  1. same here. Oh and the rares are just responding to changes in income. Them being widely considered luxury goods makes them very sensitive to changes. When GWD came out, partyhats all jumped by about 30mill because monster hunters were getting richer and when staking was destroyed, the staker's income fell, and the partyhats fell by a huge amount. Want them to increase by a lot? People need to get richer.
  2. Wow, looks like someone needs to present the REAL definition of inflation Inflation: A sustained rise in the price of all items OR a decrease in the value of a currency. So there are three misconceptions in this thread alone (and it's why I HATE when people try and prove that there is inflation  ) First of all, the thread author doesn't know what he's talking about. Inflation is when there is an INCREASE in the price of items, not a decrease Second of all, to the people debating on page 1. Yes it can be defined an increase in the price of items, but it can also be defined as a decrease in the value of a currency, because when a currency is worth a lot less, it takes more of that currency to buy items. Third, there is absolutely NO proof of deflation here either. Inflation (or deflation) have to do with the change in price OF ALL GOODS in an economy. You cannot demonstrate that there is inflation/deflation in an economy by just demonstrating a change in price for ONE good, you must do it for all goods in an economy. Now, the reason why I doubt there is any deflation now is that while luxury items have decreased due to staking being killed, items such as barrows have increased in price. There are tons of goods that fit neither these two categories, and they all remain unaffected. All we have here is a change in price in response to the duel arena change. Stop making exaggerated theories about how the price might crash. Now for individual responses What the hell? One gp doesnt remain one gp if the value of one gp changes. If it takes more time to get 1 gp, it will be worth more. Why do you even think of blaming the merchants. They are NOT the ones manipulating the price, and they don't bring the market down by buying for a lower price. That's just a myth created by people who hate merchants. Obviously you have no idea how economics works or you would know that, with economics the age of the people does not make a difference. Not quite sure I can agree with that, the value of items does not "counteract" the value of the currency, they are both the same thing. If money is worth less, it takes more of that money to buy an item, therefore the item would INCREASE in value. Oh so all of a sudden on tuesday a bunch of people became higher levels all at once, which caused more demand for items.... No. It's the change in duel arena that caused this, not a sudden increase in the number of higher leveled players.
  3. Pathetic rant, you cannot change the prices no matter what you try. prices are what they are because it's the price players are willing to pay and so if there's anyone to blame it's them (which is just stupid). If the price is too high for you, don't buy it. But don't complain about the price just because you assume crafting should give money. People want the experience so much that they will PAY a price to get it. That's why the raw materials prices are greater than processed material's prices Who the hell told you that? there are so many skills in this game, SOME of them have moneymaking potential, others do not. You do skills because you want the higher levels. Sometimes you do skills because you have money to spend even.
  4. Haha that's always a good one... "Omfg go out with me sweetie?" "Sure, if you give me 500k" "Omg! 500k that's well loads!" "You thought I was cheap?! Now gimme the 500k or get outta my sight!" One time an idiot gave me 200k (It was a lot more money to me back in the day lol), I pretended that I wasn't just in it for the money for a minute or so and went: "I gtg, my boyfriend's here!" Then world hopped and deleted him \ Haha I win =] Until it was declared illegal, Star in the sky made her money exactly that way. Ah man I loved that blog :XD: It's ridiculous. Why look for a girlfriend on line? All you need to do is just go places to meet people. That's why do you think clubbing is such a big thing You can always trust a geek to fail at social skills. You know what's funny? The more they look into rs dating to justify themselves, the more they prove just how geeky they are.
  5. Well unfortunately this game has both the immature kids who think "ew girls" or crap like that as well as the horny teens who fail so much at dating they resort to getting a girlfriend in an online game. Sadly enough this can help drive away the already limited female population of this game. That's true, except for me IRL. Everyone loves my chocolate chip cookies :
  6. Congratulations! You contributed to it all =D>
  7. Yeah, like I said, I hadn't been there in months for that very reason. The one thing kq does have over gwd is that it's WAY more accessible. Otherwise gwd totally rules dropwise and I also <3 armadyl. (still waiting for the drops though).
