And Qeltar is absolutely right; most threads get buried by spam about "pmg new pc socks! gib us old PC or i quit!1!" or "wtf jadex i died to lag" or "wtf jadex i gotted scammed!!!11" And you wonder why forum mods seldom post anymore; it's because most of them recognize how pathetic the RSOF has become and just post in their own "Mod Forums." Honestly, Jagex should just scap all forums except for Recent Updates and the Market Forums; the others are useless due to the volume of idiocy and spam and are just consuming bandwidth.

Not unless some major changes are made. Several skills need complete overhauls, most notably mining, smithing, firemaking, and the combat skills. Since RS2 came out, smithing and mining have been abandoned. They are both dead-end skills that are rather pointless to raise, because of the outdated results of those skills. Jagex needs to push down the requirements for all existing metals, making it where one can create full rune at 90 smithing, and add a new metal/armor to smith/mine starting at 85-99. Firemaking was and still is absolutely useless; fix it. Make a 'burn' status, by allowing skilled "pyros" to superheat their weapons. Currently, because of the way combat is designed, Jagex has backed themselves into a corner; the best weapon in the game requires a measly 75 attack to wield and does over 50 damage quite easily. The monsters that drop it are level 580+ and can hit above 60s... Now, Jagex can't expand in difficulty by raising HP, because their current system only allows 255... And with those monsters hitting so high, what's next: a monster that can one hit players for their items? Jagex needs to redesign defense and HP so that players can sustain more damage, which would make the game more open-ended and enable Jagex to add better weapons and monsters later on. I also believe that the combat triangle was an ineffective experiment, due to the ease of changing gear and therefore hybriding. To counter this, Jagex should add a delay each time you change your helmet, plate, or legs, during which time you can't eat or run or fight back, but you can teleport. The delay for a plate would be the longest, followed by legs, then the shortest delay would be the helmet. Having this delay would force people to stick to one class (and therefore restore the triangle), as switching gear in combat would leave you very vulnerable.

It could be comparable to a plague... At first, there were a few isolated incidents of "stupid.." But then, after Jagex opened the "Miniclip Hospital" which had very poor preventative measures for biohazzards, infection spread rapidly as many people containing the infection were released from the hospital, spreading it to everyone they encountered.

Why do people post pictures of "front pagers"? They are just ordinary players who have entirely too much time on their hands.

Barrows is crap profits now that most pieces of the armor are worth less than 500k and blood runes are worth 350-400 each. Staking can make ludicrous profits, but it is way too risky for the average person to come out on top. God Wars is the best route to riches, these days. A team of a few level 90-100s can go with one level 115+ to bandos and kill several bosses.

Exp hasn't changed as far as I know. AFAIK, you get 72.5 from the L6 Arena, and around 90 from L6 Normal. Considering it only costs a cosmic rune, it's damn good experience.

Me, personally, there are a couple reasons I detest Pures: 1) Most, not all, but most of them drop trade stuff from their mains and think they are badass because of it. 2) Most pures are very immature, even by the standards of the RS community. They talk so much trash and flame at every given moment that it is no surprise that a good handful of the "most famous" PKers are perm-muted. 3) They harp and piss and moan about every single update that "disadvantages them." As if Jagex is supposed to give special treatment to a group of idiots who purposely neglect stats. Again, grow up. Basically, it's because of their attitudes that I hate pures. I've met a whole three pures ever that weren't asshats. To be honest, Pures are the RS equivalent of the "gangstahs" of real life. And yes, both cultures should be forcefully eradicated, as they only serve to corrode the community.

Almost every argument against Jagex boils down to the fact that they don't give a damn about their customer base, and are more concerned with adding to their already ludicrous profit margin.

As I said before, Jagex has hidden motives for most things they do. They claim to be controlling the bot epidemic, but they need to take more drastic measures than just 'banning a couple thousand' each week. They need to temporarily restrict account creation and/or make it so that you can only have one account registered to a specific credit card at any given time. This would not defeat the bot population, but it would hamper it to some degree. Also, I agree with the shallowness of their updates. Instead of making completely new areas and content, fill in what already exists. Add things to the upper ends of skills, giving an incentive for people to train past level 80, which is around where most skills cease to bring anything useful into the game by continuing to level them.

It helps nobody; it's just another example of Jagex's half-wit thinking and appealing to the kids.

They are driven solely by money. It's shown in their pathetic CS, their apathy towards the Bot problem, their half-assed updates, and their constant dumbing down of the game to make it easier for younger players.

Nah, to make something that nice, it would cost them a lot. And you know how greedy they are.

GC polls are an asinine concept, because they will always be swayed in the favor of lower levels, simply because lower levels are the vast majority. You may say "but they are the majority, so that's good, right?" Wrong. Though they are the majority, most of them have not played long enough to know what's good or bad for the game, so they make uninformed decisions that are potentially detrimental to the overall game.

When I first started the game, I had no idea how you were supposed to eat. I got some raw meat from a cow and kept trying to use it with a pot and tinderbox in my inventory, not understanding why it said "nothing interesting happens."

Saradomin is also the most difficult boss. She has incredible attack and defense, but low strength (in comparison with the other GWD bosses.) From videos I've watched, you hit a ton of 0s on her and though her attacks max at 35, she almost never hits below a 22.

It depends what you are fighting. Most of my slayer assignments now I can use my SGS and don't even need Guthans. Remember that Guthans also is not entirely reliable or predictable. J00 are too rich. :uhh:

This is actually quite possible, though it takes an incredible amount of luck. If you are meleeing him, your biggest threat will be his melee attack, not his range attack.
