  1. If you have the slayer level, Abyssal Demons are wonderful
  2. Epic "Tipit + Greg" 5-man team we did on floor 13 I believe. Our boss was a level 400 Bulwark Beast, who we did pretty well on. When the creature began to focus on me though, he killed me faster than I could eat. Kind of embarassing since everyone else seemed to be doing fine! =P All in all, it was great fun, and gained us about 15k xp! We decided we would take a picture that looks just like the front cover =P The attendees were: Erichermit (Middle) Link Olaran (Mid-Left) Naive (Mid-right) Dume Dude (far-right) Gregm (far-left)
  3. You shouldn't have to worry about whether or not monsters in certain areas drop scrolls or not anymore. It was an issue during the time that I was completing the first 10 scrolls as when jagex started adding new versions of old monsters they completely forgot about the champions challenge (even for some monsters who were just graphical remakes!) But just in case anyone is wondering (though these are probably obvious) Moss/Fire/Ice giants do NOT drop giant scrolls. Only Hill Giants count. This is because hill giants were called "giants" back when the Champion's Challenge was first released. Skeletal Wyverns are not skeletons and do not drop Skeleton Scrolls.
  4. Which is why I don't advocate giving capes for 120. I think they should release 120 but simply not give any way to show it beyond quick chat.
  5. I would recommend against a different kind of cape for 120. Capes make people feel obligated to train to a level, and I know many people quit simply because they decided to go for a boring 99. I understand that people SHOULDNT feel this way, but they most definitely do. Instead, I would say let the levels grow past 99 for the sake of improved speed and the like. For example, I'll use fishing as an example. Let fishing levels go up to 120, but don't release a single fish past level 99. The higher levels merely serve as a way to increase your speed while fishing. That way, the skill "caps" at 99, but truly diehard fans of the skill can push past 99. In the case of Runecrafting I would still not recommend access to any more guaranteed rune multipliers, but it would improve your chances to bind 2x bloods etc. But your chances, not giving you 100% success. (I would also recommend allowing there to be a chance for 3x nats, astrals, etc.) I'm aware not all skills have "partial rewards" (IE, things that allow higher levels to increase speed/efficiency without adding in new available content.) such as slayer, herblore, smithing, etc. Levelling these past 99 should simply be for aesthetic reasons.
  6. Thanks, Jagex. Call it Demon Island, Dem Island, Demheim, etc. but not dung island.
  7. What I find so humorous is that nobody remembers how often they ban people for this and how easily it is detected. Are the only thoughts in their head "OH WOW I CAN GET FAST RC XP NOW!!!" Fat lot of good that xp will do if you're banned.
  8. I was thinking this exactly. What if Jagex already made a 2nd batch much like summoning and that we soon get a 2nd dungeon to explore? :o I wouldn't recommend they release it soon. I'd expect at least a year to pass, possibly more, before we see another dungeon.
  9. At first I thought the concept of this being a skill was ridiculous, but then I began to think about it. Yes, everything about the way this things runs screams "It's a minigame!" but I believe that when Jagex was adapting this into Runescape, but certain things make somewhat sense here. The requirment of levels to buy certain equipments and the like could easily have done through "ranks" or something similar, but having 1-99 available ranks fits into a skill fairly well. Also, nowhere does it say that Demonheim IS Dungeoneering. Demonheim is simply the only way to Dungeoneer. Have you not considered the possibility of other Instance Areas in the future? Having them all be able to tie each other together through dungeoneering is the best way to do this. And lastly, I honestly don't give a damn what it's called. It's fun and I like it, so I'm going to play it even if the title seems a might bit off.
  10. The game sounds very impressive, but I kind of wish there was a solo option? I am reminded of Barbarian Assault with this skill, and the tortures that having a low skill can cause. Also, part of what I enjoy about most of runescape is my ability to just log in and log off at any minute should I suddenly decide to do something else. If I have to find a group every time I want to play this skill, it wont be easy. Also, could someone explain the whole max level 120 thing? I'm not really sure why they chose that. Overall, it looks fun, though I have a few gripes.
  11. I honestly think they should do away with the events. I don't give half a crap about the runescape easter bunny or santa. I even couldn't care less about the Grim Reaper (though the Halloween Events tend to be better than the others.) A season themed quest but one that isn't exactly specific are so much better. It broadcasts the "mood" so to say, but the content isnt wasted.
  12. Thank You! I'll look into testing this out and re-including Bandos Mages. However, this will probably take me a while :x
  13. I thought the ad looked kind of cool actually. It'd help if you didn't save it as a jpeg?
  14. In all honesty, Im surprised to see this from you, Lep. Just because you don't personally like the recent updates, you assume that everyone thinks jagex has been making bad updates lately? I've greatly enjoyed most of the recent updates.
  15. Yeah, the guide has become horribly archaic. It will be re-update sometime in the Summer.
  16. Depends on the monster, but most of the time a Berserker(i) is what you want. Onyx(i) has uses against creatures where defense and accuracy are an issue, for example, really powerful monsters.
  17. Aha I see. I'm not sure if I actually want to work around that though. Good to know for the harder to earn rocks though.
  18. What do you mean "Switching Skills"? Do you mean switching to another skill after getting each single rock?
  19. I would like it if we could at least feel like we saved Dahmaroc. I support the idea of a purely cosmetic update, but I'd feel like I accomplished something if I did more than do nothing but give him a taste of life before he explodes again.
  20. Unfortunately, my opinion is that hunting clues for cash really isn't all that efficient as the money yield from clues just really isn't what it used to be. That said, a lot of people find them to be more enjoyable than other methods of gathering cash, so if you find it a fun enough way to earn money, it's worth it.
  21. There is no benefit to having more than one champion scroll. You just got extremely lucky. Well, it'd be lucky if the second one actually did anything. Congratulations on the scroll though!
  22. God, this sounds horrible. This is quite possibly the most disappointed I've been at Jagex in forever.
  23. Don't forget about White Gloves and Boots. (I think Bandos Boots give a prayer bonus too? might be better.) I think one of the treasure trail hats is better prayer bonus too actually. As for a weapon, you should be holding one of the treasure trail staves. (Though I think the void mace might be better?)
  24. I like the idea of the trailer. Ascii hasn't spoken to me in a while, but last I heard it wasn't working. I gave her some advice but im not sure if she was able to fix it.
