  1. You've hit the nail on the head. If the GE started to accept the street value of an item, no matter how exorbitant Jagex considers it, then the problem will be solved. Maybe the most effective solution would be for Jagex to release a stackable but useless 'Junk' item, which can be obtained for free in vast quantities but has a GE value of 100gp each. Once they've flooded the market, track every player-to-player trade that uses them, and adjust the GE prices until the Junk is minimised. Once Jagex is confident that they can't reduce the Junk any more, remove all of it from the game.
  2. It's $70? I'd buy one of those ergonomic mice for that kind of money. It's slightly sickening what kind of prices Apple can get away with.
  3. I'm not saying this ironically: Good job Jagex. At least you're the kind of company that gets its priorities right in its games development process. It is more important to have working content that is a week late than content which breaks the game and excludes its main customer base (those who don't have powerful computers) from playing the game. A large portion of the RSOF are overemotional fools, ignore them.
  4. I reckon a soul is something that's a tad more abstract. It's the sum of your actions, thoughts, and ideas, your impact in the world around you. When you die, that impact is still there and will exist for ever, diffusing throughout the universe.
  5. Trackpads are considered a disadvantage to mobile computers. Many people pack a small wireless mouse in for that reason. It's simply easier to navigate the screen with a mouse.
  6. Factoring in the difficulty of actually getting a good partner or team, yes, Dungeoneering is one of the hardest 99s (or indeed 120s) in the game. On the other hand, if you've got a great reliable team/clan, it's leaning towards the easier skills, although it's no Cooking or Fletching. Dung is a great skill because there's so much variety, but I REALLY want Batch 2 to come!
  7. The highscores certainly aren't crowded. Very few people have actually get 200M experience, and nobody's anywhere near achieving it in all skills.
  8. Just because the article says so doesn't make it true. The coincidence of blue eyes, very pale skin and blonde hair is too much evidence to ignore. On the other hand, it must be possible for black parents to produce a white child or vice versa due to genetic mutation, otherwise everyone would have the same colour skin. Melanin is what causes hair and skin color. The closer you are to the equator the darker your skin is. Its a natural adaptation that your body does to protect itself against skin cancer. Thats why its so rare for a black person to get skin cancer while white people living in the southern part of the united states get it pretty often (statistically speaking). I would like to say that it could possibly be an albino (albinoism is a disease where no melanin is produced at all). Judging by her nose (the closer to the equator the larger nose you have, as an adaptive trait to cool down) the larger your nose is. Her nose is definitely that of African decent. (looking at the pictures she has the same nose as her brothers and sisters). It could be a rare case of albinoism where SOME melanin is produced but not a whole lot. Im no expert but i can say safely in my own opinion that she is NOT of European decent. The genetic mutations that have resulted in the vast difference in natural skin colour for people living nearer or further away from the equator are not directly caused by the sun, if you ignore the slight leeway given by tanning, since tanned skin doesn't get passed on. They merely occur at random, but selective pressures (the sun) influence which genes get passed on. At some point in humanity's early years, a genetic mutation or series of genetic mutations occurred where a human couple with darker skin had a child with lighter skin. This might be a reoccurrence of that same mutation.
  9. I would rant on about how the American government still thinks it owns the Internet, but I'll just let this one pass because they'll only move the sites to a new domain. The US government can't possibly win.
  10. Yeah, I reckon that Jagex has far too many ideas and not enough people to develop them with. I really want them to do the Eastern Lands now, it's pretty much 'Runescape: Chapter 2', and the game will feel much fresher for it.

  12. Agreed. But I think I'll let Jagex off on account that they're saying 'Look who's successful NOW *evil laughter*'. It's probably something that they've bottled up for a while, may as well let it off now while they've got the upper hand.
  13. Don't panic. Some of the Friends' List servers are offline, this isn't a problem on your end. It happens occasionally, they'll come back online eventually.
  14. Tabs on top are brilliant so long as they work smoothly and naturally, which is what Chrome managed to achieve from the start. I'm never going back to Firefox.
  15. But you have to admit that a forum where correct grammar is encouraged has a much more mature and comfortable air about it, in the same way that sitting on a leather seat in an old library, with people quietly reading around you while sipping fine malt whisky is much more enjoyable than sitting on a hard plastic seat in Burger King, with noisy children flying around you while slurping a nearly banana milkshake.
  16. I don't think enough people are aware of that. It's panic selling.
  17. The prices right now don't support your statement. They're still crashing.
  18. Please, enlighten me, what's so deep about RuneScape's gameplay? The lores, quests, and histories of the game are pretty deep, I'd say.
  19. Oh come on. Changing your consent afterwards is called regret, not rape. The judge needs to look up a dictionary.
  20. Jagex should have been clear about this, it's hardly something to be ashamed of. It's removed the spear from the status as 'best all around melee weapon', which has made the already impressively balanced skill more balanced.
  21. I'm loving the grimy ranarr spawn at the chaos druids dungeon. Also, isn't the gatestone portal a tad too convenient? You can home teleport and get back to where you were for free very quickly, which was pretty much one of the slowest tasks in dungeoneering. Suddenly inventory space is a lot more easy to manage, but I don't know whether that's a good thing.
  22. I am extremely glad that they didn't merge. Jagex is a very rare gem of a company that believes in doing things differently, and Runescape reflects that. Otherwise, it would just be a generic medieval/fantasy MMO that's been done before. It also shows that EA and Activision didn't quite grasp what millions of players have been looking for: A huge MMO that you can quickly start playing on virtually any computer.
  23. I set up an elaborate Rube Goldberg machine involving a cookie, orange peel, a bomb, Napalm_Death, and a purple energy efficient light bulb, resulting in the wall receiving a light poke. 37 HP.
  24. >running around >barely using their feet Does not compute. http://en.wikipedia....erican_football (and they dare call that thing ... football) You seem to have missed my point entirely.....probably cause you're an ignorant soccer fan You say running around, then you say they barely use their feet.... So what are they running on?!?! :wall: Oh come on. Very nearly all ball sports involve running, that's not using your feet. That's using your legs.
  25. I'm sorry, what's wrong with my post? If I've got something wrong then please tell me what.
