It does sound like it could be a good idea , but theres one major flaw to it , people usually dont post thier help or advice topics in that forum, they post them in general and general p2p and use the lame excuse "nobody goes to H&A, so i get quicker replies here", then the mods spend way too much time moving them all. That excuse holds absolutely no water with me as most of the replies to the questions in those 2 forums are annoyed users TELLING THEM TO POST IN H&A..... When people start posting their questions properly , it would THEN make sense to split them into catagories.

The current posts per page is 15 , I'll bump it to 20 for the time being and we'll re-evaluate it from there. I know its not a big change but as it needs to pull that info from the database , it needs to be slowly moved to idnetify the impact it will have on page loads. As for making a configurable MOD out of it , I'll look into it but time is a bit short on weekdays.

For a starter site , that is WAY more then enough.

It actually just depending on how you are writing the pages. If you are using basic HTML only , then yes , unfortunately you would have to make duplicates and just edit in the content that you want to appear on each specific page. But take RuneTips for instance , the whole site is written using PHP and the whole site(pretty much) is driven completely from the index.php , and the pages containing the content we want to display are included dynamically, keeping the default "structure" of the page intact.

All the images in the smilies directory on the server combined are smaller then the file size of one users signature (27kb). Most smilies are only about 300 or so bytes so its not a huge bandwidth issue as images are usually cached , at least for the duration of the session, depending on user browser preferences. Adding to the signature size would although add to user load times as they would have to wait for their browser to download an additional 10kb per user post , which "could" total to another 150kb per topic page. We arent ruling out the possibility of allowing larger signatures in the future but raising the size limit and keeping the filesize was actually what the users suggested earlier on this forum. All done , you can stop PMing me links to this thread lol the only change I made was the code for XD to have colons around it :XD: Whereas its only letters I didnt want to replace all existing instances of the two letters everywhere with the image :) Thanks for the submissions, it's much appreciated when the users help with updates and suggestions by providing content other then me having to research it and implement something completely different :P

The concensus is pretty much as Loge stated . Religion is too controversial a topic , so allowing ANY reference to it is disallowed as someone will always try to find a loophole and push the limits of the rule. We do however allow moderate discussion of such topics in the Off-Topic forum ONLY. This was only allowed as the specific Moderators of that forum opted to take responsibility for the oversight and removal of any related topics. Signatures, avatars , and profiles unfortunately are global user settings that are not confined to a specific forum , so they have as such been added to the "not allowed" list.

So does my shiny new post count make me the most trustworthy person in this community? have I accomplished the greatest "achievement" ? Anything can be manipulated (spamming useless posts to achieve a high count is a form of manipulation)

You're right , the topic is useless . Let the "awesome lvl 3's" post their own screenshots and achievements, and let them post it in the proper place. Original picture removed due to the fact that now that everyone called him a cheater, it violates our naming names rule.
