  1. 3 words: Chaotic Maul KO. When you see it, you're already dead. Also, this "you can't see it" could be easily fixed by a marker or animation on a potted player. If you ban extremes, you should ban supers too. Sure you can buy them; But you can also buy the herblore level to make extremes. The only difference is one person spends their money on the pots, and the other spends their money on the levels. Both are invisible boosts. Also ban ancient prayers and ancient magiks; You can't visibly tell if an enemy has turmoil or ancient magiks until they attack you or turn a deflect prayer on. Maybe you should ban rings too? I don't have the money to buy a berserker ring, so nobody should use one! In the end, it all comes down to money; If you have it, you can get extremes. If you don't, you'll get extremely butthurt that another player has it. Magic is obviously shown in your cb level and its considered a cb skill even if its not accurately shown. Prayer too. And it freaking tells you in your chat if someone is using ancient prays, and even turm has animation. You can lose your ring. you can lose your maul. you can lose claws. you can lose korsai. None of these are even of the same magnitude of game breaking as extremes/ovl. these comparisons are asinine and really should be stopped, as xpx and others have addressed them over and over.
  2. You can lose your items and all the time you spent on getting them. You don't lose your herblore lvl or ability to use the pots. Seriously, if people are going to defend these potions at least post something as to why it would make the pvp experience in general better for everyone, rather than just trying to defend why it wouldn't be so bad, or making bad comparisons. Otherwise there is literally no reason why it should be implemented.
  3. Who said anything about PKing videos? I'm talking about people I walked past while going to the Agility arena to use up my Brawlers. I was out there for all of 15 minutes before I got PKed, and within that time period I saw three different people with Divines. Also, I didn't say it's reasonable to expect people to counter extremes by risking 400M gear, I said it's reasonable to expect people to counter top-of-the-line offensive gear with top-of-the-line defensive gear. Extremes don't play into it. Take away all special attacks and all weapons better than D Scimitars, and the effect is much, much greater than taking away Extremes. Yes, things in the wilderness generate targets... but they don't if there's no reason to use them. Who's honestly going to kill Hellhounds in the wilderness now when there's many spots elsewhere, and you can't use your Extremes out in the wilderness? If it weren't for Kuradel's Dungeon, I would definitely consider it for beating out the crowds. Not if Extremes aren't allowed, though. And again, Chaos Elemental is a boss. Plenty of people sunk 100M into a skill they don't like because it would help them fight bosses. You're going to make a boss much more profitable and tell people that the 100M they invested to help kill it better is of no use? That's like saying you can't use your strength level in the Wilderness anymore. BTW, I fail to see what's so skilled about running out there, finding someone who might not be ready, attacking him, and clicking on your special bar twice to see if he dies. Because that's really what Dragon Claw rushers do, and it works just fine for them without Extreme Potions. What's interesting about that? What's skillful? From where I sit, absolutely nothing. Dude, how is korsai's or even claws comparable in cost to divine or torva? That's exactly what you were saying when you said you wouldn't die if you wore that kind of armour when extremes came out. If you have ever engaged in a real pking fight or dm before, the only skill involves combo eating and knowing when to spec. You take out the spec, there's nothing. The person with an inv of brews and overloads is just gonna outlast the person without ovl. Simple as that... pking would be worse under your alternative. Yea rushers suck, but its better than fights that are determined why who has extremes and who doesn't. In fact the skill would come when surviving a rush and then killing them, although it becomes ridiculously hard if not impossible sometimes if you let the new potions in. I still don't see any offensive reason why the potions would be good for pvp....
