03-May-2011 Capes of Distinction
If you're unsure of when you can obtain the cape...Han now tells you how many days you are away from it, with saying "You can get the cape within a year!", and then a message in the chat box which tells you how many days.

03-May-2011 Capes of Distinction
Business, that's 1 reason. thats probably the only reason to. In my personal opinion its sad that they gloat that they are the number 1 free game but refuse to give f2p players cosmetic items with no stats. They already provide F2p with an entire game of its own...Where's the incentive to give them more when they're being given...nothing in return? If people really want the cape, forget about that magazine you want to buy or the popcorn when you go to the cinema and purchase a 30-day membership... I really don't want to get into it, anyway. Also, extremely glad they introduced the trimmed version of the Completionist cape...Putting things into perspective, for most.

02-May-2011 - Behind the Scenes May
Looks like you're the one that's been getting hit on the head...after every single update. It's getting old now, Lep. You seem to have this game - stop playing it and posting on a fan site of it if that's the case... I know that's what anyone else would do who has the same problems with the game that you have...every single time. Anyway, looks like a great month. Looking forward to the minor tweaks and improvements, and a graphical update is always welcome!

Future Update Discussions
You don't seem to be a bit biased at all, Squisher... Thinking about it... I'm not so sure if I can wear the "Veteran" cape right away...Pretty sure it won't be for a few more months...Not that I care, essentially. Skillcape's worth more, in my own opinion.

So I presume then that you didn't give away your bank and quit? Did you end up doing those "big stakes"?

Fury kits are being manipulated and have been since 23M, Amulets of Fury are falling in price but do seem to have become stable. I have been flipping 100's of them for the past few days.

Developers Console...
A very intelligent post, took the words out of my mouth and put them in a way that I couldn't. You have hit the nail on the head, and very relevant for you to reference Sony. In the case of the game I play, it just so happens to be on the Ps3. The game is an online-only game, so I would be shut off from it completely if I was still as addicted to it as I was for over a year, kicked the habit over a month ago, though! Anyway, needless to say...People shouldn't be laying the blame on Sony, but those who have crippled their system from the outside. I'm unable to play that game entirely, now. But I can't blame Sony for that, because it was working until people set out to find a problem. It's the exact same as RuneScape. There really is no legitimate excuse to lay blame on Jagex for everything. After all, in many cases mistakes can and do happen. "Oh, but Jagex is a company!" Yes, that they are, but one comprised of humans...And humans do make mistakes. And most of the time it's not even down to a mistake, just down to one thing working fine on its own but kicking out an error when combined with something else, unknowingly. As Andrew has stated before, it takes weeks for the QA team to test content, they are testing things which will of course cause the most problems. Something ever so small could slip by, but once released into the public the sheer mass of players testing out the new content at once amounts to what would be years of QA testing. Players are able to trample on every aspect of that content, and shoud they find something to not be right....Jagex have supplied them with a nifty little Bug Report form....and forum, at that. It's time for the players to take responsibility for their own actions, and respect and appreciate what Jagex have given them. They don't spend weeks and months creating content half-assed with the intentions to get something wrong or overlook a piece of it...Things happen, and people have to allow for that in their judgement. I pity those who play the blame game every update, without taking a look a themselves and those they play with. This would have been the case I'm sure in the beginning, when people actually appreciated things given to them, in many cases, free. People have just lost respect over the years, and not just towards Jagex...Towards everyone. Can't just put it down to...people will be people...because there are still level-headed individuals around here with the cop on and respect that this place lacks. Look around.

