the $100 laptop
Its like give a man a fish he will eat it, give a mana fishing rod he will fish for food for the rest of his life. I think that the foundations who dispense aid have lost touch of this the way there distributing aid in a short term gain long term loss, rather than setting up infrastructure and giving people tools to survive. I do think that a cheap as possible laptop is a good idea

Moving Music Folder
I bought an external hardrive, Seagate 120gb and i think its worth the money just for the piece of mind it brings. It also works as a device for transferring large files which is great for the situation your in.And at least teh seagate i use has some built in software taht turns it into a media centre database, my EHD has this visual mode available which makes it look like the netflix interface(i dont use it though :P)

Windows OS:which one is best
Im about to build a new rig from scratch (well someone else is goping to help me) and i need to choose a good windows OS. Heres the options(im discounting ultimate because i dont think it warrants the price or purpose.) Vista Home basic(32bt) Vista Home basic(64bt) Vista Home Premium (32bt) Vista Home Premium (64bt) Windows xp Home OEM Windows xp Pro OEM It will be abel to run any of them but i want to know which would be the best for gaming and multitasking.Im unsure whether to jump to vista(currently using xp on pc and vista on laptop) purely because ive heard of frustrations and the resources it takes but i will need this to last about 3-4 years so it might be worth jumping over to vista. So yeah which one would be best?

Jagex and popularity
Y'know what RS needs to advertise, some random GWD runner going into Saradomins area and just grinding on mobs to some euro remix, prefferably tiesto and then the title runescape with a tagline using windows movie maker defaults just to give the real impression as to what the game is like.

CLEAN Funny Picture Thread ~new rules, read first post~
The cake transcends all of valves games... For those who browse gamespot, this was one of the slew of the slew og GIFS that was a product of the many flops that occured from teh gamespot reviewers.Mass effect getting an 8.0 when it was hyped 9.5, Ratchet getting a 7.5 when it was hyped at least a 9.0. See it even has some origin. I have more but there mostly of hot chicks :D

Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning
I along with everyone else will be rolling a Destruction character.I agree with people that orders equivalent armor sets suck (unless theres shenanigans are going on) and that the green skins look awesome.

Real-Life RPG 3D
No your going to have to wait a while before the guys who made the san andreas multiplayer mod, where its got a real economy and consequances, like you get run over by a golf caddy and you cant move till someone moves it and then you need to ring the hospital. From what i heard there going to switch over to GTA4 as soon as they have code and then get to work.Might be a few months though :(

Lowering of the drinking age to 18
Looking at britain as a country who has the drinking age at 18 i dont how anyone would even think about lowering the drinking age, especially in a country which has as many hand guns as people. The amount of drink related crimes and deaths is pretty horrific and this is a country which is so restrictive with anything that could be considered a killing instrument. As a side effect its going to increase the availability of alcahol to minors because i think that 21 makes you mature enough to not mishandle alcohol to the extent of an 18 year old.I know a lot of 18 year olds who are less mature than my little brother.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
I dont see the quest one attainable wright off the bat, from peopel who have tried doing as many quests possible pre bc, there at around 1.7k and 800 maybe in outland so if theres 800 in northrend (most likely more because there not doing a new race and concentrating on the continent so you can make it if you get to 80.The others are gonna be quickly attained, by a select few because first tauren druid can take the archdruid and plainsrunner and possibly proffesions because they have access to the resources quickly.Still cool because its something peopel have been after, more variety in titles.

The official World of Warcraft thread.
This is a patch that is intended to transition between bc to wrath so its all going to change when the new end game is 80, new spells are activated and its more balanced.First looking at this i thought it was just making it eier that you will only have the best debuffs, buffs in raid encounters but it matches blizzards trend to peanolising players for mindlessly spamming things. We saw this predominatly with potion sickness because it suddenly made potions and emergency thing and not something which you could just chug and keep spamming. So if youre spamming debuffs or buffs which have no effect on teh raid because a better one is up then your wasting mana. And from what i heard, there going to be experimenting with mana races rather than dps races, where theres a certain amount of time before everyone goes OOM and even shadowpriests can keep you alive, i would believe it if potion sickness still existed because then shadowpriests then cannot chug mana pots however i suppose the revision on how vampiric embrace will work in raids sort of validates this theory.

What do YOU think is the best console/platform?
Pc without a doubt for me, even if you dont have any money i can find more fun playing say portal the flash version than most console games. In terms of consoles though, ps2 .Nothing has had so much exclusives, a great mix of first party and third party, an eclectic mix of genres and it establishes gamings biggest franchises. EDIT: oh and if your judging the state of pc gaming based on games for windows live then you need to step away from gamestores and turn on steam, even kongregate. Why pay $10 for a paperboy remake (that was a waste of cash) when you can play some great flash games.

That kid that went to your school.
i might get my post deleted but this happened. Year 11:A lad called Craig H had been complaining about needing the toilet all the way through PE while we were playing football. The teacher let him go to the toilet and he came back. When we went back in to shower and change we find out that the toilet was locked for repairs and he needed it so bad that he defecated in the corner of the shower wiping his [wagon] on a merit (merits are like paper slips which we cash in at the end of each month and at the end of teh year you get prizes for the most). It was disgusting and was forced to clean it up, he still gets ridiculed for it today.

My freind suffers from it real badly unfortunatly, its heredatory so it runs in the family but its not as bad as it was a few years ago.I only get spots on my nose, even shaving spots they last a day or so then dissapear.Kinda lucky when it comes to spots Edit:It might be my diet after reading some of youre responses. My mums vegan and she does the food shopping so i dont get subjected to carbonated beverages on a daily basis and my meat consumption is rarely over twice a week.

Where is Jagex going with the new poll?
WTF?A console with over a 120 million consoles sold to a console with less than a 10th of the install base. And what the [bleep] are you talking about no releases on it?its got more releases than any console on the market even at this shallow point and its going to pick up in the holiday season because publishers have realised that a ps2 version is helpful because you can sell it for $15 in wal mart and make twice as much as you did on the next gen platforms. And you can port your psp release over to ps2 and make just as much money. While the 360 and ps3 are bleeding money and no general consumer is at all interested in dropping more than $150 on a console with $100 being the sweatspot, how can you be surprised taht the poll has turned out the way it has. Its your view and hardly anyone with sense agrees with you. This comes into play when we hear how the psp and the ds are going to handle content patches, and 3rd party programs because then it opens up[ the door to bringing runescape to a portable console and there isnt a barrier to not being able to update it and get it online.I can see it working on the psp and ds definatly but the ds needs to sort out its online distribution first.