  4. So what? That doesn't address either of my points - if you're the "average" player, you're dead anyways against someone with good gear. And they can one-hit you either way. More likely, maybe, but Extremes are not the reason people OHKO each other. The reason lies within the weapon and the overpowered special attacks. Except the average player is somewhere between level 70 and 90. As much as hanging out on Tip.It would lead you to believe, most players are NOT high leveled. Most players do NOT have multiple 99s. And most players, if they were to go into the wilderness, will be confronting pures. And yes, it's already very biased, but that's just adding to the point - it's the stats and the equipment, not the potions. Also, I agree that Extreme Ranging is a problem. It's always been an oddball, since normal Ranging potions are so weak, and there's no Super to bridge the gap. I've never understood why we simply jump from normal to extreme for magic/ranged anyways. But again... why is the problem the Ranging potion and not the Dark Bow? Explain to me then, why Jagex has always tried to put non-PvP activities into PvP areas? Clue Scrolls. Training Spots. Monsters. Brawler Gloves. Even the planned "Wilderness Tag". Agility Course. The wilderness was never meant to be "PvP, don't come here for anything else." Also, I'd love to see someone with ONLY D claws one hit me when I'm ONLY wearing divine. Heck, I'd love to see him two hit me. It's not happening. Divines are already being used in PvP, and Torva/Pernix/Virtus will be too. Good PKers don't mind high risk, because it balances out by lowering the actual chance of death. Pking videos =/= normal pking. You're pretty wrong when you say divine is being used in pvp. I also guarantee you the new armor isn't going to become standard pking gear. Ever. But I'm sure its prefectly reasonable to expect people to counter extremes by risking 400M gear. I'm not exactly sure why anything else is relevant, but everything else in the wild is just meant to generate targets for pkers, other than other pkers, kind of like the abyss. Also, the fact that extreme ranging is going to be broken is enough of a reason to reject all extremes on the basis of consistency. Special attacks + good weapons + extremes = wtf broken Special attacks + good weapons alone = interesting game with ko potential, possibly nearing broken but not completely. Extremes alone = whoever has extremes wins and no skill invovled? wut? why on earth would u be advocating extremes but no special? oh wait you have 96 herb, and obviously that's all that should matter in pvp. everyone else can go [bleep] themselves. Oh yeah, an inventory of brews and overloads makes it such a fair fight to someone without extremes, especially when you take out their only ability to spec them and KO. Trolling aside, i genuinely have not seen any reason that warrants itself as a "benefit" to having extremes. All you've been doing is trying to defend why overloads won't be as bad you think, but there still isn't an offensive reason to how extremes/ovl will be good for pvp, other than to satisfy the egos of rich players.
  5. Dude i know, I'm suffering so much because i can't use extremes. It's like, impossible for me to ko and win fights without broken potions.
  6. Ikr, one shotting and normal hits with a hit above 600 are a perfectly reasonable standard for a fight. Hell, one shotting isn't fast enough, we need like, magic spells that have 50% chance of an instant kill too. Stupid old school nubs l2 play brokenscape.
  7. Just like a 50% increase in the potential of a one hit ko from a dark bow. aint much.
  8. The average joe isn't going around one-hitting people with Dragon Claws. Yeah, if something aint broken, don't fix it, MAKE IT BROKEN!!!!!!
  9. When you die with chaotics, you lose them, so they are balanced by risk. Extremes aren't balanced in any way. You keep 1 item, correct? You can get smited out, but I think it should be quite possible to keep a chaotic for a long time. Extremes are balanced by cost (which is an issue, most pures won't bother to get them, similar to how turmoil pures are not the norm). Also, items like defenders, korasi's etcetera are all extremely cheap and could be considered unbalanced. Yeah dude, you lose your herblore levels when you die and all the time you spent on it just like you lose all the time you spent dging, didn't you know? Plus, that crucial 30k potion makes a difference too. And korsai, claws, are all cheap and could be considered unbalanced, so lets make them more broken with extreme's/ovl. What could go wrong?
  10. Don't go in the wilderness then. The wilderness is ment to be and I quote from Jagex "A dangerous place." Very stupid thing to say. A dangerous place is NOT somewhere that people can 1 hit you with something like a DDS. Dangerous place != Certain death. Also, i never assumed max offense. I assumed PKing gear, in which people easily hit 350s+ with a gmaul, without extremes. How the [bleep] would extreme attack accuracy be fair on any level? I have successfully maul rushed people with 90 attack and strength from 900+lp, do you really want me to have extremes? Technically, that WOULD be a dangerous place by definition, and honestly, you won't be getting 1hitted very often if you have good armor. Yeah guys, don't worry extreme att and range doesn't boots your accuracy at all. I'm sure your d'hide and rune will suffice. If it doesn't, just bring torva. lol @ noobs who can't afford to risk 400m and shouldn't be pking.
  11. omfg extreme's and ovl would be so awesome if it was let in wild bcuz those poor nubs that don't spend 150m and months of their life like i have deserve to get massively pwnt and one shotted. Grow up, it's an RPG and who gives up crap about pvp as a whole????Stupid whiny pkers. What pvp will look like as a result is completely irrelevant, and as long as i can one shot people and benefit then extremes and ovl are obviously better for the entire game. I mean claws and weapons are definitely comparable to stat boosting potions, and since they are already borderline broken, that obviously means that jagex should allow potions that would finally turn them into an officially broken weapon!!! wtf is wrong u noobs l2 herblore. wild isn't dangerous enough WE NEED MORE DPS AND KO POTENTIAL PLOX.