Scammers
Gah, had a lot wrote out and backspaced...Lost my train of thought, now. Okay...Going by experience, a doubler who doesn't know any better ways at making money is a rare sight. I'm a merchant and the Grand Exchange is my home, I spend every hour I'm online there, and do not stray far. Since the reintroduction of Free Trade, hundreds of scammers have passed through my sights in World 99 alone. The vast majority of doublers are indeed aware of what they're doing entirely... Knowledgeable of the fact that any wealth they obtain has been ill-gotten and they know there are honest ways of making more than 100k p/h. They come prepared with high-value items (Partyhats, etc. Borrowed, mostly.), an auto typer and a lot of the time a friend or two to help them lure people in. It's not just them saying "Doubling Cash", it's them pretending to double honestly...but for their friends. Many have high value items that they do own (Bandos, etc. High-value to them, anyway.) so there's no doubting that they have made a sum somewhat legitimately. You came across one person who wasn't aware of any better methods, but there are so many more. And I can honestly say that in this day and time...They couldn't get to level 84 without knowing how to make money. Free Trade has only been with us for 2 months, remember that. Before that there was none of this, so they would have had to get themselves going somehow. But now? Why bother. You can make money easier with far less effort by taking it from others. I've seen these scum go from begging one minute to doubling another, with claims that they're "legit"... They will never see my good side, I'm not going to waste my time personally offering to show them better means of money making, as many run at the sign of a Moderator. Those that don't have some balls, those that continue get shut down. It's disgusting to see, if I'm honest. And the ones out to earn their first whip are no better than those out to make a living. Dishonesty is not a good policy. And yes, it has been a long time Cowboy, but not that long! :P

Scammers
They're scum, nothing more. Most of the higher level ones are more than likely bought accounts. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if that one you were talking to was. For someone to get to level 84 and not know how to make over 100k per hour is very suspicious. I'll tell you, I have a jolly time shutting their doubling rackets down.

Some cheek to call people stupid when you cut out the part everyone's criticising. Is that an attempt at getting more attention or just pure foolishness? If you're upset over people making claims, show them that you don't do it. Every video you post is the screen after rules have been accepted, or the beginning of the video. Don't expect your ego to correct things and show people that you don't switch, actually make an attempt at proving it with a video. I'm not saying I don't believe you, you just talk so much [cabbage] LOL. If you don't like it, prove it. If you're capable of proving it, accept it. To be quite honest people are being absolutely pathetic. Get the [bleep] over the fact that 999 may have rule switched a few people, if you are stupid enough to fall for it then it is YOUR FAULT. It isn't cheating, it isn't something that cannot be avoided, it is their own idiocy and impatience that causes THEM to make a mistake. 999 is not to blame, regardless of whether he did/does rule switch. Which is beside the point anywho... No one staking hundreds of mils is foolish enough to fall for a rule switch, not even people staking 500k. It is extremely naive for people to assume that 999 is some sort of scammer when it simply comes down to the fact that he has the stats and ability to win stakes, not the quick fingers and constant flow of handicapped people with endless banks. Face the facts folks, u all jelly. Eh, no-one's saying it's not their fault for falling for it, at all. People are just looking for some clarity on what's actually going on... Jealous? Definately not. :) Personally I couldn't care less, above is just me pushing others' questions forward.

But I haven't accused anyone of anything, lest we not get ahead of ourselves here, ATD. I'm simply saying...Please the masses. Huh? And Chrstian, we used to be friends. We first met while killing Steel Dragons and we were friends for some time to come...But you stopped playing for a while and when you started again we never spoke after that. Good luck with everything! :)

I don't need to prove anything. People are speculating, and are being told they're just stupid...If you aren't willing to prove it, simply accept their speculation.

Even so, that's something, not just denying it. It's not spam, this thread was created for the purpose of Pictures and Videos, with the understanding that we are allowed to comment on all pictures and videos. That we can do.

