCCESSFUL This is huge, I can't believe that Jagex didn't announce this on the main page. It makes it possible for us to make a tip.it client now.
  22. We deserved to come last so badly. I hate to admit it, but the general effort of the other countries have dramatically improved and we simply haven't. I was rooting for Turkey, but Germany was one of several countries that deserved to win it.
  23. I really like these ideas, and I'm especially fond of the suggestion about having more than on bound 'Set'. I don't get why there needs to be limits on what you can bind though. What if I want a Mage/Range hybrid or something? The POH dungeons are really untapped potential for this skill. Just sayin'.
  24. Whats next? Chaos, Blood, Soul... Death... 4 more Elemental workshops <_< Just Blood and Soul I think.
