Best Setup While Equipping Ancient Mace?
It's moot because he shouldn't be using a fury or a strength ammy anyway; you would want to be using a salve ammy (e) and spec on something undead.

70 Firemaking and 80 Cooking
Yes, an orange spicy stew, if I recall correctly. (May want to double-check that)

70 Firemaking and 80 Cooking
Still expensive even if you pick up spawned grapes, because the people who are buying grapes will, well, buy grapes, and you can sell them for a nice chunk of gp. Your best bets are maples for firemaking (or eucalyptus if you want to go faster) and fish for cooking, probably lobsters.

Junk Making
I don't think there actually are any effective methods of making junk that are faster than making money normally. The best method is to buy something in a junk trade, and recycle the same junk that you received from the other guy.

Worst Slayer Tasks
why leaf? i always kill em prety easily with whip on task, maybe 45secs-1 min per drag Metal Dragons are extremely weak to stab; somewhat like Waterfiends are to crush. I've heard of a lot of people doing this. Yar so Zammy spear > Leaf Bladed Sword for mith tasks. Just make sure you are antifire potted and you will just take occasional 20+ damage. : At that point you might as well go full Verac; you'd probably get faster kills.

Am I really that bad?
I don't tend to strike up random conversations in Runescape. And I don't view people who start random conversations with me n Runescape as "friends" in any sense of the word. If someone were to ask me to randomly add them, I would ask them why. Seriously. Why do you want to be on my friends list? It does nothing, except spam me when you log in and out. If you have a question to ask me in PM, ask me, and I'll add you. Then afterwards, I'll delete you. If you have another question to ask me, I'll add you again. Whatever.

Tip.it Times: 9 August 2009
About the DYK, it should be Scabarite, not Scarabite. Common misspelling. Bull. Absolute bull. How do cooking, fletching, firemaking, cooking, and crafting not require a genuine personal investment of time? Bull! "Buying" firemaking with maples is slower than getting 99 thieving "genuinely." And another thing--why the negative tone? What's wrong with buying raw materials? Whoever wrote this apparently thinks that money comes out of nowhere and getting 99 in a skill is as easy as trading a few thousand logs or fish to a magical genie who will then present you with a lamp for 13m xp. The Grand Exchange enables moneymaking more than any other update ever has. With the way trading has been streamlined, buying and selling have become as easy as teleporting to the GE and putting up an offer with just a few clicks. Before the Grand Exchange, buying or selling anything even a little obscure, like swamp tar, was an exercise in futility. Now, anonymous trading allows me to easily make money through activities I could never have done before, like making pizza or charging air orbs. Who would have been able to sell me thousands of uncharged orbs or plain pizza? Even herblore wasn't entirely a wash. Buying herbs and vials and making unfinished potions can be an extremely lucrative way to make money because of how fast unf pots are to put together. Cleaning grimy herbs is still a perfectly viable way to train the skill at a profit.

PMods - Purpose or Status?
It's not even against the rules to say **** or **** or *****, or to talk about websites like Google or Youtube, or to mention supported fansites like Tip.It or RuneHQ. You think Jagex is giving silver crowns to people who give out false reports? If people get muted for talking about runescape.com, then it's a false mute that will be appealed successfully. If the appeal is unsuccessful, it's the fault of the appeal system, not the player who sent out the false report. And the person who sent out the report is not going to become a p-mod because of it.

Prayer update, is it around the corner?
It is a spell. Lunar magicks has a supercompost spell and a plant cure spell.
-
wtf how is this happening?
Did it look like this? That's the lunar "Heal other" spell. They were casting it on each other to pull a prank on people like you who would mistake it for combat. ;)

It's probably related to the Barbarian Assault hint and Vargas's letter. We can't really glean much from that tidbit except that whatever new content is coming for the Fremennik area will involve dagannoths somehow.

Which is more rare
It's true, but you can also get summoning charms with Soul Wars, so it's not necessarily a method you'd use.
-
Woodcutting yews
Yeah. In fact, it's the about the only way of making cash that requires only REASONABLE levels (don't say 85 mining is reasonable) other than merchanting. Anchovy pizza takes a lower level and it makes faster profit.

Now you're just being a troll.

Terminal Stupidity?
Try hanging out with farmers. Farming tends to weed out idiots (no pun intended), because they don't know you're supposed to teleport away after you plant your seeds.

Prayer update, is it around the corner?
Depending on the update, that is. Yeah, absolutely it depends on the update. What if it's a new method of training prayer that people start to use instead of bones? Sure it wouyld be lame, but it would probably have the opposite effect.

Prayer update, is it around the corner?
Yeah. We also had the Offer-X option added to POH altars shortly after the first Q&A, if I recall. He never did say it would be a major update.

