  1. I think that you're right. People still really want the herbs, but I think that most people gave up on trying to buy them so there aren't very many offers on the GE at the moment. Once the word gets out that they are available the supply is going to dry up. My prediction is that prices will go down for a few days because people think that they are "crashing" and will wait for a bargain. Then, all of a sudden on Monday or Tuesday (maybe earlier) everyone will get nervous and try to buy at the same time, and they'll be unbuyable again.
  2. It may be true, or maybe "someone" is trying to manipulate prices....
  3. I doubt that it's that complicated. I don't have any proof, but it seems to me that it's a manual process that someone at Jagex kicks off whenever they remember to do it, or have the time to get around to it. So I guess it depends as much on if the "GE update guy" gets stuck in traffic on the way back from lunch as anything else.
  4. I really wanted one of these too, so I spent quite a while in my effort. I killed about 10k imps around the Tower of Life and got nothing. Then I killed about 17K zombies in the wilderness graveyard and got nothing. Finally I got one after about 700 goblins. It really takes quite a while. I've heard that people powertraining on armored zombies get them fairly regularly. Probably because they are killing so many of them, though.
  5. I think that it's about twice that much. If you're getting 1300-1800 per hour, that's about 30 seconds per inventory. This seems pretty slow to me.
  6. Even without the cannon they're OK, and I can pretty much guarantee that you'll make much more from the herb drops than you'll make from the clue scrolls anyway. I seem to get the most from Greaters, but unless you're on a slayer task they are usually crowded and inconvenient to get to. Mighty Banshees are also very good. They are harder to kill than Jellies but seem (at least to me) to have a much better clue drop rate.
  7. The 180 day graph is pretty scary, but the 30 day graph not as much. It's possible that they've hit their max and will stabilize around 5K, or even start to come down. The initial rush of everyone buying their prayer may be over and things might start to cool off a bit.
  8. I'm on attempt 13 right now. Neither dragon or onyx bolts made much of a difference, so I'm back to diamond. If I don't make it this time, I may try to rush him with claws once the healers come out. I figure that it's mathematically possible for 2 specs + vengeance to kill him when he's at 125hp. I'm lasting longer each time, and can successfully manage to eat and engage the healers. But, as the battle wears on, sooner or later I always end up losing my concentration. edit... For anyone curious, the dragon bolt effect DID seem to work on Jad, it just didn't do enough damage to make a difference.
  9. Yeah, I know that it's overkill. But, after all these attempts I'd take a nuclear bomb down with me if I could. In truth, even the best bolts probably won't help with the problem that I'm having. I really don't have any trouble with "prayer switching" at all. What happens is that when the healers come out, I end up forgetting to switch prayers because I am too distracted with them. Just finished attempt 11 a minute ago, with predictable results. Off to the GE!
  10. Yeah, I know that I can get away with diamond bolts, but I think that I need to try something else just to keep me from going crazy. I'll agree that they are both expensive, but with the accumulator I really don't use that many bolts per attempt. In my 10 attempts I think that I've gone through a total of about 150 diamond bolts. If a million or so gp will help me out, I've got enough cash laying around my bank that I'm not using that it really isn't an issue. So with that in mind (I know that I don't really need them, and they are both very expensive) which is better? edit... Not sure if it was clear, but I meant to use the bolts only on Jad. I'll be using broad bolts for everything else in the caves.
  11. So, I'm working on my 10th attempt at the fight caves, and I'm looking to shake things up a little. So far I've been using broad bolts for the caves, and diamond bolts for Jad. It's worked out pretty well, and I'm really only dying because of messing up prayers. That said, I figure that better bolts couldn't hurt. My question is which bolts would help out the most? I've never used the higher level bolts before, so I don't know how effective they will be. Dragon tipped bolts seem like they could do a lot of damage and they were my first choice. Onyx bolts on the other hand have a chance to heal and do "extra damage", whatever that means. I was a little surprised at first that the bolts are very similarly priced (I figured out why) so cost won't really be an issue in deciding between the two. So for those who know these things, my question is which of the two will actually do the most damage. If it's not the onyx bolts, will the healing effect make up for the loss of damage?
  12. I'd like for this to be actually confirmed by someone in-game. Even given Mod Emilee's post I have a feeling that Abyssal , Obsidian, and Talon beast charms aren't affected.
  13. Um, why? It's pointless, poorly thought out, and adds nothing to the game. Better that a fuss is made of it early so they change it before their attention moves on to something else.
  14. Yesterday I almost made it to Jad using curses. Turned on Leech Magic instead of Deflect Magic at the two 360s, and didn't realize why I was being killed until it was too late. Other than that, they worked great.
  15. I can't conceive of a single situation where I'd use broad arrows over broad tipped bolts.
  16. Yeah, it only let me pick up one at a time. I tried to telegrab an extra one, just to see what would happen, but it didn't work.
  17. If you want them really fast you can cannon Mighty Banshees. You'll also end up with lots of good herbs and more pure ess than you'll ever need. Even meleeing them is pretty good. Once I was killing them semi afk while reading forums, and when I looked back there were three scrolls on the ground.
  18. I'm not really questioning whether or not this is true, but how do you know this? I've never seen an official list of rare drops, and I seem to get daggers just about as frequently as limbs. If daggers are really their only "common rare" then what are the half keys?
  19. I can't see that it should make any difference at all in the rate of bar drops. From what I understand the ring doesn't affect the rate of rare drops, it only gives you a chance at a better rare drop if that game has already determined that the current drop is "rare". So, since bars are certainly not a rare drop it should have no effect. In fact, I really don't think that ranarrs and limbs are rare drops either. Bars are frequent drops, and limbs and ranarrs are common. I'd say stuff like a Dragon Spear and Dragon Shield Half are what would be classified as "rare".
  20. Were there changes made to the pouches recently? I haven't been runecrafting in a few months.
  21. That's assuming that you think that "time spent running in a circle on an agility course" = "time spent playing a minigame".
  22. Hey, put it back please! I really need a guide like this right now!
  23. I think that one of the problems is that none of the locations are very useful. I've got mine in Brimhaven, and use it maybe once a week on a treasure trail, or chasing penguins. I actually use it so rarely that if I need to get there, I completely forget that I have the tree and get there some other way If I had it in Etceteria I'd probably use it 1-2 times a month, if I bothered to care enough to check the bush patch. Not much of a loss either way.
  24. Back to the spirit weed question, there is definitely a demand for them. All those guys that you see outside of banks doing fruitfall or spider egg scrolls are using summoning potions to recharge their special bar. Prices fluctuate, so I can't say that it's the best herb at the moment, but you'll probably get 100k+ per herb run.