  12. If you get 99 fm it will be worth it for pking. Lol it's worth it for pking at any FM level.
  13. I didn't even know there were places that required a code from a bank. Seriously which websites are you talking about that have such a thing? The only other code similar is the CSV code, which is also found on the credit card.
  14. Even though it's mage based i think it has something to do with str/att level, or maybe even total CB. I never see it hit above 350 when facing anybody lower than 100 CB.
  15. I like this, but I would really hope there's another bonus xp weekend that i can lvl a bunch of buyable skills in....
  16. The helms normally disappear from the game really often due to low alch price. They won't disappear anymore, and the over inflated price right now will go back to normal, and considering it's the most ridiculously overinflated, it's probably going to crash the hardest.
  17. lol i don't exactly see how it's hard to get a drop. It has a ton of hp and u most likely are going to have time to hit it, and pretty much everyone that does damage gets it. Got paws and hat first try. Ruby bolt spec caps at 500 btw. It's pretty much being massed on every world, no food needed lol.
  18. Void effect won't work unless you put void gloves instead of barrows.
  19. i_trollz_u replied to RESULTS's topic in Rants
anybody with 70+ def and 70+str could probably beat any 1 def pure anyway. Pures stop being OP around like lvl 80 lol, don't worry about it. All they can do is fight low lvl accounts anyway.
  20. Why not? What skills are involved in pvp then? Will a hybrid that uses prayers well really have the same win/loss ratio as someone who doesn't? If I can extrapolate correctly, PKers knowingly give their opponents a chance to win the chance to win in return. This is the PKer mentality and why Pkers find it dishonorable to safe. I disagree with this mentality because I think there are things that you can do in RS combat that make luck less important of a factor. If that's your philosophy, you can go to grave with it, but don't expect to be fought fairly if you do. I'd be very much content running on full food and safing(in addition to praying, ofcource) every time i see you in wilderness if you insist on praying. There is no need to waste my time and money on someone who fights not to die. I fight to win. I am not sure if they will have the same win:loss ratio, but i'm 100% sure a better skilled pker will be making more money if they don't pray(mostly because they use less supplies). If you don't give your opponent a chance to win, there is no reason to expect others to give you a chance, and if everyone uses cheap tactics on you, pking will be very boring. People pk mostly because of fun, and long fight that end with no winner are the least enjoyable, and praying really creates all those situations. Really, the best skiller analogy i can make to praying in nonmulty is people crashing you in a nonmulty training spot- it doesn't benefit either player and makes training more frustrating. People do it out of convenience, just as people would pray in order to not die. If everyone played to not die, wilderness would be very boring. I never saw PKing as a way of money-making. Including EP farming time I don't think it's very efficient. I see and understand your perspective. But if this is the case, why do people complain about weapons being overpowered? Although they can still KO you, they arent "overpowered" as long as you pray. Prayers aren't overpowered either; it's still pretty easy to die even if you have like 2 seconds of lag and are praying. Even with you praying and safing shark-brew, it still might be possible to KO you if you don't retaliate at all, have no healing from SS, etc. provided I have the right gear and stuff on me. just guessing here, but with good luck a dscim spec followed by a barrage stacked with a claws then two maul hits should be able to KO someone safing (the barrage makes it so that you might switch to range gear -> claws might be more accurate if you leave range gear on) Not at mid levels (90-105) and against anybody with reasonable defense and gear that is praying melee and safing with tails+brews (Maybe if you're like a maxed 1 def pure and get extremely lucky, but otherwise it's pretty much impossible for most pker builds.) Hell, the d scim is going to miss like 60% of the time anyway, and maul isn't that accurate or fast enough to ko someone without them being able to eat/tele.
  21. Spoken like a typical skiller. And a wbm  edit: damn it blood^ Spoken like a typical troll. If you brag about planning to PJ, lure, and hunt skillers, you are a [cabbage]bag. And people like that are responsible for giving PKers the bad name that many oh-so-detestable-skillers associate with them. Go back to the RSOF, and take your little buddies with you. It's quite fun to piss people like yourself off. But you aren't pissing me off. You're just making yourselves look like conceited, immature trolls. You're the one flaming pkers and crying over how mean everyone is going to be when the wild comes back. You should stop trolling now. kthxbye.
