  1. Meh, it's a nice idea but it's not the real thing :/ A rune large for a sara kite? Not really a fair trade... Rune large for 2 rune meds , each rune med for a rune kite, both rune kites for a rune plate, rune plate for 1 rune chain and 1 rune legs. Rune legs for a rune kite, rune chain for a rune kite and a rune long. Both kites for another plate and the long for a large. The plate and the large for 2 guthix pages. 2 guthix pages for Torag hammers,... Now you're talking ;) (I am not up to date with rune prices, so most of that was just guessing, but you get my point...) Do that, and I'll be sure to trade my crap with you ^^
  2. they gave me a half key once :/ Technically, they should give half shields right? lol... Since they "drop" gems :D
  3. Personally I think PJ'ing or rushing holds very little honour, and I wouldn't do it if I was a PK'er. But I really don't see the problem with "safe-ing". I mean, if I go to the wildy and my intention is to fight, then one of the key elements would be keeping my HP up, right? Eating to maintain your HP level is, to me, not losing honour, but just common sense... I mean, the better player will still win in the end, right? Since he who gets hit harder, will go through his food much quicker. Either you don't eat at all, or either you eat as much as you want. My 2 cents, but really, don't listen to them, as I'm no a PK'er myself :). And now that I found out that you can't eat, I'll probably never be one :P
  4. Yeah I've heard that it's for sale as well. I didn't know they were that "young", appearantly they couldn't cover the costs after all then, and I was wrong. To bad that they quit tho
  5. Give the pot, no matter what he/she's wearing or what his/her level is, believe it or not :/. I may make an exception if the person in question has been rude to me or others earlier. But if it's a stranger, or if I can't remember him/her ever being rude, then I'd give it without any doubt ^^
  6. The reward for that quest is an Emerald and like 500gp, the losses of stupid people outweigh that. still, it's a quest where you're meant to smuggle it out ;). So you shouldn't be allowed to bank it, it shouldn't necessarily explode either though...
  7. Meh, if other sites can get it done, and clearly not losing money(since draynor.net has been around for years), then why can't tipit? Anyway, there was no way that you could compete to draynor imho, but if they're not coming back, it's worth reconsidering :/
  8. the chaos altar has been mapped by tipit ;) http://tip.it/runescape/map2/chaos_altar.png
  9. If it's a Tip.It chat it should be created by a tipit official, period. If they have no intention of doing so, then you could use your own...
  10. Before RC was out I mostly smithed and sold whatever I made to the general store, I was up to most of the steel items when I found out about essence mining. So I did that for a while, and then decided to merchant them, I thought I was very clever :). Untill I got scammed, lost 2K ess which was all I had merchanted together, haven't merchanted since and am not planning on doing so ^^.
  11. Tekilla, you're right about the god/God thing. But I don't think this was a truthfully based article ;). It's merely a fun read, that gives a different view on things. Not everyone knows everything we know, it wouldn't hurt to realise that once in a while. I think that's the message behind Scaredy-Cat's adventures, and I think that's a great way to go in against the sudden criticism directed towards the so called LeetSpeaking Immature 5 year old noob population.
  12. It was a nice read :). Nothing more, nothing less ^^ Good job!
  13. Welcome to runescape Sleek, silent and furry. Welcome to runescape This would be worth more cut. Welcome to runescape Handle with care.
  14. swamp tar? There's loads of them, but if you just alch and stand by one spawn spot, it could be good. Item : Swamp tar Location : Lumbridge swamps
  15. what's with all the negativism? Let's give jagex some credit here :s. It's as if this update is doomed to fail, what on earth makes you think that? Even if it's some sort of "plain" ingame chat, it's still a good addition which brings RS a small step closer to the other MMORPG's (I'm talking about the higher graphical games, such as WoW, GW,...). And for the censor, I think it works quite fine. The words I use rarely are nor need to be censored anyway. If your language however does often trigger the censor, perhaps you should take a second or 2 to think about who really is that "5 year old" ;) ?
  16. You can always do it the easy way, if you have a PS3 ofcourse. Which basicaly means : use the browser to play RS :| Havn't tried it yet, so perhaps it won't work, but it should, and there's probably a way around this already :).