  8. yeah i sold it. For me, the money is best used on skills like prayer and my friend needed his share too
  9. good for a start. Now go for the next 99? (don't do cooking)
  10. Nice! I know what it's like when something shiny red drops on the ground. My first was d legs
  11. 7/10 for outfit. It's an.. interesting match. Got originality but basic decorative armor is still basic. Sorry Skills 2/10 me no lieks 11 con and 20 rc not to mention lvl 1 cropping
  12. Like I said on IRC, my god that's an awesome trip  Originally they were going to do a duo mage, but scopey decided to hybrid and then class share, and misa came along to help hybrid.
  13. Months ago i went with my friend to do kq. Eventually the lack of drops got old and I lost interest. Then, a friend of mine (who just started barrows) asks me to go to kq to see what it's like since he had never been. I'm not a huge fan of kq but I figure "sure, why not". So his first trip ever, my first trip in months and BAM: Looks like kq is good after all :
  14. Since skilling involves some sort of repetition, movies are good for skills like firemaking. If you are making fires, switching windows is almost guarenteed to decrease efficiency, so all you do is keep two windows open side by side and it works like a charm :
  15. Like we haven't been over this issue enough times already
  16. Get over yourself. got something against sarcasm now?
  17. Despite not knowing strategies (Strategies for castle wars just consist of using ancients/freezing fyi  ), you know what castle wars is, and I'm assuming you've at least tried it out once. Likewise for barrows, you've done it few times but you know what it is (and where it is). Common knowledge is totally arbitrary, but I believe that not knowing the geographic location of certain key elements in this game strongly contributes to ignorance Yeah, in my opinion the ideal player is the one who tries out all different kinds of things.
  18. It hasn't been completely removed, it's been replaced by tournaments. What are these tournaments like?
  19. According to them, if you want to get high stakes, participate in tournaments? I'm willing to accept that this isn't a good enough substitute as long as someone can provide a valid reason but until then, I will criticize the mob for not looking for solutions enough.
  20. I think that someone who is that high level and doesn't know common knowledge has either the memory of a goldfish or is, in fact, an idiot. No need to beat around the bush. Especially when we have the answer already here. I always say to these people "no offense, but how can you not know where that place is?" The answer as always: "I dunno, I've only played PC lol" Furthermore, the increase in ignorance, idiocy and decrease in common sense all coincide with the timeframe of PC. Hey if the boot fits...
  21. Clearly I'm not complaining about having to right click. It may be easy to overlook, but all of us are so used to getting randoms (and trying to get them out of the way ASAP) we just naturally left-click on him. The result? Most of the time having to run away 'til he vanishes, since he has tons of HP and no drops. Thats a lot more than just moving the mouse a bit... So you ran away from him each time because you assumed you couldn't talk to him during combat? Wow, talk about bad assumptions. Well problem solved anyways, although I'm not impressed with your lack of ingenuity because you obviously didn't try too hard to solve this problem yourself. O RLY? Well let's check for clarity in your original post then: Nope, it's completely ambiguous. All it says is that the default attack option causes frustration. There's no explanation of why that is the case. You should be more specific when ranting next time.
  22. This is similar to what I said about the 3 day rule. I think I mentioned once that if you postpone a goal, you'll have a hard time starting up again since you have to redo the 3 day rule process. You are certainly correct though and I have had a similar experience. I postponed getting 91 rc which turned out to be a bad idea because I got keylogged losing the ess + other stuff, account locked and unable to play for a month. After weeks of attempts, where others would have given up, I was able to retrieve the account. As a matter of fact, the following month 2 months were spent regaining the ess and getting 91 rc and it's during that time that I started to discover these points. :
  23. It's common sense. Despite the many problems with this forum, it's simply divine compared to the RSOF. Even if SOME rants here resemble SOME rants there, the author of the rant here has the decency of replying to posts. This isn't a service by the dwellers of the RSOF. This is one of MANY examples that displays their ignorance. I know, SOME rants have a bit of value if you ignore the mindless idiots who reply Fair enough, given those circumstances Oh and people who called her emo. Depression is an actual serious psychological "state". An emo, is just a pessimistic whiner who wants to draw attention to him(/her)self. Accusing her of being emo is uncalled for. Totally agreed! This thread is about the bigger issue of how people respond to our actions. Not a runescape version of this tragedy.
  24. My god, i totally agree. Instead of just a click, I have to do a whole RIGHT click. And that's not all..... then I have to actually MOVE the mouse until I can FINALLY get to the "talk to" option. It would be soooo much better if all I needed to do was the talk option because everything else is wasting so much time.
