  1. you will be much better off selling the grapes on the GE...wine is THE most expensive way of training cooking...losing like 400-500k per hour but giving you extremely fast cooking exp as well...
  2. addy arrows might rise slightly due to the low supply (well relatively) and lots of people are going to be ranging soon especially in f2p...=) alternatively buy food...
  3. i really wonder which guy's sense of morality will overwhelm their carnal desire to the extent that when a guy sees a naked women they cover their eyes...well perhaps some priests do that but other than that... #-o
  4. http://www.addictinggames.com/index.html http://www.addictinggames.com/runescape.html now jagex is advertising Runescape on addictinggames.com after miniclip...i really don't see the need to do this...Rs is like one of the few if not the only MassiveMORPG games that advertise on such websites for little younger kids...yea you may be asking me how i saw it: my 8 year old sister was playing on that website and i happened to see it. i really wonder what age group jagex is targeting sometimes...i wouldn't be surprised if they eliminated the age limit to play altogether sometime soon -.-
  5. currently the price difference between cooked and raw swordfish is small than the price difference between cooked and raw monks meaning it is cheaper to cook swordfish even though monks give more exp...well of course depends on how fast you want your lvls ;)
  6. well assuming you have 15M fletching exp now, you will need 185M to 200M...using broad arrows the time you take will be 185M/600k = 308.33 hours and the cash you need will be 308.33 X 2.4M = 740M according to the post above me...not too bad =) QED = quite easily done
  7. it's almost impossible to do that i think...unless perhaps you are very lucky and supreme and prime are standing far away from the ladder when you enter...i'm not sure if that will ever happen though...better option would be to go try and hop to different lootshare worlds and hop there is a team below already then run over to rex safe spot before hopping back to the world of your choice
  8. yea there are a lot of monsters which duradel is supposed to give on the knowledge base but has never given me before...blue dragons is one of them -.- he gives me lots of metal drags, black demons, hellhounds and black dragons. but i guess it's better than infernal mages >.< low hp, lousy drops and hits pretty hard
  9. black demons are amazing but only if you have cannon/dharok/verac/godsword or using range...although demons are weak to magic it still takes pretty long to kill them using mage...and since i've 99 range i don't like "wasting" experience...
  10. the prices of GS and DFS and barrow equip etc aren't going to be going back up much...the reason they are dropping now is that jagex is going to offer the PvP update where they mention that "new high lvl 70+ equipment will be dropped along with hard hitting gear and experience modifying weapons...and pking will be a viable source of income again"...when these new weapons come out everyone will be rushing to get them the same way everyone rushed to get a GS when they first came out...so the prices of all these equipment you see aren't going to go back to their formal glory again... they will probably rise slightly again sometime soon but never reach their current value...
  11. get karil to fend off mages instead of armadyl cause armadyl reduces your melee attack...get ahrims to barrage if you want since zgs spec cannot be used all the time...bandos is good too =)
  12. yea fming is actually quite slow when compared to cooking using wines...for most people though cooking is a very common first 99...i'm currently trying to get 99 cooking as well cause i already have 4 combat 99s but no non-combat skills maxed out =S
  13. since you already have berzerker necklace and obby mace might as well train at the fight caves on tzhaar monsters...
  14. price changes this time are mainly due to speculators i must say (including myself)...i blew around 50M on cooked and raw lobs and made around 6M out of it... anyway if you read the PvP update carefully jagex says "glorious SHORT TERM but hard hitting gear" what i'm thinking is that these equipment will be like barrow armour except that once it reaches 0 the gear will just be destroyed...thus hopefully it won't bring too much change to armour prices when things stabilise...however jagex also mentions new XP modifying and 70+ gear which from the looks of it will be permanent so perhaps there is some basis for the price crash of equipment... whatever the case i'm really glad about this update actually =P not just because i love pking but also because i plan to skill heavily once i get p2p in november since my combat is nearly maxed...AND i'll be able to purchase godswords and all those amour at a cheaper price too =D
  15. ags spec is really useless when training which he says he will be doing a lot as well as when training slayer...people have been able to use sgs and bunyip together at iron drags and use almost no prayer potions at all (use sgs on the black demons not on the iron drag of course #-o ) sgs is definitely the idea GS when training slayer no doubt about that although many ppl prefer using whip and dfs/defender then switching to SGS for spec if they need to heal... personally i feel that both these 2 GSes are over-rated simply because they are the best items in the game...the price difference between the best shield (dfs) and the next best alternative (d sq) is like 20+M...i wouldn't get one unless i really had spare cash...conclusion: get a bgs unless you are really rich...i'll use the cash saved to skill instead
