  1. Just a fallout from the RSOF. All we have to do is shoo them away
  2. I agree 100% 13m is alot of xp, no matter what skill its in. Don't you dare claim that 13 mill fletching or cooking exp is anything close to 13 mill rcing or slayer experience. Every 99 is unique, every 99 has it's own totem of respect and each one is different. Why claim that a skill that has exp rates of 200k per hour is equal to a skill that has exp rates of 20k per hour?
  3. You're charging to much and/or you didn't wait long enough and/or the price isn't close enough to the market price. So either charge less, wait longer or just wait for them to adjust the market price
  4. Locked accounts still appear on the highscores
  5. Prices will not spiral out of control, the stuff at GE that doesn't fit the market price just won't be sold/bought.
  6. Self-imposed limitations are not reflected in the cape. The only way to get people aware of them is by informing people. And when people look at a cape they judge you based on the information given.
  7. Now what you have stated there is basically that the demand for gp remains the same because it's the only currency available. While that may be true, it completely neglects the changes in supply of gp. Now I think we can both agree that the supply of gp is constantly changing is it not? Alchemy, as well as many other activities are clear increases in the supply of money and shop prices clearly decrease the supply of money therefore the supply of gp is constantly changing. Since the supply is constantly changing, then the value of the currency will change and if the value of the currency can change then it is, in fact, possible for the currency in runescape to lose value.
  8. That can't be right... The saying is "great minds think alike" not "twisted minds come up with the same crack theories"

  10. For 99 cooking in 3 weeks it's 3 hours a day (including weekends). From what I've heard, that's a little on the low side considering people play a lot more on weekends. Most people can get get it done in two weeks, your inability to do so does not prove otherwise. Besides, there's the whole problem of my "normal" being different from your "normal". ok well, I think we are talking about two seperate things, for one I think you are saying it's two weeks if you already have all supplies and do not need to buy and sell, because if that's what you're saying then yes, it would be only 2 weeks, but let me tell you, when you have to stand in edgeville bank on 18 for hours selling thousands of c shark, then stand on 2 for hours buying raws, i gurantee you will have a different view. As for fletching, I did 99 fletching back before 'string-x', not before 'cut-x', but it still made the fletching process very much time consuming halfway the old fashioned way. I only had 500k to start off my fletching road, and therefore I was only able to do about 1k yews at a time, very very much aggrivating and time consuming. Plus, you do make money, but, you have to do about 70k yew longs from 80-99, can you imagine doing that 1k by 1k? yes, after i had made about 20k of them, i had made enough money to start doing in about 3ks, ok, so we got 40k more to do in 3ks, not very easy I say. It also depends on your money level, you having 99 rc and 99 construction, are in the clear where-as lower lvl players with only about 1m to spend at a time, are basicly shot, with that you can only buy 4k raw shark, so.. around 44k shark from 80 to 94... gonna take a bit, and when it comes to shark, even worse, only about 1k shark, takes about an hour to cook, then its back to selling and buying it, I only had 2.8m to use for my cooking, so it was not very easy, and very time consuming. Well that would explain everything, because yes the players who "got it in 2 weeks" of course ignored the time it took to make the money. Now, as important as that may be, it is too hard to keep track of and, since people have different incomes (some even luck-based) you can't possibly come up with a number for the time it takes to get the cash. So I'll change my previous claim to this: With the sharks/yews in bank, it takes 2 weeks to get the skill to 99 on a "normal schedule" (meaning about 5 hours per day, yes it's high because of weekends) with the current "x"-abilities.
  11. Fixed, thanks for noticing it. Why thanks, hope the tips can help you in your goals. :
  12. First, get pendant of lucien by talking to him in ardy Then, go to the temple, go through the door wearing the pendant of lucien and then go all the way to the end of the temple. Once you get to the armadyl guardians either kill one if you chose the path of evil, or talk to one of you chose the path of good.
  13. You have to be opposite the crowd and due to recent information it seems that the crowd is selling right now, so you shouldn't sell and you should wait for GE to arrive.
  14. Reguardless of which form you use, you should be 80+ in attack strength and defense (defense being the key one), 60+ prayer. If you want to kill rex, you'll want 80+ mage If you want to alternate between killing prime and killing supreme, then 80+ range
  15. Economics proves otherwise. When the prices fall, the value of the gp increases. There is no say in what could happen next, it depends on a ton of things.
  16. For 99 cooking in 3 weeks it's 3 hours a day (including weekends). From what I've heard, that's a little on the low side considering people play a lot more on weekends. 17. If so then we are going to see just how often players swear. This is going to be very interesting but also very very sad.
  18. Incorrect. The game engine was updated last year around September, this was around the same time that the skill interface was changed and that area sounds were added. Around that time, hunting was going to be released, construction had been released, they were in the middle of the "project" of creating a german version of the game. I'd say they had a lot on their hands :
  19. Well that's great! :D good luck to you and I hope GE doesn't damage your plans.
  20. Oh joy, it's back  ENOUGH with the exaggerations. They both take 2 weeks with a "normal" playing time. If you play a lot (5 hours a day and more in weekends, that's "a lot" by my standards) it will take even less than that. Not to mention these are AFK skills, meaning you can click and relax. And if they weren't easy enough already, they cost very little compared to all the other "buyable skills" Being proud to wear the cape is being proud to have stood 2 weeks doing something fairly easy. It's being proud to be in the top 30000 players . 2 weeks for an "ultimate achievement" skill-wise is really not all that long. I don't like when people go for the cook/fletch combo (and if they follow up with firemaking then that's not really any better). They are just getting a skillcape for the sake of being part of the "people with skillcapes".
  21. In the long term, slight changes are forseen. However in the short term, I recommend selling now. A lot of people have been stocking up on their items since they are just curious to try out the great exchange, prices in the short run could have dramatic changes but these will eventually stop in the long run, and the price for EVERYTHING will be more stable than it use to be. How dire the effect is entirely depends on the popularity of GE and the popularity of GE depends on it's structure which we will not know until a few days
  22. Merchanting can only die if price elasticity of both demand supply are so so high that people will not bother buying for a slightly higher price or selling for a slightly lower price. Never gonna happen. Will GE affect merchanting? Of course! Will it kill merchanting? No, stop being overly dramatic
  23. The only thing players will give you is their personal opinion. I believe if you send a query to Jagex they will tell you the droprate
