New Generations...
16 and 17 year olds have more than likely gone through puberty, are more capable at making responsible choices, and are more physically developed. Since there has been public schooling in America, high school kids have been drinking, but I really have not seen middle schoolers drinking since the start of this century. Hell, when my parents were in school, most Seniors were of age to drink, and most Juniors were 1 year off.

New Generations...
I totally agree. There were kids my last year of high school (last year) that were in 8th freakin' grade and already were in troube with the cops for drinking and were also out of sports for a good amount of time. I live in a town of 2,600 people so it's not like there's a lot of deviance from the "norm" here. I didn't start drinking until after Junior year and these 13 year olds are already drinking. They have shown up to some parties I've been at and we told them to get the hell out of there. They're not old enough to make that decision but are making it because they think it'll gain them acceptance with older kids. I think kids these days are so obsessed with acting older than they are that they miss the innocence that childhood really is.

Your top five movies
Haha, I don't know. Believe me, I LOVED both of them. I don't really think it's possible for me to rank 1-5 since I love each of those movies in a very different way. I don't think any of them is better than another.

The official(?) GUESS THAT SONG! Thread.
Static-X happens to be my sister's favorite band and Dirthouse happens to be this song :D We're going to change up the genres a bit, I'd be surprised if anyone got this besides Assassin. (No guessing Assassin! :D ) I'll know if you cheated, trust me. [hide=]This my excavation and today is kumran Everything that happens is from now on This is pouring rain This is paralyzed I keep throwing it down two-hundred at a time It's hard to find it when you knew it When your money's gone And you're drunk as hell On your back with your racks as the stacks as your load In the back and the racks and the stacks are your load In the back with your racks and you're un-stacking your load I've twisting to the sun I needed to replace The fountain in the front yard is rusted out All my love was down In a frozen ground There's a black crow sitting across from me; his wiry legs are crossed And he's dangling my keys he even fakes a toss Whatever could it be That has brought me to this loss? On your back with your racks as the stacks as your load In the back and the racks and the stacks of your load In the back with your racks and you're un-stacking your load This is not the sound of a new man or crispy realization It's the sound of the unlocking and the lift away Your love will be Safe with me[/hide]

New Generations...
Have them expand it in an intelligent manner. Younger generations have no respect for age whatsoever. It's getting quite sickening if you ask me. I'm not saying kids need to "speak when spoken to", but I'd like to see them at least know not to smart off to an adult. It comes from the parents not teaching them discipline. I know I'm going to teach that to my children someday, and they'll be better for it.

When do you cry?
Last season's last episode of House. Bon Iver AND Iron And Wine in one episode....it's just uncontrollable.
-
When do you cry?
At the end of The Shawshank Redemption, We Were Soldiers, and Braveheart.

Olympics 2008
Absolutely pathetic. I had little respect for China's government as it was, but now it's just down the tubes.

Best Subway Lunch?
I think the only deviance from the American menu is that Canada's Subways offer Maple Syrup as a dressing. Oh gosh golly I made a joke. Lighten up dolt.

How do you sleep?
I don't sleep, I wait.

RIP Isaac Hayes, dead at 65
He wasn't Chef after 2 seasons ago. Don't you remember the episode where they killed him? They used all his past voice clips to make his lines for that episode.

What do you think happens when we Die
You just don't exist physically anymore. That's all that is going to happen. Do you remember before you were born? No, and you're not going to remember when you die either. The human mind has an impossible time comprehending it's own demise, so we like to make up stories about what's going to happen when we die. The real truth: We just cease to exist.

The Rockstar Tour of Mayhem
Just got back from the Chicago show on Sunday. Actually we left Friday night from my town, drove 7 hours, got there, didn't sleep for 48 straight hours until this morning at 8am haha. Anyways, all the bands were pretty good except for Suicide Silence. That band really blows. I was very surprised with Dragonforce though. Most people have told me how they really suck and how they slow stuff down and Herman Li isn't very good live, but holy crap they were tight as hell and believe me, they played it up to speed. Slipknot was pretty damn good especially since they only played 3 songs from Vol. 3 (Before I Forget, Duality, and The Blister Exists)and 1 song from the new one (Psychosocial). They went back to their first albums to play a brutal show. Songs included, People=[cabbage], Prosthetics, (sic), Get This, Surfacing, Heretic Anthem, and a few more that I can't seem to remember right now. It was a pretty good thing that they went back to their more...brutal roots. It gives me a pretty good feeling about the new album.

Bands That Have Died
I just saw Disturbed on the Rockstar Mayhem Tour and I'm preeeeeettttyy sure they didn't die. They put on an amazing live show, but I still don't like them as a band. Their singer gets very repetitive and a lot of their riffs sound the same after awhile. Their radio singles are good songs, but I think they need to change it up or they WILL start to lose popularity. That being said they're still one of the biggest bands in music right now.

What accents do you like?
I have the heavy mid-western accent. I say "Ohh yahh?" a lot and once in awhile the "Eh?" I don't really care about the accent as long as the girl is good looking, although I do not really like a French accent. Please, get the bread dough out of your mouth and PRONUNCIATE the words. Thank you.

Bernie Mac dead at 50.
We're losing a lot of great people this year, or coming really close to losing them. It's kind of depressing. George Carlin, Bernie Mac, Bo Diddly, Tim Russert.

the Mothers of Invention VS. the Beatles
EASILY The Mothers of Invention. Frank Zappa was probably the most musically abled person to come out of 1960-1980. Absolute writing genius.
