  1. Wow, Paul Gower is on your friends list?! It looks more like it's edited today. Not trying to accuse cannnicus, just my opinion. bad quality :-# Doesnt got to be AMAZING quality, How many people in the world have the name Paul? :? Some people DO have short names like that on RS, believe it or not. :-s Well, since Paul was one of the two guys who created the game... :-k That doesn't mean it's him. o_O You're a moron, quit while you're ahead. It's a widely known fact that Paul, brother of Andrew Gower, and the co-creater/founder of RuneScape/Jagex, has the account named 'Paul'. It's a Jagex mod account, it's his. Don't try to argue it. C-C-COMBO BREAKER!!!
  2. If they shift their focus to Mechscape, I would definately quit. The only reason I have stayed around in RS this long is because of the time I've invested. I am NOT going to put up with Jagex's bullcrap again.
  3. All I have to say to these comments is that I am happy for the both of you. The only way anyone can have these views is if they are both young and lucky enough that they've never had to live with depression or other serious issues. I hope you remain care-free and ignorant enough to be this judgmental of others for as long as possible. Enjoy it while you can. This is false both in terms of ethics and as a matter of law. I could give countless examples. Were it not for their actions, there is no doubt in my mind that the girl would be alive today. They did cause the girl to kill herself. The people who did this knew the girl and what her condition was. That makes what they did all the worse. The larger point is that when someone bullies another on the Internet, you never know what the impact will be on the other person. Qeltar, you upset me by arguing back. I'm going to kill myself now. (No I'm not going to kill myself, because I am intelligent) Read that, and think to yourself how that sounds. "This is false both in terms of ethics and as a matter of law. I could give countless examples." In terms of ethics that's true. In terms of law, it is not. Qeltar, you're a smart guy and you post a lot of interesting things... your website is pretty nice as well. But can you please not post threads like this anymore? They're too controversial and can lead to stupid arguments and comments, as well as flaming. Oh yes, let's all just stick out heads in the sand and pretend that the world is cherry. Isn't the purpose of a forum to debate issues? And yes, as someone said earlier, there is a definite lack of compassion in this thread. Just think how much worse it'd be if Qeltar posted the story in the RSOF. I literally would expect someone to post "lol she got owned, wot an emo noob." Oh, and I personally loathe the term "emo." Popular culture has used it to completely defile what depression truly is. These days, anyone who is depressed or has suicidal thoughts is labeled as an emo... It is pure ignorance and is quite infuriating. I would bet one thousand dollars you wouldn't go before Megan's parents' face and call their daughter a 'pathetic emo.' Anyone who uses that term should be kicked in the genitals.
  4. According to various posts in RSC, somebody in Jagex staff messed up and allowed some kind of keylogger to infect the server, so they had to take everything offline. Now, so typical of Jagex, they hid all the threads about it and are locking any further threads. Covering their tracks, instead of being forthright with their customers. Bastards.
  5. Jagex cares? That's why I reported the same person for three consecutive days at Pest Control, who was using an auto-typer to scam people, only to find them there a week later, doing the exact same thing?
  6. Rock Crabs and Experiments are infested by pures. Do Slayer.
  7. QFT=quoted for truth. Oh, and if you'd be so kind, define nerd.
  8. I've had similar afflictions as well and I think about suicide every day. Does that make me a moron too? BTW, Hell doesn't exist. When you're dead you're dead. The end. Nothing afterwards. Just because you think it's true doesn't mean it is. Darkpoop0 believes in hell, you have to respect that. Same for you, Dizzle. Darkpoop0, stop being a jackass. ------ Qeltar, please post this on the RSOF, if you haven't already. That's a banwish waiting to happen. The people on the RSOF are too ignorant to fully comprehend the gravity of both the Megan incident and the effects their behavior have on other people. They would most likely reply with "lol she got pwned" or "wot an idoit."
  9. QFT. I've had a level 120+ person ask me where Varrock was. I've seen a level 112 ask how you win in Castle Wars. Idiots existed before PC, but when those idiots went to PC, they came out as "high level idiots." It's disgusting.
  10. It's F2P... What do you expect? They seriously need to ban all trading of f2p items with people who are P2P. (In other words, people whose accounts register as "subscribed" cannot trade with people in F2P.) It'd drastic, but it would deal a heavy blow to the f2p yew macros.
  11. I believe Jagex could actually take legal action against the domain owner, for copyright infringement, at the very least. I don't know if phishing is actually against the law, but that website certainly breaks copyright laws as it is exactly the same as the runescape website, including the "copyright information" at the bottom.
  12. In addition to having a teleport closer to the Lunar Isle, I think the Lunar spellbook also needs a spell that blocks the opponent's usage of protection prayers for a period of at least one minute. The Lunar book is supposed to be for assistance magicks, and this would a perfect way to make the book more widely used when PKing. It's absurd that less than 100k exp can negate half of a level 99 skill, which is over 6M exp... There needs to be a way to counter it, and adding a "Block Prayer" spell in a book that is impractical for PKing would make that book more popular.
