  1. How do you compare blindness with being gay? You can become blind but you can't become gay so there's a difference right there. Blindness is a physical malfunction while being gay is not physical. So because they have a different sexual orientation they are unable to preform their duties as a human being? Not quite.
  2. The more I think about a a train being stopped by a snowman of all things the more I just laugh  Then there's the rock issue. So was this more of an 'innocent prank' or a genuine attempt to hurt others as well as vandalize the train?
  3. Ok this is going to be no help at all but I have done almost exactly the same thing. From being the quiet "normal" (and geeky in my case) guy that's just "there" and doesn't try to get too much attention to the outgoing warm confident and social party-goer who improvises his own dance moves. I believe that, actually, it's not necessarily about changing your personality or who you are, it's just that you're maturing as a person. One of the times where I really changed was when I went to high-school prom. I went just because I didn't want to miss out on the experience but none of my close friends were going so I was kinda stranded. That really put my social skills to the test and all of a sudden I had people asking me "hey, how come I don't see you going out much" or "I didn't know you were a party person". Felt great. Then, this past fall I went to various social events at school and started going out to bars. Relationships and dating is the obvious next step. So anyways, moral of the story is that social gatherings of ANY kind (not limited to clubs/bars) open you up socially. Now let's see if I can provide something useful: What I've noticed about school is that people are constantly weighed down by schoolwork and assignments. Now a lot of people and mostly girls seem to be (in my experience) not too social during the schoolday. It's not like they don't talk but they are less open. Where this changes is at parties or bars where everyone doesn't care about school/work, have no more pressure and simply want to have fun. Wanna socialize more with girls? Go out to parties or any activities when they aren't burdened by work. Depending on circumstances she might not be ready for a relationship right away. Ask her out. The only difficulty would be the awkwardness around your friend. Now out of the 3 it sounds like she would be the ideal. Try and go out to parties where she is
  4. So you clearly don't know what comparative advantage is. It's when you do something that has the least opportunity cost. Having a low income still gives you options therefore there is no good reason to be self-sufficient. You do what you are best at doing (or for low levels, what you are least bad at doing). The only person who is better off being self-sufficient is the person who sucks at absolutely everything. It sounded more like he was saying that it was not comparative advantage and it was, instead, efficiency. I merely corrected that to say that they are both, in fact, related.
  5. is 99.9% removal of all autoers not enough to please you?
  6. To solo armadyl you need to have good dancing skills. For that reason I hold nothing against the dancing around monsters
  7. That's because idiots are trying pathetically hard to corner the market. Has nothing to do with autoers.
  8. Forget comparative advantage. Ever heard of efficiency? Just imagine trying to get to 99 runecrafting by mining your own pure essence. That would be a collosal waste of time. Efficiency is the result of comparative advantage.
  9. Being 100% self-sufficient is a phenomenal waste of time and quite frankly it's nothing to be proud of. Ever heard of comparative advantage?
  10. No, they are not stupid. the whole point of the GE upper and lower limits are to go above and below the equilibrium price so that the market price is NOT affected. When the equilibrium shifts (as it has), the price has to be adjusted so that it doesn't create a shortage/surplus
  11. They difference is what the views are. Religious views are viciously discriminatory targeted towards a specific group of people while gay rights views are seeking for equality. Notice how I didn't say that I sided for gays. I'm not a fan of extremists in general and I don't like the extremists on the other side enforcing their views on people. However, religious extremists take it way farther than gay right extremists Correct, that's completely besides the point I'm bashing religious extremists, not religion.
  12. I don't have anything against gays but I do have something against religious fanatics who enforce their views upon others so much. It's just a stupid fear of all that is unnatural or "not normal".
  13. in the first one you were taunting him in the second you called him a noob. Why couldn't you just ignore them?
  14. It doesn't sound sarcastic or ironic at all :|
  15. It's obvious. Rares have been going down because people's incomes have been going down. I'm sick of explaining income elasticity of demand for luxury goods.
  16. First off, no that's not a nerd/geek. A nerd/geek is someone who is focused upon ONE thing (with some exceptions). So it could be someone who is focused on academics just like it could be someone focused on star trek or someone completely obsessed with video games. Why the social outcast thing? Because the nerd prefers doing whatever he does with his obsession at the cost of a social life. Second off, (and I'm just going to spell it out for people because I'm sick of trying a more subtle approach) stereotypes are only extreme representations of people! They are not people, they are pathetic labels that we place on people based off of a tiny bit of evidence. This obviously means that stereotypes are going to be extreme and very often they are going to be mistaken (because we are all different). Wrong. "get a life" means "stop doing only one activity and go do something more social where you connect with real people". If someone is willing to break away from their online game to go connect with people then how can they be considered a nerd aka someone who just focuses only on ONE activity?
  17. I looked at the comment and knew exactly what was going to happen but it still startled me -.-
  18. Then what exactly makes those people geeks/nerds? It means that being a geek/nerd doesn't go hand in hand with 'social outcast'. Or maybe (and what I implied in my previous post) it could mean that people don't fit the stereotypes perfectly. Nerds/geek and social outcasts do go hand in hand, why do you think the most common insult is "get a (social) life"?
  19. To futher add to Will's points, how do you think the customers are going to feel when they loggin their account to see that it's been banned for having autoed on before?
  20. Ok that does make sense but only to a certain extent. What about all the specific qualities that people have like those who are "naturals" at pickup up women. They all seem to work reguardless of the woman's "type" and they all have something to do with confidence. Now I believe that protecting someone (within reason, because obviously anything can be done in excess and be irritating which explains why it would repulse someone) is one of those traits is it not? Edit: Oh and I highly doubt that Goddess lacks protective qualities  :
  21. there's no way autoers cover the price from 90-160 gp especially due to the nature of the good.
