  1. This is the correct thing to do in that situation. Same applies for people who report for someone stating a starred word. It is simply idiotic to even contemplate a report for following. Or you could just stop following, how hard can that be? and it saves people trouble.
  2. The first thing people are going to tell you is train slayer. That's very much true, its a great way to train combat! But other than that, good moneymakers at your current (close future) levels include: chopping yews farming ranarrs +toadflax (32 farm for ranarrs) should take several oak + apple trees (27) max. hunting green drags (might want to get 60s in A/S/D before you try) Also, get 43 prayer, 38 is just in the middle of nowhere.
  3. No, costume room on top of quest hall doesn't work, and dungeon stairs are only on basement level. If your afraid of ruining something in your house, maybe you can tell us the layout so we can help :
  4. Oh, you have to burn more marrs with 800k bones compared to 50, idk exactly how much that's gonna cost though. But normal bones are uberly slow.
  5. Either construction/ smithing with SC hammers. Crafting is also good for slightly cheaper (30m approx) with SC needles. Or you might be able to buy 99 ranged with chins, or even 99 mage +hp at once with bursting rock lobs (gets a lot of charms for summoning too!) All those are great choices to do with 50m! \
  6. Haha, I bought 80 cons as a first priority, before BCP/ whip, etc. Dungeons do count toward limit, and the g altar is very sexy, and should be built if you have the level (69 minimum). What I hated about adding/modeling my house was building the stairs. I removed the room below the stairs without knowing that you actually didn't have to, and I built a dungeon entrance without dungeon stairs under it #-o . So just becareful when using high priced items like gold leaves/ marble blocks.
  7. Giant spideys in third level of SoS.
  8. No, you need 100% each day before the update to get the full results, but I heard you should still profit even at 60%. Yeah you musn't confuse these things. Approval is stored day by day. However the items you get aren't generated until you ask for them, whihc is why u can swap from raw fish to aples then withdraw and get all maples. However just becuz u have 100% at the time doesn't mean u get 100% for each day u left it. But yeah 2 weeks shuld be fine, it only drains around 1% a day and anything above 80% still gives gr8 profit, and anything above about 60% still gives profit. Are you sure? I remember I put one worker on mahogany for the fremenik diary, then the next day I switched it, and after two more days of waiting, I still got mahogany logs. :?

  10. I just want to say, with combat and skilling, it REALLY started to become unbalanced with the release of GWD. The GWD is just TOO GOOD a money maker, people were literally making hundreds of millions in days! The only thing that comes close the GWD in terms of average gp/hr is double nats graahk runecrafting at level 91. But how many people have 91 rc? not much. What I'm saying is that too many people can use the GWD to make money way too easily. It just doesn't make people want to train skills anymore, they can get all the money they need from hilt drops. This also screwed over RS in terms of buyable skills. Because a lot of people now have hundreds of millions of gp, they will want to buy skills, and getting a skill like smithing to 99 just because you dunno where to spend the money and not because you actually like the skill totally defeats the purpose. I think I kinda wandered away from my point there, but O well. I just think Jagex released way too many high end drops in such a short amount of time. Since the release of GWD in Aug 07 (was it? i forgot), we have gotten corp beasts (200m drops  ) and TDs (30m d claws). But before that, we only had whips and dag kings, whose prices have dropped fast after its release, while the prices of GS's have still stayed at 50m :| . Regardless, combat is basically the only way you can get rich w/o doing much work now -.-
  11. So apparently the title can't be wrong? Honestly, something being WRONG doesn't mean it needs to be banned. Lying is an obvious example. It is clearly wrong, but it is impossible for Jagex to create a system to identify liars or waste a lot of manpower doing it themselves. Junk trading also forces people to pay over the odds for some items too. Is this not the same type of thing to make you pay an over-the-top price? Mod MMG actually condones junk trading as per his statements a while back stating it actually provides a use for those items. You're telling me you'd never take advantage of such a thing if you just happened to have an item that went to a fairly high price? Leaving out capping, lets say item X is normally worth 5m and you had one. It surges to 8m and you know that's way above the normal price. You wouldn't try to sell it, knowing its price will drop again? Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. We're all guilty of some form of price manipulation at some time. You've never sold something in the g.e. at the highest price? This affects it. If Jagex hit people with price manipulation bans there would be very few of us left. In the end we all want to pay the lowest prices and recieve the highest prices for our stuff. If players weren't so daft as to pay over the odds for things in the first place and had a bit of patience this wouldn't happen. One person selling one item because he was following the graph is not price manipulation. It's more like merchanting, knowing when to buy and when to sell. Price manipulation is when an ORGANIZED group buys out the entire stock of an item and doesn't sell it. This will cause people to pay max to buy the item but they still won't be able to buy it, this keeps going in a circle until the group decides to dump the item and make millions of profit, while the people who bought the items lose millions. ^That is like organised crime. Irl, lately, I saw this program on chinese television (im visiting atm), about the prices of steel going up buy $700/ton, then dropping buy $600/ton the next couple of days. The government has already ARRESTED people to do with it, I heard it was a group of four australians.
