Game-engine Improvements by Andrew 11-Jun-2009
Interesting; at least they have come clean with us. But he says nobody has been banned, is this true?

TiF Emotes
If they are there, they will be used. They are not NEEDED as such, but at least they would be useful to some people. I don't see a huge reason why not; apart from server bandwidth and space, which I don't think is too much of a problem in this case.

New Rest Pictures for Agility Guide (Complete)
Very nice! I'm sure these would look great on Tip.It :

9th June 2009 - Run Energy Update / Patch Notes
Jagex didn't think this one through. I haven't seen much mention of the new Summoning icon or the new music at rest areas though. :|

9th June 2009 - Run Energy Update / Patch Notes
The glitch/big has really dominated the huge feature of resting that Jagex added and were going on about with DevBlogs and so on. I wonder if, now that Jagex are more open to players and fansites, that they will actually tell us what went wrong. They will probably pretend it never happened though.

9th June 2009 - Run Energy Update / Patch Notes
It is true that this was more a bug abuse glitch. People who are either at a advantage or disadvantage are those who abuse the bugs. For everyone else who is sensible enough, it was just a glitched game that they would not enjoy playing until it was fixed.

Are you a lazy Grand Exchanger?
If I want a quick buy or sell, then yeah. But if I'm looking to make some good money, then I'll find a better price. And shouldn't this be in the Questionnaires subforum?
-
Are you self suffcient?
Well, where I can't afford something, I'll be self-sufficient (ie. all those Cosmics for 99 Mage). But mostly I'd prefer a quick buy on GE. However, if it's training a skill, then I may try link the two things I need together.

Another weblayout...from da heart
I think the bevel's could look perfectly fine if the drop shadow was turned down a bit, and the background was changed slightly. No reason to rule out using bevels completely in Web Design. Anything is possible :) .

Special Attack pictures - UPDATE 24-AUG-2009
Indeed :| It's proving more hassle than anticipated, and I'm coming to realise that one well-captured .png does the job just fine!

iPhone or iPod app
Tip.It already has quite an advanced back-end, so there probably won't be a move over to another platform, even though it is quite possible. Most of Tip.It is 'in-house', just like RuneScape :) .

Another weblayout...from da heart
Pretty nice, not sure about the drop shadow on the text, and perhaps lighten up the background a bit with a gradient? The tab navigaton would work well, but perhaps the boxes need their own background colour.

101 Suggestions, #19 (again), #20, and #21.
Very well done images, and great suggestions. I definitely support most. Hopefully Jagex take a look at this :)

Porfolio re-imaging: SITE PREVIEW IS UP WITH DOCK
Extremely possible, I believe that for the effects that you wish to have, lightbox uses either a rel="lightbox" or similar, or can be setup in its function to only apply to a certain selector (such as #portfolio1 or .images). Therefore you can use it in this sort of way: or However, the documentation of whatever plugin you are using should explain it in more detail. But yes, it is definitely possible to combine jQuery effects.

Special Attack pictures - UPDATE 24-AUG-2009
Toast, I can try and compress some down to size if you want. The Vesta's Longsword special ( I don't think it's in the Combat guide), called Feint: 24.7KB It's up to Toast if he wishes for that to be used in the guide.

Of course, I understand. I've updated the post, and edited the gif and managed to squeeze out a few more kB's ;). Will post some more soon hopefully, glad I can help.

Porfolio re-imaging: SITE PREVIEW IS UP WITH DOCK
Hey, I've never really heard, or experimented, with the dojo library, so I can't really say much about it. However, I know it is pretty easy to have this MacOS Dock style menu using jQuery. Furthermore, since jQuery is so much more popular, and quite powerful and versatile, you may find other uses for it ;). These two sites give you a nice overview of how to implement it. http://www.wizzud.com/jqDock/ (Tells you everything you need to know - menu at top of page) http://nettuts.com/javascript-ajax/leop ... ng-jqdock/ (Explains some extra cool stuff too) I know you said you want to use dojo, but I would personally use jQuery due to how popular it is, and therefore the amount of useful plugins available for it.

Mod Mat K & Manipulator clans Debate
I don't see what the fuss is all about. I doubt Jagex is manipulating prices. They have created a GE system which some understand well and use to their advantage. These clans do what they want to do, and I'm sure Jagex won't bring a rule to ban Merchanting clans. I'm not too bothered really. But of course, it would be pretty cool if someone like MMG is sitting at home and clicking a down arrow to make things cheaper \

TiF Emotes
Anyway, I've had these for a while (can't remember what I used them for beforehand; probably some signature...); I know that they aren't all consistent in shape and size, but meh. ;) You can download the whole pack here: http://Mil-an.co.uk/files/runescape.icons.cropped.zip These probably won't get too much use in posts and so on, the only places where I could see them being used is Blogscape and Rate This. Of course, people may find it useful in signatures, but I am guessing not as much due to Tip.It's, and other sites', Stat Signatures. Use it if you wish; I have had them lying around cropped on my computer. I am pretty sure that all of the icons are from RuneScape.com, with the combat icon coming from Tip.It - all I have done is cropped them (I think - I can't really remember when ).

Need HTML help
Ah, I believe you may have used Photoshop's save for web and devices tool? If so, don't use it! Of course, the design is great, you should really just start the coding part over again. You have got most of the images sliced correctly, but for the menu, save each word as it's own image, or just don't save it at all and use plain text (HTML). I don't know how much exactly you know of XHTML/CSS, so I won't treat you like you have no knowledge ;) For the background repeat you wanted; The CSS for it would be: body { background:url(http://example.com/image/) #000000 repeat scroll 0 0; } It's pretty self-explanatory; find more detail on CSS in links below. It's quite hard to explain how to do everything correctly here, so I'm going to link to some useful guides that you may find handy  (no pun intended). Design and Code a Slick Website from Scratch Part I Design and Code a Slick Website from Scratch Part II Coding a Clean Web 2.0 Style Web Design from Photoshop 30 HTML Best Practices for Beginners How to Convert a Photoshop Mockup to XHTML/CSS HTML & CSS - The VERY Basics There are more that I could link to, but it's just important right now to understand the structure of websites, and understand how it works. Hope I could have helped .

Special Attack pictures - UPDATE 24-AUG-2009
DDS Special: I know it's slightly large (27.7KB), but not that much bigger. Was quite difficult to shrink down to size, hopefully it doesn't compromise the .gif too much. If you could credit Limewire54, as these are his original .gif's that he is recording for me to compress down to size. If I could have my name in the credits changed to Mil, I'd be more than grateful. I shall edit this post as soon as the other .gifs are ready. Edit: 23.0KB If you could credit me as Mil (not Mil_Odedra), and also Limewire54, as he kindly provided the original video clip.

Special Attack pictures - UPDATE 24-AUG-2009
Ah, I see. I didn't check that. Surely a similar thing can be done with Special Attacks? This would allow for High Detail .gif's around the 100KB file size (as in Skill cape guide) of a high quality, while also keeping bandwidth usage down.

Special Attack pictures - UPDATE 24-AUG-2009
Yeah, I guess that if file size is such a huge issue that animated .gif's is a bad idea. But then again it's really the quality of the guide versus file size...If you try to keep the file size down, it may start to affect how good the guide can actually be. But in this case, a .png shows Special Attacks just fine, so it's not applicable to this guide. Here is the Standard Detail gif: I'm sure it is possible to get the High Detail gif under 25KB, but no point having such a washed out High Detail .gif if you can have Standard Detail at a higher quality. Both .gif's with thanks to Limewire54
