Everyone is at different places in their lives. I'm not going to judge someone for no-lifing because I have been there before, for several reasons. That isn't how I play anymore, but I'm not going to look down on someone for doing it considering the stats/quests/items/wealth I have has all been done in two years. To each his own.

Exactly what I was thinking - with the wilderness long gone they need stable new media to entice people to start playing, keep playing, and ultimately upgrade to p2p. Would you guys drop this already? Seriously. It's 9 months later, this is starting to be ridiculously pathetic. Any company, any video game wants MORE PLAYERS, despite any updates or players quitting or players coming into the game. FTP got the Rune crafting guild because Jagex decided they should. Maybe it's the last of the recent FTP updates, maybe there's more to come. Personally, I think ofrah's theory is the correct one.

As I mentioned earlier, it hardly surprises me that people have this as one of their common misconceptions of many monsters and slayer monsters that are not commonly slayed. Praying range will never prevent the damage from them seeing as how they DO NOT HAVE A RANGED ATTACK. Merely their breath attack and their melee attack. I'm not so sure. Every time that I have safe spotted them, what I need to do is get pretty far away and ranged protect in order to not take any damage until they are unagressive. With mage, melee or no protection prayer on, you will get damaged. Take that for what it is or whatever it means.

I wouldn't say I knew about the breath attacks, but I will say my friend and I tried all the different prays, and nothing seemed to really work better than the other.

Are you trying to be satirical? Or are you just venting and complaining about generalized vague stereotypes while hypocritically making the forums worse? I don't get it. Just so you know, it's not the Tip it community. It's the entire online community. Anyone who gets to say anything and everything they want with 0 regard for the consequence can say anything and not worry. I don't think you read the initial post.. or really understand what this thread is about.. OT: I despise any pures or "skillers". No exceptions, not even if it was my best friend or my mother. "Skillers": Take a break from the game if you're bored. Doing the SAME EXACT THINGS YOU'RE BORED FROM but at a lower level does not cure boredom, it just temporarily prolongs it. Doing them with lesser combats doesn't make it any better. Please, stop. "Pures": There's no point in slandering these pitiful creatures unless Jagex comes out with a 1vs1 minigame kind of like how the old wilderness was set up where you could take advantage of the combat level limitations. But yes, stop.

That's unbelievable luck for the amount of kills you had. Probably the best $ to kill ratio ever... considering any of the huge drop pictures were from a TON of kills. Congrats.

I think I'll probably still end up ranging. Less chance for lag out deaths the better.

Damn I need to finish range and get back to the race ASAP! I'll tally up the scores right now for the up to date scoring.

Around 400k more exp til 99 ranging, then i'll prolly get back to the race with melees :)
