  1. Unfortunately, you can't. There is no "wall" object that you can build that will fill in an unwanted door to a room that has more than one entry way.
  2. Just be careful when you're buying essence and that you make sure that you're paying for the right type. Always check the second trade screen to make sure you have rune essence or pure essence. The maximum price that you should pay is 30gp per rune essence and 100gp per pure essence.
  3. A cheap dealer? Is this dealer legitamate? I hope you didn't buy the essence from an autoer ringleader because then you'd be contributing to the black market. :shame: :shame: :shame:
  4. Come on guys, give the article contributors a chance! The first author was talking about decency and morality. Putting yourself in your "victim's" shoes helps you realize how you would feel when being scammed. Now, about the second author's article; I'm not sure which side of the arguement he/she was trying to advocate because it wasn't coherent.
  5. If I ever quit, and I might do that one day, I will never have that giant leaving the game bank sale because who knows if I'm quitting permanently or just going for a very extended break? I'd rather keep all my junk, useful or otherwise just so if I ever return to the game, I can pick up where I left off, even if it means spending a few hours reading up on Tip.it's guides to bring me back up to speed on some things. And I will never ever "pass on" my character to another player regardless of their relation to me. Would you "pass on" your left arm (right arm for you north paws) to somebody else? Of course not. [self-censor: reknown RS player] would never pass on his character as well since he spent so much time developing his character and anybody else would misrepresent him and his views.
  6. If you're willing to spend the money, bring Nature runes and a Staff of Fire to Superheat your Adamantite ore and Coal directly to a bar so that you're not wasting a lot of time banking. Mithril takes a while to respawn and Adamantite takes significantly longer than Mithril. Do you really want the "other guy" to get a Adamantite ore while you're away banking? Of course not!
  7. Incorrect skylor. :( All God books can be unceremoniously dumped out of your bank and you can retrieve them for free from the Jossik (name?) in the Lighthouse. You just have to go up and talk to him and he'll give you any God book that you previously owned. New God books cost 5K and you can only buy a new God book when you've found/bought all four pages of your first (or second) God book. God books are returned to you in the same condition that you had them when you lost it. If your Zamorak God book had all four pages in it, then that's what you get back from Jossik. Also, you're only allowed to have one copy of any God book; you can't have two Zamorak God book as a bank place-holder. I've personally tested this out by dropping my Guthix book in the Lighthouse, asking Jossik for a new one and tried Telegrabbing the Guthix book that I dropped. A 'mysterious force' prevents me from grabbing it. I hope this is enough information about the God books.
  8. No body can say with absolute certainty how long it takes to get a rune defender since it is a random drop. And yes, it is definitely worth the effort since it's a decent shield substitute.

"The Boys/Blokes At Jagex Towers" ?? This is just a guess but I see many forumers use it.
  10. As the other posters have stated, buy your equipment for function, not fashion. Selling off high-grade equipment to buy low-grade equipment for an incredibly huge sum of money is definitely not wise! This sounds a lot like a RS friend of mine in that he has frequent bank sales of the junk that I pass on to him -- black warhammers, steel boots, rune pickaxe etc. -- so that he has money to buy expensive equipment that looks "cool" to him like a granite shield or obsidian cape, but he'll never really use it because he doesn't want to lose it. Don't get me wrong though. There's nothing wrong with buying expensive equipment but make sure you're not spending money on a ridiculously over priced item that will do you no good in a battle. Remember: function before fashion. Especially when you find yourself selling off your entire bank to buy a measly item.
  11. Looks like I've reached another short term goal of runecrafting Cosmic runes and I've started making Nature runes. So far I've made 3K Nature runes so that a little less than half way there. Anyways, I think that's enough for now. Going to go do something else now and take a break from the game.
  12. Duplicated thread. Can a Forum Mod lock this please?
  13. How about lvl-99 Runecrafting? According to Tip.it's Runecrafting calculator, you will need to use about 1.5M pure essence to get from lvl-50 to lvl-99. If we are to use the player-market price of 100gp per pure essence, then you're looking at 150M gp spent on pure essence. To go from lvl-50 to lvl-91 Runecrafting, you'll use about 650K pure essence, which can be sold for 195M gp, assuming Natures are sold at 300gp each. This will then leave you with 850K pure essence to craft into Natures. At lvl-91, Natures are doubled so you end up with 1.7M Nature runes, which can be sold for 510M gp. I'll leave it up to you to figure out your net profit, after taking into consideration your expenses and your current capital.