You call this Honor?
You should go into every fight in a PVP world with the expectation that your opponent will either kill you or run. If you want "honor" then try Clan Wars or the Duel Arena. This is real PVP where your character really dies and really loses items.

In order to really grow in power, the mahjarrat in question would need to be near the Ritual site, so it's unlikely. And there are only so many mahjarrat unaccounted for. There's nothing really preventing that, but it seems like it would be anticlimactic, don't you think?

Should F2P get skill capes?
The topic is "Should F2P get skillcapes," not "Will F2P get skillcapes." MMG is in charge, so I'll accept his reasoning that it would be a bad idea to encourage free players to pursue level 99 at all. It's a valid point; while the intention is to reward those free players who have 99, it would also spur other free players to train for 99 when, honestly, they shouldn't. I still think a stat-nerfed version of skillcapes would be acceptable for f2p, but not as a high priority anyway, and besides, I'm not the boss. *shrug*

Woodcutting yews
It's your imagination. Time yourself, you'll see. They max around 240 logs/hr on average.

Fletching Cape.
I have an answer to this. First, the goal of the game is not necessarily to get 99 in everything. Most skills have no content associated with high levels. Farming, for example, stops completely once you can plant Torstol, and all level-ups afterwards have no relevance to gameplay. The reason 2376 total is worth getting is to see what goes on in those maxed-out forums. Second, if there's a skill you really want to get to 99, why are you wasting your time on something else? If you really want 99 agility, but you go for 99 firemaking instead, that's 85 hours you could have spent training agility. By the time you're done with firemaking, thieving, fletching, cooking, and any other "easy" skillcapes, you could have already achieved 99 in whatever skill it was you actually wanted to get 99 in. Third, if you do decide to quit, then if you do the ones you enjoy first, at least you'll have put time towards something you enjoyed doing, rather than something you were just grinding out to get it over with. That said, I don't base my respect for anyone on what items they're wearing. I base my respect on what they say. The most a skillcape could make me feel towards another player is envy. 99 in any skill represents nothing except that the player has spent some significant amount of time training that skill.

No Update Week
I posted that on the 2nd page. Sorry for not spelling it out more. I said that so that someone wouldn't bring up the Rest, Randoms, Path Finding and claim that I was underestimating the time they put into them. Guess you went ahead and did it anyway, lol To be fair, I had already brought those up as examples of how the upgrades are really great improvements to the game. Things like the sortable spell interface really don't deserve to be a headline update. The trouble with spending the extra time to get things right is that you don't get it wrong the first time, so nobody notices all the things you fixed before the release. I'm giving Jagex the benefit of the doubt after seeing the initial messes we got out of Vinesweeper and SC and Bounty Hunter; nothing similarly stupid has jumped out and screamed "Don't you guys test this stuff at all?!" for any recent update I can think of, so I assume the new stuff is more polished and less rushed because of the extra time spent. The fact that Mobilizing Armies was perfectly balanced pretty much immediately (except for a temporary crash or something on some of the scenarios that probably had more to do with server load than design flaws) seems to support this point of view, although I will grant that most of the extra time was probably spent upgrading the engine to support it.

Woodcutting yews
Your expectations were unreasonably high. Somebody's been misleading you. Yews are never fast. Yews aren't a good way to make money. Not at any level. Not even in p2p, with a dragon hatchet, right next to a bank, in a full world, with four trees all to yourself, and level 99 woodcutting. Not even compared to other moneymakers in f2p. In fact, the whole woodcutting skill is a terrible moneymaker that's mediocre at best. Whoever told you yews were good for money was mistaken. And woodcutting level has no effect on how many logs you get before the tree falls down. You just have a certain chance of knocking it down after each log. In theory, you could get a whole inventory from any single tree oak or higher, although it's very unlikely. SOL? Mind explaining what that is? http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/SOL Based on context I'd say it's number 4 here.

No Update Week
Right now, they've been working on completing a new dwarf quest, a new Mourning's End quest, a new Myreque quest, a new Elemental Workshop quest, another rag and Bone Man quest, and the next Mahjarrat quest, among others. They probably have people working on every incomplete quest line right now. Based on the developer blogs for the dwarf quest, the design and development cycles of new quests is pretty long, so if they've started working on these recently because of a change in direction away from little quests like Perils of ice Mountain, it'll be a while before they show up. On your last point, some of the bigger upgrades like the run upgrade and the random event upgrade are more than just glorified patch notes, with balancing issues and such. It's really not a secret, since they had two blogs about just the rest function. That being said, I can respect your grievances even though I disagree, but why didn't you bring them up initially? Based on the topic title and the first post, you're ranting that a. there is no new content this week and b. all the new content has sucked lately anyway. And based on what you've said later in the thread, it's not an entirely accurate representation of your actual opinion.
