  1. Way to go, Jagex, logic is your strongsuit! Oh, and it's quite vexing that one can bring cats into the area. This update, imo, won't change much. It'll be good for getting rid of harder to sell items, but for most transactions, I think that people will still use World 2 once the novelty of this dies down.
  2. Silly goose, trimmed rune is like SOOOO yesterday. =; On topic, I like Rune (g) the best.
  3. Exactly how I feel. I agree that they probably did it to make things harder, though.
  4. Actually, you were keen to pick up on that allusion to the "doomsday clock." But it wasn't about the GE. :XD: And I like the idea about the friends list, but it'd be less effort for them to just program it into the specifications of Clan Chat to allow all people in a CC with you to see your items upon death.
  5. Was the "one-minute-rule" change really necessary? What was the thought behind it? For those who don't know what I am talking about, your stuff does not appear to other players until one minute after your death. This leaves one minute until it vanishes, as opposed to two before this update. Now, why did they make this update? Was it to benefit noobs? Noobs are often too clueless to know how to get back to their own stuff before the one minute "safe period" elapses. This doesn't help them at all. Did Jagex make it in order to give "knowledgeable players" a break? If that was their motivation, it just shows how out-of-touch they were with their players, not that THAT is anything new. Now, I've consistently harped on it, but what made me make this thread was that tonight, my friend died at Bandos and no one was able to get his stuff because of the one-minute rule. He died shortly before the boss died, so by the time it appeared, the boss reappeared and everybody had to teleport. This update also destroyed KQing, as with the D Chain at only 5m each with a two-person team, the reward doesn't outweigh the risk factor. If someone gets KOed, most likely his or her partner WILL NOT be able to stay long enough to get the pile. I don't know if it was necessary to make a thread about this issue, but I wanted to get this off my chest. I still feel that this ranks as the second worst update of all time, with the third-worst being Pure Essence and the worst being the molestation of the Duel Arena and the illegitimate "child" it produced (i.e. the extremely poorly designed Tournament System.) So in conclusion, seeing as this was an intentional change (though I cannot fathom why it was made) there is a simply way to please both parties. Leave the one-minute-rule, but make it so that anybody in your clan chat is exempt to the rule... Ta-da, the noobs can still retrieve their stuff and high levels do not have to suffer when killing team-bosses.
  6. I prefer my Zammy gs, tbh. I am a CW addict, and it owns there.
  7. The censor itself is plainly pathetic :/ As much as i agree, when you create your account you agree to go by the rules and one of them is offencive language. The censor is there for a reason. Without it, you see what the game would be like, with all these prepubescent kids who are just achieving freedom and feel they are "cool" for swearing.
  8. I don't get why Zezima still plays... At 99 all, the game would get boring... And you couldn't do any pasttime events like Castle Wars or Pitz, because you'd constantly have a bagillion noobs ruining your team.
  9. This guy is the epitome of why marketing to kiddies has ruined the community.
  10. dont get it. :| No one has slept because they were too busy no-lyfing RS. :-$
  11. They won't remove trading, as you have to trade to complete Shield of Aarav and Hero's Quest.
  12. I wonder if Summoning will be this half-baked. :shame:
  13. I hope this is how Summoning operates: 1) You cannot be targeted by anything other than multi-target magic spells (which will hit both you and your Familiar, regardless if you are in single or multi-way combat) while you have a Familiar summoned. In turn, you cannot directly attack the opponent, but while a Familiar is summoned, you gain a new set of abilities when you right-click on somebody. Left clicking an opponent will cause the familiar to physically attack them, while you would be able to choose from other attacks on the right-click menu, which would vary depending on the Familiar. Trade/follow options would be disabled while you have a Familiar present. 2) It requires a several second animation to summon a Familiar, which if you perform any action, stops the Summoning Ritual. This includes moving, eating, or teleporting. Stronger Familiars would require a longer ritual to call forth. In addition, you can fail the Summoning Ritual. 3) Your Familiar has a limited amount of damage it can sustain; naturally, higher level Familiars have higher HP, hopefully up to 255 for a level 99 Summoning Familiar. 4) Your Familiar vanishes after a certain period of time elapses, provided it is not slain. The amount of time your Familiar stays by your side would depend on your Summoning level. There might also be a "cool-down" period after summoning a creature, during which you could not summon that creature. This would mainly apply to the higher level, more powerful Familiars. Also, there might be a "special bar" for Familiars, which gradually decreases until it reaches zero (after which the Familiar vanishes) as you perform special activities such as maybe having a Familiar super-heat ore for you. 5) Experience would be awarded for a variety of different tasks, such as having a Familiar super-heat ore for you (which would give Smithing experience AND Summoning experience) or the Familiar dealing damage to a target (it would give controlled experience, to whatever type of combat you had it perform, as well as to Summoning.) Ideally, you would also receive experience for performing a successful Summoning Ritual.
  14. I think it should be illegal to rant about updates when you know nothing about them... Not ranting about an update. I am simply expressing concern about one part of the update, that if not properly designed, will destroy what's left of the combat system. If you can use Familiars to aid you in combat, they need to design it so that you, yourself, cannot attack the opponent with anything other than magic spells.
  15. As I've said in other threads, it speaks volumes about Jagex's public approval when people actually consider updates like "removing player-to-player trading" as possible. Jagex have dug themselves a deep, deep hole with this.
  16. Well, it'd be great not to get attacked by those goddamn Wild Dogs anymore. But I, too, think it'll be like Slayer and deal with combat indirectly. I hope it's like the Aeons in FFX, though, where you can't personally attack or be attacked while your Familiar is present. Otherwise, being able to have a Familiar hit a 20 while you hit a 49 with a whip would destroy combat.
  17. Thanksgiving, stop abusing this short sweet time without moderators (who have lives and want to be with their families on the holiday) and continually posting crap after crap. This topic is horrendous and disgusting is worst imaginable way. Don't be such a boy-scout. Have a little fun. =P~
  18. LOL, your username is Winner but you lost :XD: Veracs is overpowered. Seriously. I am level 123 with max melee stats and the highest melee defense possible, and I lost to a level 100 who had full Veracs.
  19. ROFL Jordan, that's priceless, considering the context of this thread.
