  1. We are brothers. What links us together? Well, your location is Hungary, and I'm assuming he is from Hungary too. I have nothing more useful to add to to this...uh...very useful thread. -.-
  2. Where you being sarcastic or horrendously stereotypical?
  3. I'm not sure if I agree with the whole punishment. Who walks up to random women and talks to them anyway? Coupled with the fact that the punishment can't be reliably enforced, it just seems like "don't do it again" verbal scolding. But the sex offenders programme would be pretty embarrassing, and will get the message into his head.
  4. Yea, they don't really want ancient games. The max they can sell these ps1 games for would be 2-3 bucks. I never trade in games, it's a waste of cash to buy a game and sell it back for a 1/100 of what you bought it for.
  5. WE would go hunting King Black Scrooges, Queen Mermaids and Tz-Tok Ducks. It couldn't be too bad.

I wud advise sticking with an msb for pking or anywhere u mite lose it. I hear the dark bow has a wicked spec that KOs easily, so u mite want to get it if ur not afraid of losing it. Stay away from the magic comp.
  7. If this in anyway reduces goldfarming, I'm happy.
  8. Remember that ESRB is only valid in the US and Canada. Being a British company, Jagex doesn't abide by their rules. Perhaps a British videogame rating company would have equivalent ratings. But let's look at the points you made Technically there is, so ok. You mean the red damage splotches? That hardly counts as "blood". I have to disagree on this one. Definitely this one, its the heart of runescape. But still, not enough for a T rating. I don't think you knew that decapitation meant "cutting off a person's head", which doesn't happen in runescape. And as far as I'm know crawling hands are already dismembered before you kill them. I always wondered why they say this; doesn't make much sense to me. And more importantly, you can't play runescape offline, only online. So what's the point of looking for this? I think T and M would be too harsh for runescape, which is just a cartoony, childish game meant to appeal to a wide audience. It's sad that Jagex is forced to put the 13+ sticker on Runescape just because immature losers decide to curse their brains out here and ruin the game for everyone. Anyway, I would give Rs a E10, i think its fair.
  9. Technically this won't be a problem to Jagex: they're getting good 5 bucks for each autoer. And all this is unlikely to happen, none of them are profitable in any way (Jad doesn't give profits at all). Kq and metal dragons maybe so, but just not reliable enough as yews and rune ess.
  10. I caught the red-ring disease too. I knew I would when you sneezed!
  11. Halo 2, and NFS: Underground.
  12. I thought they were just releasing new hairstyles and clothing, not changing the entire player model.
  13. Well, C++ is the programming language, it must be pretty bad if you have a error with that. Try re-installing it, that's all I'm good for. -.-
  14. yeh the 20 gig 1's ? thats worst idea ever They're replacing it with another version with more harddrive space. Plus the price cut. -.-
  15. Well, bards sing and play instruments. Logically the bard skill involves hunting kittens.
  16. I dunno if I'm allowed to post, I couldn't find the theory. I fail to see what sitting in chairs has to do with the bard skill. I also fail to see what Runescape months has to do with the release of such a skill. And either I'm bad at math, or someone else is, but I fail to see what all these random numbers has to do with being an apple sauce-coated psychotic dolphin. :-k
  17. No worries about getting one-hitted in f2p though! But i get your point. Soon, the only way to survive in the wilderness is to not go in it. Either that, or stay a lvl 3 forever. Your call. :-w
  18. Believe me, Eragon did not rip off Tolkien. Paulini has probably strayed as far off from the Tolkien-fantasy template as possible (seeing how 99% of fantasy books somehow infringes on Tolkien's realm). If you want to know what Eragon looks suspiciously like, read the Star Wars Original Trilogy. Then read Eragon. The similarities will jump out at you. As for good fantasy books, I would recommend: -Any Eoin Colfer book. His books are easy to read, but still fun. Best place to start would be the Artemis Fowl series. -Try the Bartimaeus Trilogy. I liked it, although it's not the nice, cute world of magic Harry Potter lives in. It's a little bit more grim. -His Dark Materials is an excellent read, although the scope of book expands incredibly from the first book, which is just the story of a certain child, to the second book which deals with good vs evil on the scale of the entire universe. And did you know they have a movie planned for the Golden Compass (December 7, 2007)?
