  1. I also have been tracking his progress, he even has the date ready, but too bad I'm f2p -.- Wow last level is a killer :ohnoes: you can't do this w/o ever playing before, so i bet he has a very high ranked main. It's a she... There was a RS podcast which interviewed her... And her main has max total, Villandra. IIRC, she also has a level 77 noob account that has 85 slayer. :XD:
  2. Don't you love Jagex's CS system? #-o
  3. Ya its in the update thread. :D Looks like ice skating.
  4. The KB said you could use snowballs against other players or monsters, but in the duel arena, it says "You are here to fight, not play with snow!" Has anyone checked out the other PvP areas?
  5. It's irritating trying to build a snowman only to have some noob come and put the wrong hat/weapon on it. Also, the KB article made it seem like snowballs could be used as a weapon in combat, but they can't. :^o
  6. Grats :) If you can afford it, I suggest getting a Dragon Axe. Not only will it match your outfit better, it will also offer slightly improved efficiency.
  7. 30k is chump change. 100k or hell, even 300k, would be far more fair and would still not allow RWTs to profit. No one using a disposable account will spend the MONTHS it takes to get the stat requirements AND go through the process of completing all quests just to be able to trade freely. They will just move on to a different game, which is Jagex wants. That's why I think the cap needs to be higher for those with max or close to max Quest Points. Basically, it all boils down to the fact that unless they make it where you can make trades that are unbalanced to the point of over 1m either way, it is not profitable for RWTs to invest months of their employees' (the farmers) time in not only leveling throw-away accounts so they can start all the quests but also DOING the quests, which is fairly daunting for the majority of foreign farmers, considering all the quest guides are in English. In short, even if they raise the cap to 300k per trade/1.2m per hour at max quest points, there is not much incentive for RWTs to bother with this game. It's more worth their time to use other games for their business.
  8. 1) They stated that upon logging out, you would receive the item back. 2) You cannot loot other peoples' graves. Once the grave crumbles, your items go buh-bye. Therefore, there is NO profiting off others' deaths.
  9. 30k is still chump change. 100k or hell, even 300k, would be far more fair and would still not allow RWTs to profit. Most trades vary between 50-100k per trade. No one using a disposable account will spend the MONTHS it takes to get the stat requirements AND go through the process of completing all quests just to be able to trade freely. They will just move on to a different game, which is Jagex wants. That's why I think the cap needs to be higher for those with max or close to max Quest Points.
  10. That had to be a joke. For one, the general store price is 850k, IIRC. That means it would definitely not alch for more than 10x that much :-k
  11. +1 I really enjoy Clan Wars, but the BH thing destroyed PKing and the threat that the Wilderness offered. Furthermore, the trade update ruins about 70% of the game. The MMO aspect has basically been taken out of the game. It's basically become a single-player game with a chat system. If I wanted to play a game like that, I'd play Diablo 2.
  12. Most likely envious of your high level. Yep, I had someone purposely seek out my Dagannoths at the lighthouse when I was doing slayer, just because he was jealous. I eventually said "wtf is your problem?" He immediately said "reported." I never received an offense for it. Most people in RS are childish asshats, so ignore them.
  13. Chef Surprise Showdown Meh, I usually listen to MP3s or nothing at all (talk on TS). Dragonforce > RS jukebox.
  14. It would've been nice if you could have juxtaposed a picture of the archer's ring with that picture. Holy crap. Did you have too much time on your hands, or how did you discover that?
  15. Alching will once again become the main way of making money, like in RSC.
  16. It would've been nice if you could have juxtaposed a picture of the archer's ring with that picture.
  17. Imo, Redemption should heal you for however many remaining prayer points you have. Therefore, if you drop below 10% HP when you have 42 prayer points left, it would heal for 42 HP. That only makes sense, seeing as it drains ALL your prayer. Retribution should inflict damage in the same way.
  18. Do you realize supporting them 100% means: you agree with everything they do without questioning, you think all these updates are the best possible solutions, you won't have any critical comment ever toward Jagex, you look like the opposite of a whiner "don't think, support Jagex". If you really agree that much you must either not be hit by this update and are quite a selfish person, or very ignorant. He's selfish and ignorant for having an opinion? I've been thinking about these updates they made today. At first I hated them, but I've realized that Jagex is right with their updates. They don't affect how I play the game, and I've had fun with it so far. I'm with Jagex on this one. You both don't care about the huge amount of people hit by this update, or maybe you just don't realize how many people are hit. Of course I realize they had to do something drastic. But there are so many alternatives and tweaks which could have been made so it wouldn't cause so many problems. IE, wrong prices at GE, the way too strict limit of 3K, a system for lending items, etc. They are working on a system for lending items, a single-way PK zone, and tweaking the trade update.
  19. I think Rares will fall, because they have no practical use in the game and people will have far more incentive to pinch pennies after the trading update. I think most things will deflate, except for God Wars items, which will probably become the replacement for rares, seeing as very few people will venture back to that place, resulting in the supply becoming far less than the demand.
  20. A friend of mine got muted for calling somebody an idiot. :ohnoes:
  21. It's sad to see a fellow veteran go, but I know my days in this game are limited, too. Unless the game sees modifications to the 3k trade rule before February 12th, I am officially retiring from the game. The trading update ruins my entire style of playing and makes me feel like I am not in control of my time I spend on my account. It decimates the economy and destroys the very important aspect of "player interaction." Like you, I rely on friends for assistance with skills. I often trade my friends herb seeds for potions, because I detest both herblore and farming. I give them one seed for four potions, which is very fair. That won't happen anymore. I do at least one God Wars run each day... That will stop after the TU. Not only will one not be able to use the most effective strategy of "funneling food towards the tanker," it will also be impossible to split drops. Their Lootshare thing is BS. No one will actually use it, because it's stupid to expect people to do 500 runs until everyone gets a hilt. Yet another example of backwards logic. I sometimes have friends give me wild pies to go slay Dark Beasts for them, in hopes of netting them a Dark Bow. That won't happen anymore. Many people in my clan hold small drop parties worth a few hundred K for seasonal events, as well as 99 cape parties. That definately won't happen anymore. People are FORCED to use that inherently stupid Party Room, in which half the server flocks to when they see the announcement of over 1m being dropped. I have friends who also occasionally fletch bows and give those and natures to alch, in exchange for me giving them the money. They don't like alching, but they profit from making their own materials. I get free magic experience.... We are both happy. Gone. Basically, the game is unplayable unless they make the trading rule more reasonable.
  22. There is an even bigger loophole. Now that bots can't transfer GP, they will start powerleveling accounts by either farming low level NPCs like Rock Crabs, or using bots to kill those monsters. (probably the latter, seeing as you can run several bots per computer.) They will also make gp by doing this, and then put the account up for sale, advertising a high level account with money to buy skills. This is potentially worse than the gold transferring problem.
  23. I lost 3/4 of my clan, including two of the three leaders.
