Info on what, exactly? Can you possibly discuss it any more? "As usual", yes. Hello Page 51. Not everyone likes to beat the same dead horse over and over.

Things that annoy the HELL out of you.
I'm certainly not of a Maths/Science mentality, although I did enjoy the two. I was always very good at English going through school, I enjoyed the classes. But I didn't like enjoy the "hidden meanings" that the teachers pretend are there. Trying to link them to events, etc. which they aren't related to. We can do that with anything - pick it apart to such an extent that we are convincing ourselves it was said/phrased in a certain way for a reason... Sorry, but I don't buy it. I never did. It made poetry and others texts tedious and completely destroyed any interest anyone could possible have with it.

That is essentially it. Sometimes an apple is just an apple. I always argued why we bothered dissecting poetry and trying to apply meaning where there's not supposed to be any. Just because an event happened in a poet/writers life, at the time they wrote a particular poem/novel/short story doesn't indicate that there's a hidden meaning between every line. I actually have to disagree here. It IS possible to find personal meaning in something, even if the author didn't intend for it to be there. The problem is when the teacher tries to teach what THEY saw, and completely disallows all discussion. Well certainly, it is all down to personal opinion. And that is the problem. A class of 30 won't get very far if everyone is sharing a different opinion on what the text means. But we can look at any piece of text and decide there's hidden meaning to it. It's a rather foolish way of teaching, in my opinion. There are far better ways to educate, that would be more effective, than throwing several texts and dozens of poems at students and explaining this hidden meaning behind each. I'm not the kind to beat around the bush. Always "Mr. Negative" when I argued about something (Every poem/story I ever read) - because, as I said, an apple is just an apple. Spinning things to suit ourselves doesn't accomplish anything. There can always be a case where a traumatic event has happened which lead to something being written, sure. Robert Frost was able to translate real life events and feelings. I'd nearly say other poets/writers write "Just for lulz" so students decades down the line can bang their heads off a wall while being fed some nonsense their educator thought up.

Driving stories, complains, and other experiences
Down the country with friends two or three years back. A friend that lives down there owns a Citroen Saxo rally car, something like this: Two seats and a roll cage. Narrow country roads; high speeds. They barely fit two cars on the two lanes. Hearing "If a tractor comes around this corner, consider yourself dead." wasn't really music to my ears. Nor was it fun going 70MPH+ while he's steering with his knees to write a text. Country life.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Why is there a reason to make them cheaper?

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Dang, I should have sold a p-hat like I started to a few months ago and bought it back for lower prices. Oh well. They stopped falling last night. They rocketed down in price, panic-buing ensued and within seconds they were unbuyable for their previous price + a respectable percentage (Green had been 1050 - unbuyable at 1250). Following that was an instant crash to almost their previous prices. They have been slowy rising all day.

3rd Age/Spirit shields/Phats Discussion
Thought it would be a good idea to bump this. Phats today are diving. Blue's under 3B, white's 1.8 or so. Red's 1.3. Green's under 1.1B, Yellow and Purple are ~950M.

Voted for London, hopefully going to be attending next year. US isn't really an option.

22-Nov-2011 - RuneScape Revolution v3 & Anti-Gold Farming Measures V2
This is the only major error I've seen in this update. I'm not sure why they tried fixing the old arrows, but at least raise the split-off text so it falls above the new arrows. I don't really Want to type My RuneScape Messages like This ...You don't have to. If there's a word I have a hard time reading, I can click on the "Friends" tab and it displays the messages in the chat box.

No it would be 20k new members, if the HS is displaying properly.

Nearly 20k new names on the hiscores since last night.

I'm not sure what's going on with the hiscores...Whether they're trying to gather every member still but the numbers has jumped up from 566K to 574K. I think 8K people subscribing in a few hours is a little weird.