  16. when i first started out playing in RS1 i never though i would ever be able to get any 99s at all...13M exp is really a long journey but hey with time and by playing a bit day by day every goal is possible as long as you stick to it =) it is even easier now with RS2 where lots of skills are made easier and you gain combat exp much faster with all the new equipment too so i'm sure you will be able to get any 99 if you put your heart to it : hmm i trained my magic casting level 6 enchant spells at the mage training arena but i suggest you only cast level 5 or 6 enchant spells there using mud and lava staff respectively because the lower level enchants might not earn you that much exp...this is really quite a fast a cheap method in my opinion... you could of course try high alchs as well but i suggest you grow higher yield crops such as snapdragons, marigolds and yea watermelons are good too since they are needed for payment for farmers... i stopped training magic at MTA once i got 94 mage and the occasional trip to DK, barrows and most importantly barraging/bursting at castle wars got me to my current level...so even if you don't actively train magic but use it as and when you can you will get quite a bit of exp ;)
  17. although ZMI is the fastest i personally wouldn't touch it unless i was very close to a next milestone in RC such as 75 or around 80+ rc cause rc is really a good form of getting exp and cash at the same time and the cash you get can be used to support other skills as well... i prefer using a terrorbird because filling up your familiar takes time and for people who have only 3 pouches it is not worth it since you have to bank a third time just to feel up your familiar...filling up familiars are only worth it when u have 75 RC and thus access to the large pouch...that way banking a 3rd time would be worth your time... although terrorbird scroll takes up 1 inventory space, drinking sup energy in between runs also takes up time so they sort of balance out...
  18. for myself i calculated that getting from 92 to 99 cooking probably cost around 5M or less depending on whether i chose swordies or lobsters...once i get p2p i'll probably cook monks till 94 and sharks with gauntlets till 99...that would be the most efficient ;)
  19. not sure if this method is faster: bank at al karid, go south to the shanty pass and get yourself captured inside the jail and then teleported to port sarim... come to think of it, it wouldn't be that much faster if it is faster in the first place...
  20. lol you are way too late to make much with food...i bought around 100k raw lobs and 50k cooked the second the announcement came out and sold them all recently since their prices are kind of stabilising and even dropping already...made around 6M this is the first wave where all the speculators are buying up food in anticipation that prices will rise but there will probably be a second wave where players themselves start buying food when PvP comes out...probably later not too soon but at the time all the speculators who bought the food items will probably cash in and the prices won't change much which is why i sold off the bulk of my food stuff already =P could probably try rune items but you don't really know how it works such as what people will keep and what will they not keep if they die so hard to tell...only thing which is also certain is that food and pots will be needed which is why their prices have been rallying for the past few days...
  21. get full bandos, get enough barrages to get 99 summoning and 99 magic at rock lobsters...then get a whole bunch of unicorn pouches to get to 99 slayer...train up prayer to 99 so that my combat stats are all maxed out... then i'll get AGS, spend the remainder on barrages and have fun at CW (castle war AND clan wars) =) not sure if it will exceed 300M though...probably =P
  22. i'll take over the GWD impose a tax on everyone who gets a drop =P
  23. and it reminds of the time where someone kept bragging about a revolutionary crafting method where you got 1exp for 4gp or something like that and it turned out to be crafting yak hides which is immensely slow...
  24. hmm for gwd maybe you could join a 100+ bandos team...should be fine...i love DK as well but maging rex is really boring and i only mage at DK since i've maxed my range and melee (almost) and prefer the mage exp... GWD is really fun and exciting cause you are in a team and the bosses there are much more challenging...alternatively you could try barrowing which was how i made 50M during the first few days of it's release...of course the profit margin is much lower but still not bad ;) do Manage thy kingdom and herb runs too ;)
  25. There are quite a few grammatical errors in the letters such as "your" replacing "you'll" (in SystemsLock (Bleh30 RuneScape Name)'s letter) which is a very common confusion among people with weaker vocabulary...also a typo error in the same letter where "on" is spelled as "one"...but then again are these letters ever vetted? Regarding the last letter concerning the GE, i feel that the real problem is that jagex is not regulating the prices regularly and clear evidence of this can be seen from the need to junk trade. I understand the need to prevent RWT from occurring and thus the implementation of the trade limit but in order for this to be a success jagex must not leave the regulation of prices up to the GE mechanism alone because for goods which are severely under/over-valued (such as partyhats, 3rd age, animal masks etc) very few people, if any at all, are going to even trade these items on the GE in the first place...junk trading becomes a hassle and inconvenience due to the need to collect junk...jagex should make it more efficient by either: 1) increasing the price range where a trade can occur or 2) updating their prices with player input as well...
