  1. Really? I always thought that wearing a skirt would be way too drafty.
  2. Each economist may have their own theories, but they all know economics and base their arguments on economics. Yours is completely baseless, in fact you don't even try to support it; you just try to justify it. Go find an economist that disagrees with the basics of economics  Currency is an economic good. Currency has a market. There is a supply and a demand for currency. If the demand for currency falls, or if the supply of currency increases, the value of the currency (when measured against the price index or other currencies) will be different. The price index is used to measure inflation. The price index is basically a "general" price, that can be used to measure currency. But around here people prefer not to think about economics. To them, increase in price of only one item = inflation
  3. I doubt they wanted to decrease phats with gwd, because gwd caused phat prices to increase.
  4. This, I believe, is an excellent response. Trouble is, what are the reasonable alternatives? It seems that once you allow staking, you allow people to abuse the system.
  5. 6/10 Granted they are 99s, but they are also the easiest ones :|
  6. Do you realize how long it took to make ME2? two years. Where the hell are you getting this "2 months" from I also agree with Locutus' responses.
  7. Ok :P , it was mainly the hair color that I was "seconding" (wow, according to spell check that's a real word)
  8. I guess I'll go ahead and demonstrate how the article by moneyman6369 is completely wrong Incorrect conclusion. Originally, skillers were selling goods slightly under the average price because it was not worth it for them to spend hours sitting on forums. With the GE, they no longer have to spend that time selling therefore they will be able to charge higher prices. The GE also makes it easier for buyers who originally had to buy slightly overpriced if they wanted to get the item they want. What the author presents here is a one-sided conclusion. Yes, it's easier to buy goods at a cheaper price, however it is also easier to sell goods at a higher price. Everyone wins, except the merchants, who were the ones originally facilitating the exchange (but they will NOT be completely destroyed, players who need the cash quickly will not charge so high and merchants can take advantage of that situation). The only exception is the first few weeks, where I think there will be a lot more sellers. This is because people, right now, are holding off on selling goods because they are curious to see what the GE is like but in the long run, prices will be stable and, in fact, a lot more stable than they use to be. That's overly exaggerated and just overly dramatic. The prices will certainly not crash, even if they do fall a bit. Close enough, It only facilitates the selling part but that will lead to more time spent on skills. Note the bias in favor of merchanting Correct, but note an even stronger bias in favor of merchanting This isn't even correct. From what little information we have about G E, there is nothing that suggests that more money will be an input of money into the economy. Speculation based on the assumption that the GE replaces ALL forms of merchanting, which is certainly not true. If so, that implies that cash is being removed from the economy yet you believe it will be added into the economy. If more cash is introduced in the game, that implies a devaluation of the currency and thus an increase in the price of all items. Again this makes no sense with your previous claim The two above claims contradict each other, so not only the author made these claims on mere speculation, they contradict each other and so he is wrong either way. This is just an exaggeration, no comments  First off, this is completely inconsistent with the previous point. If merchants really were destroyed, the price of rares would go down, not up. Second, this is again based on the assumption that this update will put more money in the economy and the assumption the update will cause prices to fall. Considering how both those assumptions contradict each other, this claim is even more invalid. Very poorly written, no economics used to support the claim, it just says "run away! run away! the economy is crashing!".
  9. I believe it is, but is it worth the extra risk? that I don't know
  10. Interesting and good article overall, except I've got a few words to say to Moneyman6369 and his exaggerated illogical theories.
  11. The guy who turns you into a mushroom and gives you bone seeds mentions some clues about summoning.
  12. Just a cheap marketing trick. Too late, it didn't work for me. Just payed all the money I won't be giving Jagex to Blizzard. Gnome mage ftw. And I love how people make assumptions based on circumstantial evidence alone
  13. If I could get over the awkwardness, then I guess it would be interesting.
  14. It looked more like a recommendation than a requirement so I was hopeing to get away with it  . I'll upload it again. Actually, out of curiosity, why is png better?
  15. Pretty cool, especially the sketches of Commander Zilyanna and the zamorak boss
  16. They are people who enjoy seeing others suffer. What's the german word for that?
  17. 7/10 Very nice amount of cash, espeically for a f2per however I don't like how you take pride in having the cheapest wearable rare. I hope you reach higher and eventually get a better mask though : I can explain that. Contrary to popular belief, massive changes in prices does not have to come from inflation. In this case, it comes from income elasticity of demand. This means that, for a change in income, there will be a change in demand for a good. And since there is a change in demand, there will therefore be a change in price. To understand how this affects rares you need to understand what rares are in the economy. They are "luxury goods" or "goods of conspicuous consumption" and this implies that, if our income increase by 50%, our consumption of what we consider a luxury good increases by more than 50% (which makes sense, if your income increases, you tend to buy more of the fancy stuff). This does mean that we each have our own "luxury goods" however, for a lot of people, rares are luxury goods. Conversely, if our income falls, our demand for these goods falls by even more. This is exactly what happened here. As the income of stakers heavily fell, their demand for phats and other rares fell as well. And decrease in demand means decrease in price.
  18. Def nub, pray nub and safer = UBER monster hunter Nice defense, it's a good one to have :
  19. Using dorush-kaan as a shortcut. You don't need a shanty pass but you have to go through some caves so you need a light source.
  20. Are you insane? just because they improve safety measures doesn't mean they will get rid of player to player trading The great exchange is stated to facilitate player to player trading, not replace it.
