Don't forget that the majority of low level pures are mains who have just created their first pures, whereas the majority of high level pures have been pure for a long time. Absolute truth. The low level pures are the worst. They start pking at about 30 combat, flame people a lot,realise they don't make huge amounts of money, then quit.

Lies. If you're a range pure at low levels/tank at high then you have a distinct advantage, but nothing to the extent that you're saying. This is coming from someone who's played on a maxed ranged tank btw. It's a very significant difference in my experience. Admittedly I usually use addy instead of rune when Pking, but that's just another thing going against melee; full rune costs a lot more than tank ranging gear. Firstly, why the hell are you using addy armour? You have the levels for rune then use it. You wouldn't use an addy weapon, so why addy armour? Secondly, cost isn't a factor - we're on about EFFECTIVNESS. Compfreak mentioned cost as well, not too sure why when we're on about underpowered-ness. Finally, can I ask if that is your main account? It is extremely low levelled and definitely not a PKer. So if you're talking from first hand experiences, it's really no surprise that you get annihilated by ranged.

Learn by experience. No guide can teach you PKing. Oh and it is by no means a steady cash flow, especially with your level of inexperience.

It's worth it to me and I'll be getting around 85-90 this summer. It doesn't really have much of an effect on my solo PKing but it will greatly improve my tanking when I war with my clan :thumbsup:

Stuck in the void of free players? Oh please... You seem like a skiller, but what I would would be to go semi-afk your combat on flesh crawlers in the SoS. You could not afk it and pick up the gems as well if you wanted. Oh and get your unranked ranged up :wall:

I PK fairly often in F2P and I NEVER seem to have this problem...

If you want to keep interested in Runescape without the updates interesting you, then I suggest you join a PvP/warring clan. It's a great drain on your money and time and is even very fun. PS I can't believe quests are almost the only reason you're P2P :o
