Hit my 1,000 limit last night, thankfully. Had been logging on for a while on a daily basis and cutting a handful, then going AFK as usual. Clan total had reached 65k+, at that point. Shame there's only 5% saved.

Thumbs up, of course. If I was unhappy with them enough to say I didn't like them...A thumbs down... I wouldn't be posting on a fansite dedicated to their game, nor playing their game.

I do see it working out, completely. It's a Ps3 exclusive because it was a game they were designing purely for the consoles, I would imagine as Ps3/Xbox both have a vast array of Shooters...This is another to add to the mix, but with a huge difference. To quote why the chose the Ps3 and not Xbox "CCP has dropped the Xbox 360 as a potential platform, in an interview it was revealed that the choice of PlayStation 3 was partly influenced by Sony's more open platform allowing Dust 514 to connect to the EVE Online Server, Tranquillity." It's probably not being catered for the PC as they probably wouldn't want to take away from the people playing EVE Online...? I'm not really sure, at all. I think it's a better idea for it to be just on the one platform, connecting to another platform entirely.

I've chopped just over 400 roots, today. However in total my clan has done 49,366 of a 60,000 limit...Hopefully they hit 60k before I hit 1k! :)

Hmm...Harry Potter, the new one, was the latest cinema release...Last night I watched The Lovely Bones?? Strange! Transformers...'Twas okay. In Bruge is a great film, two great Irish actors. Brendan Gleeson in "The Guard", which most of you won't get unless you are living in Ireland with Don Cheadle was just unreal...But as said, unless you are from here most of the jokes will go over your head, but by far the funniest film I've seen in many, many years...If not the funniest.

Essentially it's an MMOFPS, set in the EVE Online Universe, where players (Infantry players), playing on their Ps3 interact with users connecting from their computers who are operating the ships, etc. It was announced in 2009, and there should be a BETA period at this end of this year, ahead of the games planned Spring release in 2012...As a huge fan of MAG, this is a release I'm really looking forward to! Listened to one of "Big Sean's" songs, wasn't too impressed! Lately myself I've been listening to P.O.S, Mad Maxxx, Bliss n' Eso & OFWGKTA. Going to see the latter in a months time. Also enjoyed that Hail Mary Mallon song! Cheers.

Angry Birds: RuneScape Edition

Well shock, it is supposed to be the "Year of the clans", or did you NOT GET THE MEMO? I didn't participate in the last one, but I did the first. I suppose I'll bother trying for this one.

Bought one 12.6M, tried to add it to my whip but needed 80 Slayer, sold it 12.1. FAIL.

They have released one game that they have developed in house. They may have published some other games, but they have only developed one. Mechscape was canceled. Stellar Dawn we haven't seen anything about yet really. There's 8worlds and that transformers MMO. I can't speak for 8worlds since I haven't played it. FunOrb is alright, but it isn't exactly developer gold. So in my opinion, Jagex as a developer I would say their next projects would be make or break. They can't keep Runescape alive forever if they won't ban the bots (or maybe they can, where everybody is a bot it doesn't matter if you get their money). As a publisher they still have a future because they have money and as long as they don't throw that down the drain it should be good. Stellar Dawn; just because you haven't seen anything or heard anything does not mean that it's going nowhere, let me assure you of that. Likewise with transformers. We know Stellar Dawn is in Alpha, perhaps even finished. FunOrb yes, of course is not gold in any sense; it's as much as had its day. Make or break? I would really doubt that. With the playerbase RuneScape alone has, anything new released would already have a following upon release. With paying members, of course. I think after 10 years, Jagex know what to do and what not to do to create success. Other developers, Zipper Int. for example...Creator of the SOCOM series and also MAG, which is a game like no other FPS on the market, but they went about it wrong over two years ago now and the game is slowly losing numbers. That's all down to key changes and a lack of funds in certain areas...Whereas Jagex, on the other hand know exactly how to market their game at this stage and to provide content which pleases...Because they've "Been there, done that.".