  14. If the world is off-line, just switch to a different world, wait a minute or five then log back in. It's not the end of the world, ya know. #-o
  15. NO SOLICITING!!! It's against forum rules so a Forum Mod needs to lock this ASAP. If you need money to pay for members, get off your fat, lazy [self censor: donkey] and become a stock boy/girl, fry cook or work at a nearby coffee shop. Get a real job!
  16. This should really be moved to the Tech and Computers forum. Unfortunately, lag is usually caused by high network traffic -- both internal and external network -- and from physical problems to the external network. I'm not an expert on ethernet technology, nor can I tell you what you can do to "fix" lag. If you have high-speed internet service like through your cable company or phone service, then you or your parents should call them to see if there's some maintenance work being done in your area. I have high-speed internet through cable and from experience, it's best to call them and have them do a remote diagnostic of your cable modem box. One possibility is that the cable underground has somehow been damaged and a crew needs to be sent out to get it replaced. If that's the case, then there isn't much you can do about it except let the cable company do their work to fix the problem. Hope this helps.
  17. Hey zeddude, so it looks like you've signed yourself up as a Notable Contributor eh? I'll add your name to the "Hall of Awesomeness"!
  18. I've decided to add a Notable Contributors section to my runecrafting portion of my blog. Here's the idea behind it. Since I'm buying pure essence from players, and looking for permanent or semi-permanent pure essence suppliers, I'll encourage them by keeping track of the amount of pure essence they mine for me and award them with an Infinity Item when they've collected enough points. If you look at the main part of the blog, you'll see each Infinity Item with a point rating. When the Contributor has saved up enough points, I'll message them in-game and ask them which Infinity Item they want or if they want to continue to collect and get something better. Eventually, when I have this system running well enough and that I have many contributors, I'll even start awarding Mage Books and Master Wands.
  19. If you use Karamja rum on a piece of silk, then you get a cleaning cloth that you can use on poisoned weapons to clean off the poison. That's one use for silk. Other than that, any other use would most likely be quest related. Unfortunately, I can't remember what quest would need silk but I'm sure you can find out by searching through Tip.it's Item Database.
  20. No, there are better ways to make money. Plus, you need 1 cut diamond to enter the Zanaris market area. Here's the maximum amount of money that you can get per "run", if you're actually willing to waste your time and a cut diamond getting money this way: 1 sack holds 5 cabbages 27 sacks of cabbages, 1 cut diamond = 28 inventory slots 27 sacks of cabbages * 5 cabbages per sack = 135 cabbages 135 cabbages * 100 gp per cabbage = 13500 gp So, per "cabbage run" assuming there's no way for you to unnote sacks of cabbage, you'll get 13.5K gp per run. Not worth the effort.
  21. This is a good start for a RuneScape suggestion. Do you think you can further elaborate on some of the Auction house's features and functions? Since each RS World can have a maximum of 2000 players, it would be reasonable to restrict a player to posting only 1 item to sell. An Auction house also implies that players can make bids on an item that's being sold. Will this be the case or will the player only set up a fixed price for people to see? I think the Auction house should also combine the trade screen and bank pin functions. When a player wants to buy your item, you're sent a screen to tell you someone wants to buy your item. Then both players are asked to enter their bank pins to open up the trade screen. You then both confirm the trade, just like a regular player-to-player trade. If you entered a fixed price or a minimum price, then you'll see on the trade screen that the buyer has met the requirements and you can go ahead an Accept. Just some ideas to help prevent auto-buyers from abusing the Auction house. EDIT: Ok, not one item but only make one Auction post. So, "Selling 1K pure essence for 90K gp" is considered one Auction post.
  22. An ice age and massive starvation is a good thing. The planet's natural resources are, in my non-professional opinion, being over used. Reducing a dominant specie's population is nature's way of bring order back into the ecosystem.
  23. Well, another day, another 2K Cosmics made. So, looks like I'm up to 10K Cosmics but I'll need a total of 11K Cosmics before I can head to the Mage Training Arena, so it looks like I'll need another Cosmic run. Since I use my pure essence, 1K at a time, I'll be making another 2K worth of Cosmics. Hopefully, I'll have enough pure essence to make 7K Natures! :XD:
  24. Use Protect from Range instead of Protect from Melee. If you use Protect from Melee, the Ice Troll King will hit you across the room. If you're lucky, you'll stand within melee range but he'll use Range attacks on you and you'll be alright. Just make sure you have a large amount of high healing food. I recommend Tuna Potatoes since they heal 22hp.
  25. That's one thing I try to avoid; buying pure ess from autoers since that means I'll be supporting the black market, which is bad! (so exhausted.. can't write proper sentences anymore..)
