  1. Strongly, strongly disagree :P . have you seen the list of abilities? They are so cool and I am so getting them :D Meh, if it's worth it or not worth it I guess is a matter of opinion but there are still some extremely useful benefits That's right, they are not easy to get to. But the point I'm trying to make is that with a high summoning you could have your familiar out for while a while before you need to recharge. Maybe a future update, after all the trap next to GE is still "unknown" I think you greatly underestimate the matter. Do you realize what it would be like to hit an additional 18 damage? Sure on it's own it's not terrific and especially not compared to our combative abilities where I can hit double that much but the damage is cumulative therefore the affect is similar to if I was fighting at 150% of my normal abilities. That's quite a bit. If summons could hit as hard, if not harder, than we could then they would be pretty overpowered don't you think?
  2. agreed, that's why I moved onto Basilisks (which drop the color charm that i really need right now)
  3. Those will be re-adjusted those benefits are most certainly not "really small". Either use the fishing colony or put your house in taverly and teleport I agree but if this was the only challenge I would think this skill is fair. Problem is that this is combined with the ungodly cost of spirit shards. You can renew him many times. Incorrect, you can summon wherever you'd like but the familiars can only fight in multicombat, which makes sense. The basic ones start off around lvl 20 or so, that sounds perfectly reasonable, and then eventually they are over lvl 100. Let's wait till people start using the minotaurs who's special attack can hit pretty good.
  4. Having the "preparation" mentality is going to significantly reduce your chances of success, you have to just go for it, hope for the best and accept that if you get rejected there are plenty of fish in the sea.
  5. Yeah agreed, I mean even though the rest of their armor is clearly dragon why would the plate be. Probably just zamorak robes? no it isn't "clearly dragon". The helmet is a red version of guthan's helmet and the legs are different. The fact that they are already at ZMI totally discredits the possibility of a hint.
  6. Ok I'm back and I've updated the list as well as added some clarification
  7. I added what you guys came up with for the lest when there was ONE clear bias towards a particular color. I'll have to figure out some sort of quota later to seperate the accurate trials from the less accurate trials but for the moment I gotta catch some sleep. PS: Made it to 27 summoning :P shame, if I was to keep going I could have gotten rank #1! Oh well, i'll try tomorrow.
  8. Well done, I've got two questions 1. What monsters did you kill and what charms did you collect 2. Did you take any screenshots of your pm box?
  9. That's plausible but i haven't heard any confirmations
  10. I thought so too, until i came to the shadow warriors  So there seems to be an often "favored" color of charm
  11. Due to personal experience as well as some wandering around the RSOF, I noticed that certain monsters are good at dropping a certain color of charm. Like the fire giants drop a lot of gold one and as i have just noticed now, the shadow warriors drop a lot of crimson ones. The RSOF guys claim that baselisks are great green charm droppers as well. So what I've done now is compiled a table of the monsters who often drop a charm of a certain color. It should be noted that most (if not all) of the monsters below drop every color charm but seem to drop a certain color charm more often. The monsters are listed in terms of the charm color that they drop most frequently. My goal here is to figure out the most efficient way of obtaining charms (when i have a certain color that i want) NOTE: these are totally approximate since they are based on a number of limited trials and are subject to change frequently! Feel free to correct them if you have more accurate results Gold charm: Fire giants Ice giants Moss giants Ice warriors Jogres Hellhounds Infernal mages Green charm: Basilisks Baby Black dragons Bloodvelds Steel/Iron dragons Mithril dragons (Sets of 4) Jellies Abberant Specters Crimson charm: Rock lobsters (Sets of 2) Waterfiends Shadow warriors Greater demons Dust Devils Nechryael Daggonnoths (lvl 90 or lvl 88) Blue charm*: Kalphite soldier Gargoyle Obsidian charm: obsidian monsters (sets of 2) Abyssal charm: Abyssal Guardians Abyssal Walkers (sets of 2) Low-level charm-droppers (mostly gold unless stated otherwise): Cave Crawlers Rock Crabs Thugs Hill Giants Fire Elementals (mostly crimson) *: Since blue charms are a lot more rare than the other charms, the monsters here do drop not drop blue charms more frequently compared to their other color charm drops however they DO drop blue charms more frequently than the other monsters reported.
  12. It's not that bad, filled with good charm droppers so the idea behind summoning is that you use your familiar in order to obtain more charms
  13. a lot of people (like me) have charms banked so you can expect someone to come out with high summoning very fast
  14. Considering even granite crabs only give 21 exp, that's not really that good at all. At that rate, we're looking at a skill that's twice as slow to train than RuneCrafting. Yeah there are pouches that get great exp at higher levels, but require charms that seem to be very uncommon drops. If you look at all the inv pics of people hunting for them, you'll see quite a few (though still only worth one trip to the obelisk...) gold charms and like one of each of the others. Ok that's enough of the granite crabs, there are way better summons so 1 charm will be worth like 400-500 exp
  15. \ sounds like you're way too much of an early quitter
  16. Lemme take a wild guess: Kill abyssal dwellers
  17. Why would you use granite crabs to train? There's WAY better exp with later summons
  18. They will adjust them eventually, kinda surprising that you expected them to get it SPOT ON within, like, the first few hours of the release
  19. To get you started, here's a list of some creatures with a decent drop-rate for Summoning charms: * Fire giants * Ice giants * Ogres and jogres * Blue dragons From kb
  20. How the hell are we supposed to figure that out? All you're going to get here is a bunch of assumptions.
  21. Pathetic justification. Is it really the best you could come up with?

    WTF JAGEX!

:-s Uh, hello, They did say that it would come out this month so that's not even up for debate. Then they have a THIS current week in january circled in green on a calender in a picture in the Summoning dev diary 4 therefore it's pretty safe to assume that it will come out this week.
