This. Construction is by far one of the fastest skills to train. Stealing creation hammers speed the fast process even more and they dont cost anything. And buying oak logs and making planks from them only costs 320 gp for each plank. Because I know how to train Construction efficiently, I usually have way better con level than others from my level range. Even faster is if you use teak planks. Costs a little bit more, but if you cut the logs yourself, you will most likely obtain special teak logs, which can be used to make full inventory of logs to planks for free. And even thought you would buy the logs, it still only costs about 600 gp per plank. Making logs into planks actually makes profit if you sell the planks. You`ll get about 250 gp profit for teak planks and almost 300 gp for oak logs. Cutting the logs yourself will make minimum of 350 gp (because the random special logs can make logs for free.) for teak, and 370 gp for oak. I may had gone off topic, but hey, post still contains solid facts and tips. And when it comes to construction, I always defend it, since I love the skill. Well, construction isn't THAT cheap, still costs about 50m to achieve 99 with SC hammers. But definately cheaper than herb/summ/prayer. Anyway, OP is totally correct that herblore has gotten insanely expensive, but oh well. Nobody is forcing you to train it, spend your money elsewhere.

76-83 summoning 88-89 construction, was gonna get 90, but multiplier dropped below 2.1, and I was getting bored a little. 57-58 agility, and gonna continue that tomorrow.

Don't think jagex thought that because there would be 2.7 or so% as much exp that there would be 2.7 or so% as many randoms. Or maybe they left them in to annoy people. I know that I had 5 in the space of the first 20 mins whilst trying to make the most of the 2.7% before it went down. It was just plain annoying tbf. Ya, I got like 15+ randoms in the two hours it took me to get 99 summon. At first they were like every 5 damned minutes since with a 2.7 multiplier nail beast charms + blue charms = massive exp. I asked mod fnord before update if they scaled down randoms by the same factor as multiplier, never got an answer. I guess they didn't. :roll: I actually just left all of the boxes on the ground. May seem like a waste but whatever. Also just opted out of the leo gravedigger one. That one takes WAY too long. How do you opt out of a random?

Right now, RuneScape is pretty good, only problem is the price manipulating. But, pre-2007 was better IMO, but I have a feeling that RS is coming into another "golden age". However, late 2007- until late 2008 was pure crap.

My school has banned the use of cell phones during school. Meaning you can't use it during classes, or the 5 minute breaks. If you need to use it, you have to go outside during lunch hours. However, I have noticed a LOT of people disobeying this. There are so many kids who text in my class, I can't even count them with my fingers. Honestly, what's so important that you have to text during class? Can't you at least do it between classes in a corner? I mean, it's not like the teachers don't know, when you've got you book on your lap and your hands in there too (both of them), isn't it so obvious? I think the teachers have gotten tired of confiscating these things. Personally, I don't think it's right. First, it's against the rules of the school. Also, its a distraction, and I honestly can't understand what it is that's so important -.- . What do you guys think? Do you think schools should allow cell phones? Does your school allow them?

Always, it adds up pretty fast on higher level monsters such as gargoyles. I had 20k in cash in a task of gargoyles just from picking up coins. I do it when there are no monsters near by for me to kill though, so i usually kill 3-4, then pick up the drops, repeat.

Then he passed away, which is ironic because that guy in the pic is saying it :mellow: That was back when there were only 3 Zezimas (I use his name synonymously with maxed players): Zezima, The Old Nite, and N0valyfe. Poor guy. He maxed his stats before construction came out. Then N0valyfe briefly overtook Zezima as number one for two weeks. Then hunter came out, and N0valyfe stopped playing and Zezima took the number one spot again, only to lose it forever when summoning came out. 2006, good times. Rares were stagnating alarmingly, Duke Freedom was in full operation, Leesters was still around, and Muggiwhplar wasn't banned yet. 2006 was the best... By far my favourite year in RuneScape.. And that screenshot is kind of creepy tbh o_O Haha, yea, and theres lots of stuff going on in just 5 lines of chat. I also remember seeing Duke Freedom's bank picture, it was :shock:

Hey, this topic was revived at a pretty good time. Last week, all the raw ingredients were pretty much unbuyable, so I had to play a DIY style. It was pretty fun actually, planning out your mining/ construction/ slayer time and changing them up instead of grinding.

I'm neutral to this change. Although I would very much like to have the old wilderness back, without the ditch, bounty crater, targets assigned, etc.

Hehe, level 117 and still going strong with a saradomin cape :razz: Although eventually I hope to get a skill cape because I think they look pretty awesome. I never judge people based on the cape they wear, but if some person decides to brag about his fletch/cook capes to me and others, then I would tell him to shut up and think about why he wasted 50 hours of playing time for a cape skill he doesn't even enjoy.

Hey I just made 2.5k mahoganys for the weekend, but then i sold them =/. Anyway, at 85 mage, i used a mind bomb to boost, and got around 2.5 invs per bomb. So if you already have 86 I would suppose it would go even faster. Also, the exp rate is very fast, at least over 100k/hr, I didn't keep track, but it was REALLY fast. As for money, i think i made some money during the weekend, got around 3k logs from mtk, paid 215 per astral and 225 per nature. 1050+215*2+225=1705. I dont think mahogany planks are over 300ea if you get them from mtk. But since this was a special period of time, then I think you might lose some money unless you cut logs yourself.

Yea, the backdoor entrance is very useful, and iirc you need climbing boots so dont forget those. Just use a slayer ring/fairy ring to get there.

Remember to play with a group of people, be it using the theme world or play with your friends. You get points for other peoples flags too.

I don't recommend using a dueling ring, either use a glory or stick with a cheap tele like falador/varrock. Dueling rings are very expensive these days. :angry:

I used house in taverly, house tele, obelisk, fally tele, bank and repeat. It's pretty fast, but nowhere near as fast as kyatt =P
