  1. Did they forget they released slayer rings? I rather it was on the ring itself. I carry a ring around not a gem.. If I was able to use this feature it would be great. Not for an extra inventory space/replace ring for the gem though. Also I really hope they make 2000 skill total worlds. I dont expect more than that since it is a dedicated server. Either way im not impressed by 1000. Try 1500 atleast. I got a new friend (In rs that is) who only started couple months ago and she is nearly 1000 already. 1500 is a bit more worth while if your going to bother making such worlds. Agreed. 2000 worlds would be sweet. Just one of them would be awesome.

    Lag

Yep exactly the same. I can also "stack" input. so cleaning herbs for example will all clean eventually. I am with Virgin on the National Access package.
  3. The Whip:Godsword hit ratio is 3:2, NOT 3:1. Sorry, that was a typo. I'm aware that it's 3:2. But it has been shown that whip has higher DPS. It really is down to luck. I prefer a godsword on high HP monsters like Dark Beast's or Abby Demons, purely because you can hit so much higher, its worth sacrificing a hit if you get 2 55's as opposed to 3 30s. You are more likely to hit high twice in a row than you are thrice in a row so it makes it worthwhile. However, yes, sometimes I am beaten by a whip/def. So it's all luck. Obviously if you are hitting low HP monsters then whip/def is better.

    Lag

OK I am no dummy when it comes to comes to computers but this issue is beyond me. The basic issue is Runescape lags, for no real reason, at random times. So bad is the lag, I can't do anything except woodcutting where I can idle it. It isn't just regular lag either, I will lose connection, then re-connect almost continually. Odd thing is everything else is fine. Downloads, web browsing, streaming, World of Warcraft, everthing except Runescape. www.speedtest.net Tells me I am getting over 4MB download speed, and it also says the ping test is excellent. To make sure I rang my ISP who says there are no issues with my connection, a fact I can confirm as only Runescape has this issue. My computer is 6 months old, Triple Core AMD 8550 2.2gz CPU, 3GB RAM, Geforce 9200 graphics and has masses of free HDD space. It is also running the most up to date Java and is virus and spyware free. It appears other people have this issue browsing the RSOF but no one seems to have any ideas how to remedy it. It sometimes is OK. Friday for example my usual worlds lagged but a Canadian server was totally lag free. Seeing as I live in the UK this is pretty bizarre. However now, that same server is laggy (although still not as bad as the UK ones) i don't think the servers are the issue, my friends from The Netherlands are fine, no issues at all. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it! Thanks
  5. Pray melee so wear proselyte. They only mage if you attack them (they are always aggro) so you never get hit as long as you let them get the first hit. They are weak to slash and have a lot of HP so a godsword on slash is marginally better than a whip/def combi here. I use a BoB to carry pots so I can go whole trip without banking, a lot easier with the new teleport after Within The Light, and yes it gives both options.
  6. I have max melee and 92 magic and still struggle. I can suffice with a unicorn, just. Still need to carry a prayer pot just in case. Best bet is a block.
  7. I need 1 fishing level but can pot that probably. 11 smithing levels is going to be a chore though...
  8. Temple of Light. Drops you right at the dead slave. Makes Dark Beasts so much easier. Is Mourner gear required still?
  9. Few other tips on the cannon in BA The collecter should NEVER fire the cannon. They get extra points for every egg collected, so as long as there's things dying there's eggs to collect, and points to be had. Never fire at a poison egg at a poisoned healer. Reason being the healers poison is more than the eggs poison and in firing the egg poison you reset the healer's poison. Better to hit 6's than 2's. In early rounds the duplicate role can man the cannon all the time. Handy if there a collector but it isn't essential. Makes the rounds end a little quicker. Obviously stay alert to the failings of the team and switch roles and cannon use as and when needed.

