From what she's told me on MSN, she's not continuing to play on it after reaching 99 Slayer. Meh, you'd think she'd want to show off a bit. :-k What reason is there to still play? She accomplished the post difficult feat in the entire game AND raised a different account to max total. After the Wildy and Trading updates, there's no reason to continue to put up with the game at her experience.

On most items, yes deflation will occur. However, on DK items and GWD items, the price may shoot way up, because very few people will return there after trading is kiboshed. No one wants to go with a team, knowing they won't get a share of the drop if they don't get it themselves.

Are you implying she transferred cash? No, I'm not. In the podcast it said she worked from ground zero, tanning hides for a friend and merching runes. However, most people would have just transfered cash, because it's so difficult to make something from nothing without any help.

They did the RWT update because they had to prove to the credit card companies that it was impossible for RWTs to profit in the game, or else they would lose the business of the credit card companies. That would deal a lethal blow to RS. They are working on tweaking stuff right now... But yes, I don't see what the point of the tombstone update was. It made it so that if you train with a friend, it's extremely easy to get your stuff back.

Very nice. I enjoyed that... I, too, have tried and failed to get 99 slayer. I got to 87 and have stalled :oops: She will be the only person to get an untrimmed cape, and most likely it will STAY that way. After the trading update, it will be impossible to trade cash over from one account to the other... So you have to make money for cannonballs starting from scratch, which is EXTREMELY hard these days, seeing as Jagex destroyed all methods of skilling for profit except RuneCrafting.

What's the point in buying an account anymore? They, for the most part, eliminated RWT by eliminating much of the appeal of the game. If the game is no longer popular, then people will not try to run a black market in it.

Yep, the anti-trade update will make all the effort they put into KQing, DKing, and the God Wars Dungeon a waste. There will be no reason at all to return to those places after January, because no one will be able to split their shares of good drops.

Make it where the trade update doesn't apply to people who have been on your F list for AT LEAST two months.

I figured it out! Jagex is trying to make their updates as unappealing as possible so they can get the majority of people to stop subscribing to RS. Then, once more are leaving than coming in, Jagex plans to post a "regretful message" on the front page stating that they had to take the game off-line. Then, a week or two later, they will release MECHSCAPE. :boohoo:

You can no longer give an item to someone like a rune chain for PKing. The Wilderness is no longer the Wilderness. You now have FIVE minutes to get back your [cabbage] if you die. The game is done. It will die before next summer. I did say this would happen, did I not? Jagex is trying to end RS in order to prepare for MechScape. On the bright side, they added three rows of bank space... Not that it means anything considering the game is finished now. Actually, all he had to say on TS was "I am speechless... They actually destroyed the game."

Most people have less than ten. I hope bird eggs aren't required to level it, otherwise Summoning will be just another skill that only the lucky or the rich can effectively level.

The Zamorak Special also has a hidden damage amplifier of I am guessing 10%. But yes, I agree the Zammy boss got the short end of the stick. It should've dropped new robes for mages. A steam staff is virtually useless, as there are only about five spells in the entire game that call for water and fire runes... And the Z Spear is a fancy D spear. Jagex was lazy, plain and simple.

Yep, they destroyed the Party Room. Now, it's impossible to have a decent drop party without having half the noobs in your world flock to it like bugs to a light. Once again, innocent players must suffer because of rule-breakers. Jagex is like the rookie teacher who doesn't know how to control her class and then punishes everybody because of a few miscreants.

If the price was too low, the economy would crash. If the price was too high, it wouldn't work because RWT sites would undercut Jagex's prices. It is a catch-22.

Well, let's see: 1) The game has poor graphics and a rudimentary combat system, in comparison with most other MMORPGs. Ignorant people judge games first based on graphics. 2) RS has the worst community of any MMORPG on the web, primarily because the game is marketed towards prepubescent children. Many people believe that those who play in a game inhabited by mostly children are "nerds" who can't get any friends of their own age group. Again, it boils down to ignorance. 3) In order to get good at RS, you have to invest years in the game. Even with WoW, you can get a character to level 70 in a matter of a couple weeks without nolifing. This is actually a decent argument. RuneScape requires an ungodly amount of grinding, mainly because Jagex (in their infinite unwisdom) made everything at high levels highly impractical for leveling purposes, so people are forced to train skills using low-leveled abilities. The materials for most high leveled abilities in skills are so hard to obtain that it makes leveling using those abilities quite difficult. Therefore, high leveled miners powermine iron, lumberjacks chop willows, and farmers plant allotments (due to the growth time.) Oh, and as a closing note, pertaining to those people who actually play RS who call other people who play RS nerds... It's jealousy, simple as that. They feel inadequate about their in-game achievements so that compels them to put down someone who has a better character.