Yes I've been following it from the beginning; it's very enjoyable - although I feel it's a tad slow. A girl I know from Israel is the one who told me of it, and said it's a sort of copy of an Israeli show, apparently a true story. Except the prisoners didn't come home alive. (Something along those lines!)- What movie(s) did you last see?
I'm of the same opinion; rubbish movie. However, I must presume you haven't read the books. Nor have I. But those who I went with had - and to them, it was a good movie. We (Being normal - not reading the books) didn't really get everything that was going on, and will happen in the next movie. It's received rubbish reviews from critics. Becuase they are reviewing the movie as if it was just that- one movie. If they were to review the book and the movie, I think it would be different. One compliments the other.- Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
He never said government. I think he was implying Jagex ran their game into the ground, sold a huge amount of the game to investors, and now they don't care anymore. That's just my guess as to what he means though. Direct comparison to US Banks being bailed out (by the government) gives a fairly strong impression otherwise. Especially since investment is hardly a bailout. No no, you've got this all wrong. This is Tip.It. Jagex were bailed out by the government - that bail out was cloaked as an "Investment" so its customers wouldn't go running. They are evil.- Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
Well I just did that. It found the ultimate insult with everything hidden, but not the second one. Then I did google, and it found the ultimate insult 2 (moved) and said it was moved to rants, which I thought was funny seeing it doesn't even exist anymore, and then after clicking click here to view thread it just sends you back to the forum home. Can't just someone post screenies or something. The Rant forum doesn't seem to appear until you login. It's at the bottom of page 4. Login and search the user who created the thread and you'll find it.- Vanity Items - RS Prepaid cards and Ornate Katana

I can still see the thread. Over reaction much? [qfc]285-286-462-63381407[/qfc] We get it. You don't like Jagex. Quit preaching, maybe find a game you like. EDIT: QFC isn't working. Search "The Ultimate Insult 2" on the RSOF.- Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
Please refrain from personally attacking people who may disagree with your position. The question in debate is whether JaGex ought to exercise censorship against moderators who do not share the same vision as JaGex - those whom may disagree. It is not the same as 'jumping on a desk and yelling at customers' at all - the analogy is very weak because there's very few similarities between the two. My view on the matter would be that it should be most appropriate if the views of disgruntled moderators were to be listened to, should it be presented in a way that is constructive and civil. I do not shun controversy, nor criticism - it operates in their interests to be self-correcting. It is a shame that sometimes JaGex does not fully justify their actions - thus it can only be assumed that they have ulterior motives. Hmmm.. Jagex, a multi-million pound company should justify (Or walkthrough - as they are already justified) why they've done something, to its customers? No, not at all. What they've done is justified, those demodded know exactly why they were demodded. I've already supplied a rather large quote by Mod Mat K in a previous page of this thread. These moderators weren't censored, they're free to post their opinions. They are guided to post them in a feedback forum for Moderators (As stated in previous quote) as their opinions in public can be seen as the opinion of all Moderators (They have green backgrounds/Silver crowns). If every other Moderator can express their opinions in a certain forum - so can those that were demodded. It's attention seeking when they go out of their way to make it seem like they're the only ones with an opinion. And I believe his analogy does apply. If all of the other staff in that place can express their opinions to the management privately and respectfully, then so should they. Should they choose to jump up on that table and scream and shout, they shouldn't be surprised as to why their were dismissed. To then go outside of that place of work and preach that they were fired for disagreeing with the ownership...They're not being entirely honest.- Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
When growing up in school, there was one specific talk we were all given. If you want to drink, or smoke -- or even fight; fine. You're going to do it, you're human. But out of respect for those who you represent, and your peers, don't do it while you are representing the school (We wore uniform). If you're wearing the crown and bad mouthing them, no matter where, you deserve to be stopped. You're risking the image of every other Moderator. Resign your voluntary position if you no longer want to represent them - or choose to speak badly about them. No-one forces people to remain as a Moderator. Well, if you want to shout out your negative opinion, resign your position before you do so. Don't ruin the image of many because you don't want to provide feedback the same way as they do. That's selfish and simply attention-seeking. A lot has changed in 6 months. I'd love to discuss every point in full, but that's not an option. I've already commented on that above. Omali: I understand what you're saying, but in RuneScape each player has their own set of tools. You have a Report Abuse button and an ignore list. It's not like Pmods are the only method of reporting people.- Jiblix and Ken Genosis Demodded Over Speaking Out