  12. [hide=] lol your kidding right? there is no difference if your training the combat skill seperately or all at once. you DONT save time, no you even waste it... Its PROVEN that whip + defender/whip + dfs/whip + wooden-shield IS better than SS, thats because ss has the same stats and speeds like whip. I know people who have alot of spare money prefer it because its sooo fancy and expensive.. the xp lost is a rumor, i dont think its true. And i cant understand those peoples training def 99, with att/str 70, it WILL take longer then training on controlled.. (at least go for 90+ man) The only reason why most of the scapers prefer training their combat levels seperately is because their greedy for shiny levels and 99s, i can understand this though, who doesnt want it, but training seperately is NOT faster. [/hide] Calling people who doesnt train controlled "greedy" isn't right. There are other reasons: like being able to pvp better, tank better, etc. The speed totally depends on the monster your training on, and if you need a high def to train on a monster, it probably isnt worth it anyways. Let's look at the most popular training places today: flesh crawlers, barely hit anything on anyone that has 30+ def. armoured zombies, I never tried these, but from my understanding, you use the altar upstairs? ape atoll monkey, again, with the use of prayer, makes def useless. Chinning, use of prayer again yaks, no need for def here.
  13. Your farming level does not affect the death rate. I was farming irits to train my herblore, and at 75 farm, they weren't much different than at 50 farm. Though I can't confirm on this, for some reason, i feel that my herbs were dieing more as of late, I've had 5 runs of at least one plant dieing. Though it might just be my luck. And don't pay for your yews, as each payment is close to 30k. But whether paying for calquats is up to you. You can add a poison ivy run each day to fund for calquats, or you can just not pay for it. However, the calquats take a whole day to grow, and thats 13k exp every day, I'd rather have the exp than wait another day if the tree dies.
  14. Hockey (ice hockey) > Football.
  15. Economically speaking, it's not a good idea to pay for calquats. 1 payment is 8k, whereas only 1 in 10 calquats die. You'd save more money by not paying for the calquats. But you plant the poison ivy yourself, and get 100% exp instead of 90%, so i'd say its worth it. I thought it was a death rate of 1/8? Anyways, poison ivy seeds are relatively cheap, and you can even leave the bushes and not plant new ones. Doesn't make a difference. Just because you planted the thing yourself, doesn't mean it's free. You could've sold the berries for money, so you're still paying for the payment. Calquats are 40k each and each payment is 8k each. Death rate is 1/10 (1/8 would make it worse anyway). If you paid for your trees, you'd be paying 80k to save 1 seed over the course of 10 seeds. If you didn't pay, you'd just lose 40k over the course of 10 seeds. That means you are paying 80k for 1 Calquat tree. That means you are paying double for the same seed. This is pretty subjective though. I myself prefer to pay for the seeds, since I would gladly pay that extra 40k to save 1 day of farming. However, economically speaking, paying for the calquats is a bad idea. I thought the death rate of 1/10 was because of the disease free patch for herbs, not sure though. But yea, I pay for calquats the exact same reason you do :

  17. Mine (before i lost members) Banner (saradomin) Ringmaster hat Spottier cape Boots of lightness Gloves of silence Charged glory Dueling ring
  18. Yea, but you can carry 5 hammers at a time if you use the normal butler for 20 planks. INV: $ H S P(n) P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P P S S S S H = hammer S = Saw P = planks (n) = noted that way you only need to bank once every 1 hr +1/2 or so.
  19. Calquats once a day, just run south from the brimhaven fruit tree patch. Also, since planting calquats requires 8 poison ivies as payment, I recommend you plant ivy patches. You only need to plant 2 of them, and here's the two i plant: Champions guild, use combat necklace teleport, and Rimmington patch, using skills necklace teleport. If you use spirit trees, and have one on ecteria, then you can use duel ring to MA, spirit tree to ecteria, then spirit tree to khazard battlefield and rune southeast to the ardy bush patch. But of course you can do all four patches if you want.
  20. Umm, 100+ chests w/o an item starting from run #1. I gave up.
  21. Limestone bricks are not worth it. All the furniture it builds requires like 1/2 bricks, and the butler price will be waaaay more than using oak planks.
  22. Duo arma would probably be faster than getting a few thousand SC points for all the tools needed. Each hammer lasts for 410 oak planks when making doors, so thats 41 doors. When using butlers, I use the human one because the demon butler cannot be used to its full potential due to its fast speed and 26 items carried. Also take into account if you use SC hammers, you also half the cost for your butler. I can't really make your decision, because duo arma depends on a lot of luck, since my luck isn't good and I dont know about your lsp, it makes it hard to say.
  23. This is even WORSE than the clan wars dangerous FFA portal. IMO, Pvp was so 2 years ago.
  24. I'd rather they could make an option on how to spend your member credits. I wish somehow they could create an option that allows me to lock my account for a two weeks/ a month (too short will be bad) like when I go on vacation, so the credit doesn't go to waste.
  25. Who cares a [bleep] about high level players? A skillcape is to show your level 99 in a skill, not how you got it. If I got to level 99 mining with a bronze pickaxe and tin ore, do I deserve more respect than someone who did it with a rune pickaxe and iron/coal ore? No. You can boast, sure, but who'd listen? Once again, great thread. Right, I haven't checked out this thread in a while after I first posted, but I was just saying that we'd get a lot of whining, you know? On the topic of respect for picaxes, I'm agreeing with you.