  17. Me too :(. Would be awesome :( Add me to that list as well :(
  18. I second killmenub here... If the person pays for the services he uses(which everyone does, let's assume that none of the top RS'ers actually live illegally), then that's paying back to society. He is fulfilling his duty to the society by respecting it laws, and society benefits from him through taxes. Very few jobs directly benefit society anyway, if you hire me to mown your lawn or if I hire you to be my lawyer, there are no benefiters apart from the parties involved. And all we give "back" to society are our taxes... Now a little less serious. There are some jobs that would allow mindless days of scaping, on the job. What about a nightguard in a parking lot?
  19. It's surprising how half of the "luckiest days" seem to involve people quitting, I always considered that to be a quite sad occasion... Anyway, my luckiest day in terms of when I got a lucky drop or reward I didn't count on, that must be the day I got a Guthans Helm from barrows, I did 100+ runs and I only got Dharok Legs before, so I was quite pleased with that. Only 2 drops I've ever had though :( Now my luckiest day as in when I felt the happiest, that probably was when somebody led me to a cow and gave me a bucket and told me to milk it. That's how I got the final ingredient to finish my very first quest on the day I started playing, Cooking Assistant. Thank you kind man/woman, whoever you were! Also I'lld count in the day I finished the Legend's quest, when I became a member, or when I got all 60's at 89 cbt, or 1400 total a little while later (all before Construction). There are endless more levels that I worked towards for often weeks, and have dreamed of for literally years. 76 Fishing, 75 woodcutting, 70 ranged,... Ah good times :)
  20. ppjt, if you want to submit your correction, just leave out the ' in Seer's ring, then it should just be sent in. This problem can be easily solved by adding addslashes($input) in the script, shouldn't take more then a minute :). And Jard_Y_Dooku, it's not THAT big a deal :s. Just something that slipped the mind of the creator, I'm sure he's perfectly capable of fixing it, and there is NO need to be all negative about it :S. For a minute it seemed as if you were suggesting that tipit did a horrible job, surely, it wasn't meant like that?
  21. Perhaps what I'm about to say has already been said in the topic, but forgive me, I have not time to read them all through... I'm sorry but this is just unacceptable. It's almost impossible for me to believe that anyone these days, especially someone who is clearly involved in such a modern thing as an MMO, can negate the importance of typing. Nearly everyone who is growing up nowadays, will own a computer at some point in his life. There's no point denying it. It's the same as with cars 50 years ago. They firstly were for the rich, but now the average family owns 2 cars, perhaps even more. Computers have already passed that stage, they are already here for everyone. Which makes it even harder to believe that "typing" is of little importance... I don't think you realise that everyone at some point in his life will have to start typing. For some professions, I aggree, it's not needed. People who work in factories, fishermen, truck drivers,... But on the other hand, every manager in EVERY company, all accountants, bankers, ... all use their computer for their jobs on a daily basis. A close friend of mine is an accountant, and he claims to win about an hour of time by typing fast. It's just ridiculous to claim that only secretaries should know how to type, because only they need to. In my opinion it is quite the oposite. If you want to make somewhat of a carreer in the modern world; a good typing skill is vital. Apart from that, I find the article a bit far fetched as well. Also, you mention that you can learn you history, but is the point of history that the battleaxe has 2 bladed edges? Or that the mongols raided asia and europe... And then again, who sais that jagex' interpretation is correct? Where do you have to draw the line between reality and fantasy inside the game? Can you even speak of reality inside a game? Runescape has learnt me more about communication, social relationships, helping eachother out, making transactions. Farming thought me how to plan my trips and how a good planning and timing can mean high productivity. MTK teaches me that by making an effort to keep your people happy, also means a higher productivity. Trading taught me to keep my eyes wide open, and never blindely trust a stranger. Those are things that I experienced in this game. I don't need runescape to teach me maths, history or typing, I've got school for that ;)
  22. ctrl + alt + p pulses to :). You can change the shortcut elsewhere. ANd a double click on the icon should do it to. The icon turns into a green smiley lookalike for a few miliseconds when you're pulsing, that way you can check if it's working...
