  1. Agree  The lag makes that part awful. I was standing there 30 seconds after each reset, waiting for the reset to finish happening.
  2. 100% agree. So many people pine for the old days, yet so few actually follow through and avail themselves of the opportunity.
  3. I'd do them in Kuradal's dungeon - you can duck into the abyssal demons room when you need a breather.
  4. But Jagex periodically opens Classic to new players. People can already experience the old Wildy & PK culture if they so choose - and in their original environments. You can go live in the past anytime you want without causing upheaval in RS2. Right now there are a whopping 41 players experiencing the old PK & Wildy - one of them is even a veteran!
  5. I'm betting it's all about GE manipulation during the holiday surge of playing - start merching those PK supplies today! <_<
  6. The burden of proof is on you and so far, you are lacking. Sorry, but your word is not good enough. We are talking about one of the biggest reversals in policy ever in RS, and you didn't have any reason to secure evidence to back up your claim? We have just your word and the word of 99 other chat members? Silent and unnamed chat members, I might add. Why is no one else corroborating your story anywhere? Shenanigans.
  7. This doesn't seem to be a problem for the true believers - and considering the love affair the RS community-at-large has with screenshotting forums & chats, I also find it highly suspect. <_< And anyways, he called my cell phone personally and swore this wouldn't be happening until Runescape had been ported to the Timex Sinclair. Prove it, you say?
  8. Seconded; I seem to get one every other week.
  9. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan
  10. Penguins weekly, TOG weekly, kingdom weekly, staffs daily, assist effigies daily.
  11. If you've done Summer's End, you can sell them to the Rogue in Varrock to get the low alch price. He buys noted jewelry (up to 10,000 per transaction). I'd be tempted to save them and high alch them gradually over time. You'd have to get to 55 Magic first. You would get 30,000 x 65xp = 1,950,000 xp if you high alched them all.
  12. @ OP: Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary proof. Where is your proof?
  13. The last 10 songs in the Hump Day iTunes shuffle: Emerson, Lake & Palmer - I Believe in Father Christmas The Sugarcubes - Coldsweat [Remix] The Clash - Should I Stay or Should I Go The Benjy Davis Project - Still Sweet Queen - One Vision (12" Version) Close Lobsters - A Prophecy The Rolling Stones - Emotional Rescue Run-D.M.C. - Christmas in Hollis 10,000 Maniacs - More Than This Van Morrison - In the Days Before Rock n Roll
  14. I use Firefox & Safari most of the time. I used to use Chrome, but I got tired of their stealth updating (and told them so via feedback when I uninstalled it)
  15. dial-up players have different IPs from session to session. how ironic, a dead/old technology posted 4 years later in a dead/old thread. lol irony. gj! It's either dial-up or Hughes Net (satellite) where I live - and I'm not on Hughes Net. For your edification.
  16. This would only work with static IPs; dial-up players have different IPs from session to session.
  17. (1) It wouldn't affect me, as I already have my own endgame set in my mind. (2) I don't see the sense in adding all these new whiz-bang ways of leveling (effigies, diversions, etc.) and then to raise the goalposts to 120. If you had a grindfest before, and you increase both the rate of XP and the XP cap, then it's still a grindfest - you haven't really changed anything. 99 is fine.
  18. So I take it you can't get at Services from Control Panel either... (under Administrative Tools) Heres a CNET thread that might help you. I have no personal experience with Vundo, so I can't vouch for that download. But I saw it on several Vundo solution threads.
  19. Well, it does bother me when botting goes unpunished. But I do not believe all instances warrant the same level of punishment. I do not believe you can lump the script kiddie who bots his wc to 99 for a cape in with the same people who bot accounts for real world financial gain. Though each behavior is wrong, they merit some common-sense differentiation in punishment.
  20. You know what would be really funny? Jagex should be able to modify a botting account so that neither XP nor raw materials are gained. They should let the macros just stand there and run endlessly and laugh up their collective sleeves when the macroer checks his bank and stats a few hours later.
  21. I really dont have a problem with this. Botters made money off of Jagex for years, after all. Though I do think that in the event of credit card fraud or account trading, accounts ought to be disabled permanently, have their banks wiped and have their real life and in-game names made public. But for slack-assed lamers who try to gain levels for themselves the easy way? This is a good approach.
  22. It's possbily just to piss people off  The defenders are non-tradable and high alch for 0 gp, but the masks are tradable and dropped by the cyclossus. And to get the cyclossus, you have to kill the regular cyclopses. So the probable reason for the crowding is to get the helmets, which are up about 10% from their starting price. Not to mention, they are wearable for F2P, at least for the present. Don't hate the players - hate the game.
  23. I was able to get a defender and a helmet tonight - was still crowded but fortunately, I got a helmet from one of the cyclopssuses (cyclopssi?) and the defender came from one of the little fellers. Id have rather had a second defender for a a placeholder, but I cant complain - I got it on Day 1 and that's enough for now. Ill get the placeholder another day. Looking forward to field testing it over the weekend.
  24. Perhaps they do and perhaps they don't - but it's not relevant to the OP, as he made no such claims in the first place. But by all means, go on indulging yourself.
