  1. Bleh, this is why I rarely talk to people in public chat anymore. I was once muted by a corrupt player moderator for saying "I'll bite you <3" to a friend of mine. I didn't even bother appealing it, because I knew there would be a 75% chance I would just get back a message saying "We have conclusive evidence you were in control of your account, and we like taking it up the [wagon]. Haha n00b." I'd rather just keep my 0.6 black marks than deal with the aberration that is their CS.
  2. I agree; just get a high enough level to use the blue dragon tube in Taverly Dungeon and then the skill is fairly useless. The time spent leveling is not made back in the marginal boost in energy gain.
  3. I have taken to alching in the God Wars dungeon, as it is a Random-Free-Zone. I get a teleport random approximately every 100 alchs, and usually, I get a random on the first alch whenever I log in. My account is cursed.
  4. Seriously... WTF? How did you do that without dying? It hits 20s each time.
  5. Here's the biggest tip on saving time: Never start playing RuneScape. :anxious: A serious response: for training combat, if you can afford it, Guthans is an invaluable resource. It will says you dozens of hours of banking to get more food.
  6. Alrighty, I modified it so that it's an additional part of the Herblore skill.
  7. Here's a way to improve herblore, so that it is more rewarding to level and more complete at high levels: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅChemistry̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  8. Well, here's my idea for a skill: ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅChemistry̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ
  9. Proper bug testing only comes when the code is exposed to more than the company itself, so that means on the day of release. Besides, Hunter isn't half-baked...at least I don't think so... Well, the implings did a lot for Hunter, but on the day of its release, it was very underdeveloped. I mean, the final thing you unlocked with it was in the low 70s... That's half-baked, in my opinion.
  10. I would personally like to see a "Chemistry" skill. It would complement herblore, in that you would often use ground herbs to create various concoctions, as well as sometimes using a dose of an actual potion in a concoction. This skill would allow you to heal yourself (as well as OTHER people, giving it a use in clan wars) more efficiently at high levels than you currently can with any food, as well as serving as an offensive skill in that you could administer certain toxins on enemies through the use of a hypodermic needle, significantly reducing various stats as well as causing highly potent poison damage (16 poison damage with the highest level toxin). Agility would come in to play, giving it a use, as at high agility you could "dodge" an opponent's attempts to use a HN on you, sometimes breaking the opponent's needle. I am currently working on a rough guide for the Chemisty Skill, which includes what you can do at each level.
  11. Nice idea... But how would item distribution upon "death" work?
  12. Personally, I think that we can lay off the whole 'new skill' thing for a while. There's plenty to do elsewhere, such as finish off quest storylines... +1 The only storyline they have finished thus far is the Dorgeshuun/HAM storyline, which is utterly pathetic. And for all you who say Summoning, give it up. It will likely NEVER happen, simply because of the strain it would put on the game's resources. Imagine the lag you get in world 2 falador and apply that everywhere if Summoning were released; with hundreds of players summoning NPCS, it would severely bog down the server bandwidth.
  13. I only want a new skill if it is properly bug-tested and fully developed, unlike the half-baked POS called Hunter.
  14. Thank God. Ever since I first noticed that [wagon] here, he has made ignorant post after ignorant post, often contributing nothing to the topic. And ironically, the first time I noticed him, he was defending his practice of "DK luring," blaming the people for not being smart enough to get out in time.
  15. .... Is that real? WHO?! un-trimmed slayer cape is so hard to get!!! It's gotta be fake. [/hide] It is :-# How do you know? I can assure you that picture is 100% genuine. Proof that it is fake.. Look at the red sides near his helm..now go eat a cookie. Not really. The shoulder pads are always the same color as the trim.
  16. Pc is for losers. And i dont know who he is but good interview. =D> Hey, I occasionally do PC when I am bored. :ohnoes:
  17. MechScape? I can't say, not won't, can't  And for our game err, not sure we still haven't built our dueling arena yet and jousting area. But to be serious about it and give a date, I would say: Don't expect anything until at least next christmas, there are only 3 people (including myself) that works on it. What's the name of your game, and is it browser-based/P2P?
  18. I did read it, and my point is that it is being used "figuratively" to mock people who really have very valid complaints. Just give up, Charles... This community is bent on sticking their heads in the sand and blindly believing that Big Brother (Jagex) is looking out for their best interests. It's futile trying to convince them otherwise.