  13. That would be so cool if players could own that No. It wouldn't. Adding player-owned dogs would just exacerbate the problems that people still encounter with the cats. They'd just be another clickable npc that gets in the way.
  14. I once got a freaky forester random and there was a level 3 with a Chinese name like xaoyang12 stuck in there. I logged out to go eat dinner, came back 20 minutes later, that level 3 was still in there. :anxious:
  15. I agree... Those people are commonly known as "lookers." Although, judging a buyer by his or her level doesn't always mean anything, because I had a level 49 trade me and actually pay me about 1m more than the current market price for my BGS when I was selling it to downgrade back to Zammy. He then proceeded to merchant it :P
  16. I wouldn't worry too much... Chances are the prices on most, if not all, raw materials will drop after the Great Exchange comes out.
  17. Nah, you're wrong about what needs to be updated. They need to fill in the high-level range of abilities in skills (the 85-99 range.) I, personally, am sick of every update which they (scarcely) give high levels being combat AND luck-based. I want to see them add more things to do at high levels in skills like Herblore, Agility, Crafting, Runecrafting, Farming, Slayer, Fletching, and Woodcutting.
  18. It may not be content theft; it might be a phishing attempt.
  19. Magical [wagon] could be Magical Donkey. Never thought of that, eh? :-w
  20. Transfer Special/Heal Other. Fail'D.
  21. Just when Jagex looked like they were making progress towards erring on the mature side for updates, they went and blew everything to hell with that damned "one minute death rule" and the Assist System. The OMDR was meant to benefit newer, less mature players, but in reality, it benefits nobody. Newer players are likely not knowledgable enough to be able to reach their stuff before it appears to others, and higher levels are punished directly because they have to put themselves at a significant risk to save their partners' items at tough bosses. This single-handedly killed KQing, as the risk is not worth the reward anymore. Now, for the Assist System... It was made as an anti-scam measure, but honestly, "trust trades" were not that common, and only idiots fell for scams involving them. If you were smart, you'd look someone up before trading your gems/ores and then also take into account their skill total and combat level... Chances are, a level 115+ or someone with over 1500 total will not risk their account being banned for a few items.... But the masses are too stupid to realize that. Therefore, everyone must suffer. Now, nothing really changed with this update, true enough, except it propagated begging. The removal of the resource gathering skills was a step in the right direction, but you still have noobs following high levels begging them to "assist with onyx crafting/smithing." In summary, this was an overly drastic and poorly implemented way of removing a scam that was easily preventable and not very threatening. (So what if a noob lost a few rubies or diamonds?) Oh, and the way combat is designed is a further testament to the underaged marketing of this game. In a duel, a level 105 has as much a chance of winning as his level 115 opponent.... It's a marketing ploy, so that lower leveled youngsters do not become discouraged and quit because they were obliterated by a higher level (which is what SHOULD happen, and WOULD happen in any other RPG)
  22. Oh so you are like... a teacher... dont recall needing one... Point is this whole thing is fueled by merchant hatred. Those who hate and show jealousy will not reason to reason, so im giving them something to hate even more. If I needed your teachings or thought I had made a mistake that might be different... but I dont need to be taught. And I dont wnat to get into it, but Duke is the person I respect least due to his hipocracy so he wont get a civil response out of me. GET. IT. THROUGH. YOUR. SKULL. THAT. WE. ARE. NOT. JEALOUS. Are you that self-absorbed that you think that anyone who argues against the importance of a party hat is just jealous because they lack one of their own? Jesus [bleep]ing Christ, you are bordering on narcissism.
  23. Actually, Yet again your ignorance doesnt allow you to learn from your mistakes. If 5-6 people are attacking you, thats a hint of you doing something wrong. "Only a select few can get a party hat, so I am better then people who achieve skillcapes'', thats a rough translation to you. I suggest you take critism, take your time to learn from your posts. Like most of the people around here. We are not your enemy's, we are not the dark side, we don't care about your feelings, your items, your intelligence or your real life. Just about your replies, so I suggest you stop trying to defend yourself and just take it like a man, instead of b*ing about like a child. I applaud to you if you read past the ignorance part. Since you would already be offended by that. I dont give into hypocritical nonsense driven by personal attacks. Instead, you use the same reply over and over and over, despite being shot down every single time. That is a tactic known as argumentum ad nauseum, and it is as bad if not worse than argumentum ad hominem, or the practice of using personal attacks as the basis for your argument.
  24. Wow, I am surprised Party Pete is in the lead. I voted for Duradel and Tzhaar.
  25. If you had actually been to his site, you'd realize how fallacious your statements are. He did not copy anything; he performed many experiments himself and recorded the data from them. His guides are far more thorough than any guides on a help-site. Showing off your vast wealth = bragging. You wear the party hats in order to get the "mindless masses" to fawn over you. It's bragging, you're just sugarcoating it. And yes, it's all just pixels... But the difference between writing guides about how to kill monsters for their pixel drops is that the pixel drops are actually USEFUL. They have a USE in the game, other than showing off. Party hats are USELESS except for bragging and asking for someone to attempt to brute-force your password.