  11. ...That, while many people still believe so, using the Egg Launching Cannon in Barbarian Assault does NOT cost any points? The most costly is to let Penance Runners reach the exit and escape. Being the Defender is therefor the hardest job, and often teams have double Defenders in all but the last round. - Thanks Tal Shiar! Not 100% true. Defender is a piece of cake, just most people can't do it right. Start from the pool and run to the east trap dropping as you go. Dropping the wrong food makes no difference in points, defenders only lose points from runners past. Basically you've just made yourself a wall of food. Drop the rest of the food on the trap and go grab the logs and hammer. Now go get more bait and repeat above, but use a different diagonal to the east trap. Don't worry about the west one, it's never used. This works because when a runner hits the wrong type of food, he just runs North a few steps. Keep building barricades of food, and repairing the trap when need be. The defender does need to call, but doesn't need a call to be given to them. Therefore if you are on a good team who know the roles well the healer can also do there job much better as they needn't call. You can 100% the waves with no runner losses with a single level 1 defender. You just need the right defender

Yes, do read this guide. It's excellent. http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=113&t=803731 This guide is awesome, but it's about points, not XP. I don't care about points. I just want the max possible XP per week.
  15. It isn't a bug, it's logic. You put the Beacon Network on high alert during Defender of Varrock. They don't just forget about it because you've gone off to do something else! and again, DoV isn't that hard to finish, you can do it in an hour easily.

See I was told repeating a thing earned you no points. If that is the case wouldn't it be better to run from 99, 90, 80 etc.? But then do I emote in between? Also agility seems tricky as it has 2 level denominators, the act and then the juggle. I also heard juggling only gives XP once. So confusing! Also I will never want the costumes. My fav outfit is desert robes
  17. If you just want slayer points and not XP, which before you get the helm is probably advisable then do this: Tasks 1-9 use a low slayer master but not the Burthorpe one. I used the Canifis one. Task 10 use Duradel/Lapalok. Tasks 11-19 use the lower master again. Task 20 use Duradel/Lapalok You end up doing a few more tasks, but the points will flood in as the majority of your tasks will be over in 15-20mins. If you are serious about slayer then you want to ban monsters as you go, this taking priority over the helm, although it is highly unlikely you will get a task you wish to ban on the few you do for the Shilo master. I'd say ban iron and steel dragons as a definite. The other 2 are your choice but I'd advise Warped Terrorbirds (also seems to ban Tortoises) and probably Skelly Wyverns. After the helm, get the rings. They may seem naff but the teleport to the desert and the teleport to a fairy ring (Relleka slayer cave) do come in handy for non-slayer things. Treasure trails and quests etc. The fletching ability isn't really useful but I'd get it for the sake of completion. Don't get it before you get the bans/helm/rings though. After that use the points for slayer dart runes. I make a fortune out of this, but I am a hardcore slayer. Even if you are casual it's a nice bonus. I'd also advise leaving 60 or 90 points spare just in case you want a skip a task. For example if it's peak times I will skip hellhounds as they get packed, however if they are not packed they are a source of fast XP.
  18. Well to be honest it makes perfect sense and shows that things are linked. If it was real life you wouldn't able to do it so I don't see the issue in not being able to do it in game. DoV is easy anyway so it really isn't that big a deal to finish it up.
  19. For regular use then use a pray pot. The Holy Wrench isn't worth carrying with you, better off using the inven slot for an extra prayer potion. Super restores are only really used to renew stats, usually after a sara brew, but also in PvP after someone uses there BGS spec on you. They are also used to renew summoning points at far off training spots. For example Dark Beasts.

They were not nerfed, just the engine got updated which changed the way the monsters behaved.

So I hear the XP is good but am struggling to find a guide which lists the best way to do it from an XP point of view. Lots of guides about how to get max points, but I don't care about the clothing, I just want the lovely XP. So is there a guide anywhere which tells me the best way to go about this? Ta
  22. I'd take a stab in the dark at 10% I would hope Jagex bumps the stats of the Adze up to that of a dragon pick. After all why be dragon hatchet but only rune pick? Maybe they are waiting for the rush to die down first. I certainly won't be getting a dragon pick.
  23. Not done it since the update but I used to be able to do a tortoise and my own inven on one set of marras.
  24. Black salamander and whip works for me.
  25. Normal slayer gear with a zammy cape is my preferred setup. Use the ones in the zammy part. As you enter pro melee and run north.