Developers Console...
It's not necessarily a case of any old code being removed, but new code possibly breaking something so minor in something coded years ago. There's another game I play, on the Ps3. It's basically an MMOFPS...One that has been in development since 2008/2009. The old programmers were sloppy with their work, so any new work that's done on the game (As it's a game that's updated in a monthly-basis, in terms of content added, etc.) so any new work done somewhere would end up changing something that was created a year or two prior, something so minor. And when so much stress is put onto the system once launched, that comes to the top and suddenly the game's in a heap due to it. It's not because of the people adding content now, just a minor issue previously that was magnified with something newly released. It is their job, but they can't play God and make everything work perfectly. That video also has no real proof behind it, it's just basic gameplay recorded. Nothing else, no fact in what's being done...Just text that any Joe Soap could do and a bit of a dodgy connection. I'm not convinced, very likely someone just looking for attention. Especially by adding that it's a bug to remember...Well...Not really. Just a world crash. EDIT: Had to cut the original post a bit short due to time restrictions...So adding this in now. Right...if we lived in a perfect world, yes you would expect there to be no issues with the game we play, at all. We would expect it to be bug free, from top-to-bottom. But sadly, we don't live in a perfect world. Not everything is caught and issues can and do arise, often times when we least want them. In reality, there needs to be a better attempt at a relationship with Jagex from its player base. How things currently work...If players find a bug, they abuse it and then blame Jagex for letting it happen... But what should be happening is those players alerting Jagex to the bug as soon as possible and thanking them for fixing it before things got out of hand. But no...Why would they do that. The majority of players are too selfish and loud-mouthed to want things fixed. They want to break and and then complain about it being broken. In the game I mentioned above, we've established a good working relationship with several of the staff members. Myself and a few others operate the largest clan in the game, and we have always been known to discover glitches. Rather than abuse them to kingdom come, we get hold of the staff and show them their problems, how it's done and tell them possible simple methods to fixing it. Our clan came to house most of the playing staff, because of how we worked. The game itself is in a situation where it doesn't look like it will last longer...And we've discovered some huge bugs that could turn things upside down. But because we care about the game and the enjoyment it provides to us as players, we decided as staff of that clan to never perform them or tell anyone else of them. In RuneScape, that's the complete opposite. Sadly. Most people have little respect for what's given to them and no appreciation what so ever. Yes, some of the above is off topic but it should be noted, anyway.

'HYT' and what happened here?!
I never really stopped HYT'ing, and yes sadly the Edgeville World 99 is no longer the same place. The old crew left, there's rarely familiar faces in Edgeville anymore. It declined rapidly over the past two years, from something special to nothing. Oh the times, they are-a-changin'.

Remember the days when...
Yup, good days they were. Where at Castle Wars everyone had a whip, no godswords, nothing. And the old Ice Barrage animation made everything lag on full servers, fun stuff. Inb4 remember the days we had none of that stuff.

Meet one of Jagex's new owners
Runescape doesnt have "epic" quality characters or stories, its doomed to fail. If WoW couldnt do a movie neither will runescape, and if runescape does it will be sitting next to the barbie dvd's Yes, but movies come from the imagination. They don't all have to have a backstory and built on something else. A new storyline can be created.

Infinite Gold Glitch
It's fake. I've known Svew before and he really is only capable of client-side things. He's done them before, they're in his other videos. He can't change anything within the game itself, only change what he can see visually. And using this as an excuse to to bash Jagex? Laughable. What will you come up with next, Batman?

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
Wanted to be appreciated, or immature because he didn't get his own way? Yes...some posts giving insight, most others not. Just because he's given one positive, doesn't mean the 10 negatives are wiped. Don't be silly. If I was the Admins I would have put a stop to their kids game months ago and not let them think they have some hold on the community because of some information they have compiled, I would have sooner told them where to go -- and in a manner that's not so friendly.

Is anyone else just completely disappointed with everyone?
Yes he disappointed me too.. Why remove a guide for such a dramaqueen who is only in it for recognition? Knowlenge should be shared, and not be limited by 1 person's emotions! I agree that knowledge should be shared. However, somethings were necessary in order to bring about the changes needed. In any case, the guide is not gone, it's just in a different place. For now. Yes, removing something really brings about a whole lot of change while you're going. Trying to justify it...Just....  If a community banned me after I put hundreds of hours into helping their users then I sure as hell would want to be able to take my guide down. Yes, it brings change, it says "don't take my work for granted, I'll bring it with me when I find somewhere that appreciates me." Maybe you personally don't think so but I though the Grimy Sheets were the best thing in the AoW. Now that they are gone I see little reason to visit that part of the forums anymore. Yes, and when them people take advantage of the community and constantly cause disruption and beat-down other users, they can do nothing but expect to get banned. Retaliation is laughable in this matter. Should the rules have been respected no-one would have been in this mess. People didn't just say "Lets ban them".