  19. Why do so many believe the 360 is "at the end of its race"? Is it because the PS3 finally has some good games on the horizon, and thus the 360 logically is done for? Reminder: the 360 has a better install-base than the ps3, and even though the ps3 has some good games in the future, the 360 has much more for it coming up soon. I would expect 360 profits to sky rocket by November, since a lot of the blockbuster titles will release by then, as well as the rumored price cut. And it isn't as if they're all over, they 360 still has games scheduled, and will continue getting them far into the future. It's not to say the ps3 doesn't stand a chance, of course it does. And the Wii may be selling well now, but the "wii-craze" will soon wear off, and then the Wii will fall short in the next gen wars.
  20. Exactly, no one seems to think about the fact that the actual world is only influenced by humans, while in runescape each race is at different tech eras. So take out the gliders, cannons, coal trucks, and whatnot (all non-human things), and you'll see the humans in runescape are actually quite primitive. To put a date, it would be around 500-1000 AD, seeing that the most advanced thing the Humans have is running water. On the other hand, the dwarves have everything from blast furnaces to fully automatic repeating-cannons. They would be somewhere between the 1700's to 1900's. Gnomes would be 1200-1500s, Elves around the same as Humans, and Trolls and Ogres in the Triassic period. The humans have cannons, you just can't use them. They are, as I said earlier, around late 1400s to early 1500s (early Renaissance). Also, their conventional weaponry is far more advanced than in the 500-1000 era. Longbows and plate armor didn't appear until the 1200s, and crossbows the 1300s. I would place the dwarves at the late 1600s. Also, I haven't seen anyone try to determine Runescape's time period politically. During the Middle Ages, most of Europe was using the feudal system. Feudalism ended in the 1400s. It is clear that the feudal system is not in use in Runescape, as the only sign of it is Draynor Manor, which is abandoned. I forgot about those cannons sitting on the walls. Maybe around the 1200's-1300's then. As for plate armor, it existed back in Ancient Greece and Rome. Longbows were ancient design too, just got popularized by the English Longbowmen. But crossbows were medieval, so it may be a marker for the time period of runescape. Actually, there are traces of feudalism. Lumbridge is a "vassal" of Varrok (i read that somewhere), and there are various classes of the npc's (farmers, knights, duke, king, etc).
  21. They are trying to get info on how to better market runescape to f2p, who make a large percent of the rs community. It is the natural thing to do, jagex isn't a day care company, they're a business trying to make money. What do you want from their lives? Look at it this way: if jagex actually let f2p decide on an in-game update, 90% of the p2p community would start yelling "they don't pay". If they don't let the f2p do anything decisive, they STILL get people complaining and bad-mouthing them. What do you want from them? And contrary to prankster king's ridiculous statement, they aren't money [seekers], they're doing the smart thing: making more members.
  22. Remember when the loss of 1k meant the world to you? :boohoo: Remember the game before hunter, farming and construction? :-k Remember what Falador/Varrok looked like before the graphical update? (I don't)
  23. Still plenty of older monsters that need updating. Besides, why do experiments need updating? They look fine to me (unless you're saying they don't match with real animals).

The fact that BioWare is the developer is enough reason for me to get it. On my 360 that is, my PC doesn't have nearly enough specs to run solitaire.
  25. Remember that the ps3 has much better hardware than the 360, and much more so than the Wii. As a result, it will age easier than the other two, being able to outperform either system when more advanced software comes out. If the 360 and Wii don't stomp out the ps3 when they have the lead (now), they might find themselves in a tough fight once their software support starts looking weak. It's only a possibility though, I'm a 360 fan myself.
