  1. You people make my blood boil. JAVA CAN RUN GOOD GRAPHICS, FOR JEFF'S SAKE!!! Then why doesn't anybody do it lol, back up you're claim, dont just post stuff like that... I've backed up my claim, let's see you back up yours. Lol, I've made a lot of posts. Wonder if it counts as spam.
  2. Jagex is already working very hard on the graphics!
  3. You people make my blood boil. JAVA CAN RUN GOOD GRAPHICS, FOR JEFF'S SAKE!!!!!! YAAHHH!!! *throws a tantrum*
  4. I've had similar afflictions as well and I think about suicide every day. Does that make me a moron too? BTW, Hell doesn't exist. When you're dead you're dead. The end. Nothing afterwards. Just because you think it's true doesn't mean it is. Darkpoop0 believes in hell, you have to respect that. Same for you, Dizzle. Darkpoop0, stop being a jackass. ------ Qeltar, please post this on the RSOF, if you haven't already.
  5. It's mostly because it's a browser game, and because the original RuneScape engine was designed by Andrew when he was living in his mom's basement (true story). Java is almost as good as C++ when it comes to graphics. Anyway, the current engine, which was last updated in about 2006, can't handle Knight Online graphics. Jagex is doing all they can to update the older areas and NPCs to look more detailed and realistic. I'm hoping that Jagex's new games will have much better graphics than RuneScape's.
  6. Loads of grammar and punctuation mistakes.
  7. Ah, a story with a moral. Very nice.
  8. While I was playing Halo 2 on Xbox Live. I slaughtered three of my comrades and got kicked out of the game. \ \ \ \
  9. is that a guy witha d 2h in the background i see? if so then where is his armour of is he 1 iteming? That kinda reminds me of God Wars Dungeon and Bandos area It is. I'm realy looking forward to these new games. RuneScape is getting boring.
  10. Welcome to our world.
  11. I got 1:03. This game's better than EVE. *runs* EDIT: W00t! 2:14!
  12. Graphics? Jagex implements a graphical update almost every month. As for the others, they really aren't the biggest issues in the game. I would say that they need more high-level content.
  13. They're the same. The second one is blurred because it got rendered by MS Paint or whatever they were using.
  14. That's not what Iddison meant. RuneScape not being the the main focus of the company does NOT mean that they are going to leave it to rot. It just means that RuneScape will no longer be the game that they spend the most money on. Also, he said "AT LEAST five years". If RuneScape has five million members by 2012, do you think that Jagex will give other games higher priority?
  15. SI doesn't mean European.
  16. You might think that I'm weird, but I think that the level requirement is there to prevent a level one mage from using Ice Barrage and other powerful spells. Nah, that's just me.
  17. RuneScape's magic system is very realistic (compared to most magic), due to the law of conservation of energy, which states that you can neither create or destroy energy. If the power didn't come from runes, it would have to come from the user's body. Imagine how many calories it would take to use Blood Barrage. Runes are basically capacitors (aka batteries); they store energy that comes from rune altars. If I could change the magic system, I would modify the lore and say that everyone *needs* runes to use magic effectively, unless they eat 40 pounds of food every meal.
  18. The original RuneScape was created by Andrew and Paul Gower. If Jagex is making a game called MechScape, there probably would be about 20-30 people working on it at least. And for Jeff's sake, please use paragraphs. There is no way that is real. Jagex most likely faked that picture. That is supposed to be in God Wars, right? I haven't been in God Wars, as I am F2P. But I was on there long enough to know Jagex could never pull such a stunt off with Java... And two new games? Are you serious? MechScape, but what else? If I remember right, Graardor does actually look a lot like that, I've never looked at him closely, but it seems like it. At first when I read it, my thought was "only 5 more years? Aww, I wanted it to last forever"...Then I thought about it and realized that I'll be off to college and have other things in my life, so maybe it's not so bad after all. it is bando's godwar main general. he looks very much like that. http://www.tip.it/runescape/?rs2monster_id=988 not as detailed from the player pics, but its clearly the same guy. THAT. IS. THE. SAME. AS. THE. REAL. THING!!!!!! Jagex says that it can create 3000-polygon models. I highly doubt that General Graardor in that picture exceeds 3000 polygons. Jagex could probably create a new game with EQ-style graphics using Java, though it would be impossible to implement them into RuneScape. Oh, and the picture from the bestiary looks less detailed because it got blurred by MS Paint or whatever they used.
  19. MythBusters FTW! :XD:
  20. I puzzle over your ability to write an article so long that the whole thing can't fit within the 50k character limit in a matter of days. You should be a journalist (if you aren't already one).
  21. I'm guessing that most people vote for tzhaar because chances are that Jad and the other fight cave NPCs will be included.
  22. There are orcs in the GWD.
  23. a,a,c Lol, same as panthers.
  24. The only intelligent posts so far in this thread.