  19. THE SKY IS FALLING, THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!
  20. Most 12 year olds use the word 'gay' as a derogatory insult that applies to anything, except they can't use that in RS, so they resort to the word 'noob' instead.
  21. According to Wikipedia, Mechscape is the working name of Jagex's side project, a space/sci-fi MMO that they've been working on for several years. This actually explains a lot, to be honest. What do you all think about this? I'll tell you what I think: One possible conspiracy theory about why RS has declined over the past couple years is that Jagex realizes the cesspool RS has become, and they realize the amount of work it would require to salvage the game, and they decided it's not worth it. That's why so many of the things that players have begged for have gone unnoticed and unfixed. That's why almost all of the quest storylines are unfinished, the important issues like the defunct Triange have gone unnoticed, and why Customer Support is so crappy. They are still making a killing off RS, so they intend to let it run its course while they start from ground zero on their new game, hopefully fixing the problems that plagued RS. But I honestly don't see how this new game will be any different, I mean.... Jagex is steeped in Java, so the game will likely have the same limitations, and in today's market, it will be extremely hard to get positive publicity with their new game if it keeps similar cartoony graphics to what RS has. Also, once the kiddies hear about the new game, they will infest it and crap in the pool like they did with RS. ALSO, with Jagex's horrid customer service, I just do not see any way their new game will survive. To be honest, by creating this new "side-project" they are cutting off their nose to spite their face. RS could be a brilliant game if they would just invest all their effort in fixing it, instead of starting over. Finally, November is Jagex's last chance to avoid losing one of their longest paying customers. If they don't release anything spectacular in November, come December first, I am unsubscribing. But hell, what do I matter to them? Even if I leave, I will just be replaced by ten whiny noobs who crap their pants and then beg Jagex to do something about it. Oh, and PS: I will probably end up checking out their new game if it has a trial, but there's no way in hell I am subscribing. Jagex has exhausted their credibility with me; the only reason I've put up with their BS for this long is because I've invested over half a decade of my life into their game and I do not fancy starting from scratch in a different MMO.
  22. Hi Dragonlordjl, It's really your choice whether you choose to use the Official RuneScape Forums on not. If you choose to post a valid rant/suggestion the volunteer team of moderators there will do their best to ensure the rules are followed on any legitimate thread. As volunteers they can't do more than than enforce the rules with the tools they're given by Jagex. Any time they spend moderating is taken away from what is recreational time meant for gaming anyhow. As RuneScape is a game, all players have real lives & responsibilities that go far beyond it, making any time spared for helping or improving the player community a precious resource. Those of us in team who do post on Tip.It, do so not because we can't post on the Official forums, but because we feel Tip.It is a force for good in the fan-site community. As well, anyone including Free-Players can post suggestions here, which Jagex may find useful (provided they post a release so Jagex can use the ideas as Bobbington has done) as well as having the nice option of using graphical images to illustrate the idea. However, correct me if I'm wrong, but this thread isn't about the Official Forums or issues you may have with them, regardless of who posts upon this thread here (remember Bobbington & I are only volunteers there). This thread was addressing what players think may be the result (positive or negative) with the coming of new CEO to Jagex. In my personal view Constant has done a great job taking Jagex this far. I personally enjoy RuneScape a lot as a game. So I am only one among a number of other players here, who is hoping the change in leadership at Jagex heralds a continuing process of improvement for them. Regards, Fey. Eh? Doesn't the Forum Mod team have access to a section of the RSOF that is hidden to other people, though? All I know is what others have told me, seeing as Jagex has seen fit to not make me a F-mod, even though I know the rules better than most and have been around longer than most. It's always been a dream of mine to be a F-mod, although now I am getting way off-topic.
  23. Calling or being called a noob is commonplace to most MMOs and therefore offers no cause for discuss- wait... I think I took a wrong turn somewhere.... This isn't the RSOF?
  24. There are many other things they could do too. They would require substantial effort and MONEY, though. But hey, people are satisfied to say "there there poor Jagex, everyone's always picking on you for no reason" -- so why should they bother? Yes, for example, they should spend extensive time researching other MMORPGs to learn their methods of anti-bot programming and then apply those methods to their own game.
