I have a problem when people say things like this...because usually there new sound sucks.Prime example is bon jovi doing country rock...wtf???it was horrible, i would rather have another metalica album that had there sound than metalica doing Jpop, just because there not doing anything differant :wall:

I would put van halen eruption above stairway to heaven just as a personal preferance.I think eruption is something that when you first listen to it youre slackjawed and in awe, and when you/ see it performed (see:youtube music) its just as fantastic as you imagine it. Its kind of haunting the stairway to heaven opener though.

Saints Row had multiplayer before GTA did Didn't San Andreas come out before Saints Row? Yeah he lives in a world where the people sat next to you cant play the game.I have to say that GTA did a way better job with the multiplayer than saints row did...but GTA's multiplayer community died waaaayyy quicker than saints rows did.

We live in a post GTA world.The way i see saints row is the first endeavour into next gen crime sandbox and we loved it because we thought that this couldnt get any better.Well GTA4 pretty much took back the genre on release.Saints Row captured the GTA players mindshare because people saw it as a "clone". However the first screenshots, videos etc for saints row 2 was awful.Why am i watching trailer trash beat up a hobo and why does it look worse than saints row 2?yeah the PR was dismal.The blurb you qouted isnt an epiphany for gaming, it dopes sound like san andreas with paint tags, heck it actually sounds more like the tony hawk underground games. Its nice to see an open world game which has some comedic elements, GTA4 took a more serious tone and i like it for it and its nice to see saints row 2 try and fill a niche, but its not going to change gaming.

As far as the UI goes, krisc, you can move around every single element of it where you want without any kind of mods involved. And, of course, you can always download user made UI mods as well like in WoW. Yeah i know that was what i was getting at, i think it wouldnt take them much to add some filler between gaps :P

As someone else said though, if you feel so inclined there will be gamecards, alternative ways of paying is one of the positive advancements in internet buying. Edit:i dont like the aesthetic as much as i should.I think the grunge messy aesthetic that it has doesnt translate well to the engine because its an MMO engine and isnt pushing the polygons as well as youre standard single player game.Also its not as stylised as WoW so i dont think they can get away with as much but im dissapointed with the overall aesthetic. I think the stock ui needs another look aswell, seems like they didnt think about the customization aswell as they could, i think a mechanic where they can merge together so there isnt so many gaps, i was sat with my freind (hes now in) and yeah thats something which can distract you.

Y'know people said that this would be the first example of pollinated content and the content people have made is kinda crap.I can count what looked good by users on one hand, with probably the best being the tumbler but the rest are maxis creations.I think that its obvious that they moddled a building then segmented it and added it a toolbox so you have these incredibly specific pieces which can only create a limited amount of creations. I thoght it was a bit of a letdown and personally i found the space stage a big letdown because of people hailing it as the true game. I will come back to it though, its something whivh i think can benefit over time as creations manifests accross peoples games, its kinda like eve where you walk away and let it do its thing.

Im holding off buying it a few days, i have just enough money for it but i get my 3rd reading list on friday so im gonna have to reserve cash for book purchases if it costs more than i estimate.

British economy went into fluctuation when Northern rock was nationalised and caused a furor in the press and oppinions.The US government having to bail out Mae and mac is distressing.Its the old adage that when the american economy sneezes, the whole world gets a cold. All i can say is that this is self induced by the american economy with the sub prime mortgage market and damn those who thought it was a good idea to, in some cases, hand out mortgages to people who are jobless and there income isnt enough to afford meals for there family. Ok its the lesser of two evils bailing out, we dont want another dustbowl incident, but this should never have happened.Hopefully this is the kind of lesson which puts peopel off for good but the boom and bust economics with the high high high's and the low low low's can overcome peoples common sense.

I must say that case looks hideous, my previous computer to the new one i had now had one of those crazy futuristic cases with the lights and the way i had it, it lit the room up like a night club.It seems like lian li are the only ones who make those smooth slick cases anymore without the glass, LED's and bulges. EDIT:And if you wnat a reccomendation for a uk supplier:overclockers uk are fantastic imo.Got my last 2 pc's from them, way cheaper than buying from retail, you can build youre own and they 9/10 ship extra parts with youre order for DIY fixes etc.links in the sticky topic.

First ever MMO i played, even before RS my computer came secondhand with guildwars installed so i signed up and played that for about a month.Then moved onto RS because school freinds were playing it. Funnily enough i dont remember much of it :^o

I think the rots setting in quicker than thought, if the shift in mentality from players is similar to pre bc then blizzard really need to [bleep]ing act and get those expansions out quicker.Ok there working 20 hour days and staff are posting updates at 3am but cmon annual expansion releases will prevent the deathshades. Seriousley blizzard need to get there [cabbage] together, set up a second team maybe for R and D and prep for expansions so this 3 year development cycle they have going because of content patches inbetween doesnt work, even with probably the most successful game ever made, you cannot allow content starvation amongst players. Even im becoming bored, the only thing im doing at the moment is taking my druid out of mothballs and playing an hour or two every couple of days with my dad via recruit a freind.I have a lot of time at the moment andusually i would be total wow poopsockage but im just like eh...play some tf2.