I'm sure working on the biggest free-to-play MMORPG in human history would sound impressive on your CV. :P Not only that, but Jagex don't just Have RuneScape under their wing. Right now there's absolutely no sign of it "Ending" in a few years, that's just craziness. But a games Studio isn't just going to take a dive and be done with, when they have over 400 employees and profiting like there's no tomorrow. I think you can be sure Jagex will still be around in many, many years to come so it really is a company which would be worth pursuing for someone who's interested in game design, etc. Because it will always be something new. Oh how I admire you doom sayers.

Simliar comments about how their content can't be botted? Oh how I'd love to see those posts, but oh-wait..they're not to be found. I think you should remove the "Not Fake," from your main post, because quite clearly it is... The only purpose that image has now is to stir [cabbage].

I'm 100% certain that it's fake, there's far more evidence leaning toward it being fake than evidence (Of which there's zero) leading to it being real. And I think not stating that in the first post is a poor attempt at a cheap dig at Jagex, if I'm quite honest. Not being able to verify an image you've come across that's related to RuneScape and actually believing it is... just funny.

A simple Google search of "Mod Mark H No Dungeoneering Bots" provides links to bot sites claiming that that image is a fake and was posted on every bot site when it was created. One which provided a link to the post on the forum which was originally edited by a user to create that fake, but that post is now gone. I'm seriously not going to believe that image now.

I did of course check the date and all posts he's made from that date, but was unable to find it. Now it is possible that the post has left the boards by way of the Page 51 monster, but where did you come across this? An image, that makes some bold claims which has absolutely no source of where it came from poses too many questions, and whether or not it's even worth discussing.

You seem to have missed when MMG removed certain intrusive advertising in the F2P game - or how a skill like agility lost its use in F2P. Not to mention how F2P could once solve P2P-based puzzle rooms in Daemonheim. Though I think they still can with one particular room. It's a bad thing for a games company to be hypocritical. We had this very same argument the other day in another thread... This was never set in stone, and noted somewhere in a Policy that they MUST abide by. It was something they decided to change two years ago, just in an effort to remove the P2p features which were in F2p, it was never said they would work to ensure no P2p stuff was ever seen in F2p... Where you people get off with your criticising of a company who's main aim is to earn money is just unreal. And for F2pers to rage over this is absolutely laughable... No-one is asking you to play this game.

Oh now I'm the one with the flawed argument, not the people changing their stories as to how Jagex are approaching this while jumping to their own conclusions and taking what Jagex have said out of context. No matter how much you try and beat around the bush, you're repeating the same thing while being dead set on everyone else being flawed. You're a star.

It is an entire possibility that people are displeased with JaGex, in essence, bending their own rules. If they are not breaking their own rules, they're going against one of MMG's big policy changes: not advertising and flaunting members benefits. They have always had their customers from word of mouth testimony as well. When you're advertising your cards in GameStop with a promotion and then posting something nearly a week before it comes out with the only intention of gaining new members, you obviously just went against advertising the members portion of this game. Yes so what if a company does this, it's normal right? Yup you're 100% right there. However, when the company stays on the same policy of not advertising their members benefits and going as far to remove nearly every aspect of members in F2P to show how important that is to them, they appear to become desperate for money. In essence bending their own rules? No. I don't see "We can't offer a bonus for purchasing membership", anywhere in rules that JAGEX HAVE TO FOLLOW. YES PLAYERS AREN'T ALLOWED TO RWT, BUT JAGEX CAN BECAUSE THEY ACTUALLY OWN THE ITEMS. They're going against a big policy change? Wasn't that just something they did in late '09 early '10? Nothing was written in stone and is still there to this day that says they have to follow it - absolutely nothing. Obviously money is an underlying issue and when a company is in need of money, what does thta suggest? New games are costing more than planned? On a last note, we don't know that the rewards will be completely useless outside of the cosmic sense.
